A true variety store, where you can find just about everything. You a bit more for the convenience, but hey, you knew that, right?

Sushi specials on Wed are good. Really love the Fish/Seafood counter (esp lobster steaming and salmon poaching) Used to love the deli, but the ordering machine turns me off; the prepared foods from their formerly Gourmet Garage commissary look very sad, are not tasty, and are too expensive for the quality. I have managed to avoid the self check-out much of the time. The check-out people are the "human touch" that is increasingly absent.

The "customer service" area was crowded with lottery customers, yet there appeared to be little regard for efficiency or customer experience. Unfortunately, this visit was not an isolated incident. This location consistently feels disorganized, cluttered, poorly maintained, and VERY unpleasant. Fresh produce is often difficult to find, and the overall shopping experience falls far below expectations. Despite these ongoing issues, I continued to give them chances because I wanted to support a local business. After today's experience, I'm done. I'll continue to consistently take my business to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Kings, where cleanliness, product quality, and customer service are clearly priorities. This location has become incredibly frustrating, and today's visit was the final straw for our family. Gross!

Delighted at the selection of products. Non-perishable Kosher section was abysmal (laughable) as is typical. BUT while browsing the frozen section for a delicious kosher treat I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon something I was convinced to be an Ikea exclusive, the almond chocolate caramel daim cake! That cake is delicious and at only $6 an amazing deal. The prices at lidl are very affordable, only one employee in the entire store that I saw last night at around 8pm. Shout out to that employee hustling to check everyone out while also monitoring the self check out, you deserve a raise sir.

I found what I needed, and the produce was in good shape and was fresh. I also found some deals in the Lidl Middle aisle - cute, reusable handwarmers and food containers. Reading other Yelp reviews, I suspect there may be a difference in the experience for shoppers in the morning and those at night. I was there in the AM, probably within the first hour it was open. Note: The Union Lidl sells alcohol. I was surprised to see this. This section is along the wall furthest from the entrance.

At nine inches it hit the spot. ;) In fact, it's big enough for two, and perfect as is. With a great balance of vinegar and cheese and a dusting of parm, it had that classic flavor you can't fake. If this sandwich ran for governor, it would win. We also tried a couple of their Sfogliatelle. It was flaky, crisp, filled, and way bigger than expected. My whole family enjoyed them so next time I'm getting four. A real neighborhood gem! NOTES/TIPS: **Family-run, fast service, solid food. Hot dinner entrées, catering, and antipasti platters available. **Grocery section has biscotti, pasta, olive oils, and spreads- good for gifting. **Order on DoorDash, ChowNow. The place is small yet mighty and very clean. I picked up a few essentials for my carbonara dish and they had not one, but several, guanciale alternatives as well as a variety of imported pastas, including gluten-free varieties. Thank you, Scott, and team, for continuing to offer such a great corner store with delicious foods!

As I drove up to the supermarket I realized I had passed it before and found it interesting. This is perhaps the smallest ShopRite I've been to in quite some time. It really looks like this was originally a small neighborhood market that has been renovated over the years. The most recent renovation looks very recent, probably in the last few years. The sign is very shiny and new, the exterior is super clean and the interior is bright with a lot of the new lighting that ShopRites everywhere have been installing. That said, the store is smaller than say Garwood or Linden so expect smaller aisles and tighter turns as you navigate your cart through the store. Item selection was unexpectedly good. I find as a chain of supermarkets ShopRite locations vary in their stock. I figured with such a relatively small space they would have to limit their stock to the only a handful of brands but the selection was nice. For instance, they had about five or six different brands of peanut butter and a good selection of items in their Asian sauce section. The produce also looked nice and fresh. On top of all that I was impressed by their selection of items like Beyond Meat and Impossible Burgers. I did not really interact with the staff other than checking out. No one was particularly friendly but they weren't *unfriendly* either, just very neutral. This was not the best ShopRite ever, but I enjoyed the visit and it's good to know if I'm in the area I can pick something up here.

Still a convenient stop if you're in the area, but something as simple as Sun Chips (for example) not being available just makes no sense to me. It happens a lot, which is why I no longer frequent this location. Customer service is not very helpful either. They seem to not have any answers to any questions.
