beautiful farm!! did the baby lamb hay ride tour and highly recommend. very informative and got to hold a baby lamb at the end. Really sweet, check them out! The family who solely runs and operates Cress Creeks Farm are wonderful and can tell they pour their hearts into this beautiful place. Be sure to check out their farm store and stock up on their freshly baked goods (especially the cookies), fresh farm eggs, and bacon!!

I had seen this farm all over my Instagram so my husband decided it was worth a trip! We drove over an hour and were able to find the farm with no issues! Lots of signs showing where to locate it! Parking can get filled quick but there was some when we arrived! We took a look outside and saw some sheep, turkeys and ducks wandering about. We entered the shop and were immediately greeted by Mindy. She was so nice and informative when we had questions about their products and what she recommended. We really enjoyed looking around and taking a look at each and every item. We got some corn, sheep cheese, lamb meat, homemade short bread and chocolate chip cookies, lemonade, crochet sheep keychain, honey sticks and feed for the sheep! Everything was reasonably priced and we bought a lot! We went over to feed the sheep named Cocoa and he was so friendly! The turkeys were also super cute as well! I was also able to feed the roosters as they came over for their fill. Overall, it was well worth the drive and we were informed of events that they host so we for sure we will be back for that and lamb tours!

Beautiful farm with wonderful produce, meat, eggs, dairy products and homemade baked goods! If you have children (or even if you don't), the lamb tour is wonderful, and farmer Lee is a great host. Highly recommend visiting the farm and farm store and taking a tour (and maybe getting some lamb and duck eggs for dinner while you're there)!

Went on the best baby lamb farm tour and got to hold bonus baby kittens!!! Such a fun stop while you are in Ellijay!! Great for all ages!!

an incredible little farm store / farm ran by a sweet family. We came to town to stay in Ellijay and made sure to stop here for quality meats, eggs, and milk. The family who runs this operation are so sweet, great service and clean well organized shop - definitely make a stop here! They also offer corn maze tours, hay ride, and you can pet the sheep on the farm:) 10/10 experience!

The U-pick apple experience was a blast, and the orchard is beautiful, well organized, and family-friendly. We spent hours here between picking apples, browsing the market, and sampling drinks. There is an incredible selection of local products, baked goods, jams, cider, wine, fresh produce, gifts, and souvenirs. Everything looked fresh and high quality, although many of the items are definitely on the pricey side. We also tried both the hard cider and wine flights, which were reasonably priced and a fun way to sample several of their offerings before deciding what to take home. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming, and despite the crowds, the overall operation ran smoothly. Unfortunately, what should have been a five-star experience was overshadowed by one concerning incident. After returning from the U-pick orchard on the tractor, we noticed a family parked a couple of spaces away from us. The adults removed a younger child from the vehicle, and it appeared there may have been another child, approximately four years old, still inside the parked vehicle. We fully recognize the seriousness of making that assumption and cannot say with certainty what the circumstances were. However, with temperatures well above 90 degrees, we felt it was far better to report what we observed than ignore a situation that could potentially put a child at risk. What disappointed us most was the response. We informed staff of our concern, yet there seemed to be little to no sense of urgency. Even if it ultimately turned out to be a misunderstanding, I would have expected someone to immediately check on the situation or at least acknowledge the concern and verify that the child was safe. When it comes to a potential child safety issue, I'd much rather see staff respond quickly to a false alarm than risk overlooking a genuine emergency. Despite that experience, Mercier Orchards is still a wonderful destination. The U-pick experience, shopping, cider and wine tastings, and overall atmosphere make it a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting the Blue Ridge area. My hope is simply that management reinforces the importance of treating potential safety concerns with the urgency they deserve. Had it not been for that interaction, this easily would have been a five-star review.

And they deserve no less than 5 stars for the experience, from my first correspondence with Holly to arrange the tour, to arriving. The directions and the signage were momentarily confusing, but the site indicates to drive towards the right behind the barn on the gravel road. Pulling in you can't help but "awww" over the chickens, ducks, dogs and alpacas dotting the property. Once all of the other guests had arrived, the tour began and it was both fun and informational, about the farm, alpacas, and the artwork made from their fibers. Even my little one was less than her squirmy fidgety self and listened. Feeding the alpacas was really the most fun part as we were told that they don't particularly like being petted on their heads (only a minor bummer as we'd gleefully hoped that we'd get a few gentle pats in.) The tour finished up in the upstairs art studio where hand-made gifts were available, or where one could make a donation, as the tour is free. For how much fun it was, I wouldn't have hesitated to have been required to pay for it anyways. It was a very fun and memorable morning meeting some gentle and fluffy alpacas up close, and I would strongly suggest that anybody making a weekend trip to this area to plan ahead to also visit Lasso the Moon.
