Hello, I was not lucky to deal with Gary, instead, I left my contact number and was contacted by Mr. Dimitrije Isakovic, a loan originator. He refused to give me the interest rate for the refi and just stated that it would be in the low 3% I provided all the needed documentations. A few days later, he called to tell me that I am not qualified (he dismissed my income and created his own criteria that I have never heard of). I politely thanked him, and applied with another company. The good news is that my loan has been funded today through this another company. Bottom line, avoid. read more

If you have complicated finances, you will have a very hard time to get a loan approved in today's lending environment. Let Mountain Trust get the deal closed for you. In August 2010 I applied for a condo loan with Joe Flanagan at Mountain Trust. On the plus side, I'm established (same job, marriage, and primary residence for decades) with$130k salary, and great credit, BUT: this purchase made the 5th property (and 6th mortgage) with my name on it. I'm also a co-signer on my son's school loans, so... lots of indebtedness. I also live across the country from the 2nd home that I was buying. Needless to say, intense scrutiny by the lending underwriters, but Joe was always prompt in relaying requests from the lender, and in responding to e-mails and phone calls. He was thoroughly professional throughout the process, which took 6 weeks (one week's delay = caused by my physical absence from the required documents, as I was out of state). I did not realize, starting out, how crucial it would be to have the right loan officer to stay on top of the process for me. Luckily, I did not have to learn this the hard way. I kept hearing him on the radio from the Mighty 1090. So I contacted him thru his website about a loan and to see how much we can afford. Gary had called me that day and made an appointment. I had everything ready for him that he needed and within a week, we were pre-approved using a VA loan at 4%. He showed us the bond market and how everything is affected, told us the rates and even had most of our closing cost covered thru the yield spread premium. I was stoked and decided to use Gary for Reality service too. We told him what we wanted and what area and within a day or two, my wife and I were already looking. It took about a month to find the house and of course we were looking at two houses. One of the houses was really nice and too many restrictions, we did not win that one, and the other one was perfect, he worked hard on to get us that house for a great price in a great neighborhood. Once we started escrow, he was super busy because of the rates, but he set time for us to look at the house many times for walk thru, my family seeing the house, and other reasons.
