Called following Memorial Day weekend desperate to find a campground with space. We stayed on a…read moreTuesday night, but other local sites were all booked. My partner and I reserved a tent site with just water access. It was beautiful, right on the pond and the perfect size for two people. The site was raked out before (an absolutely amazing, unexpected bonus). It came furnished with a a picnic table and a dug out area for a fire. It additionally had a private path down to the pond and a rock to sit on and watch the wildlife. You could hear giant frogs croaking all evening and in the morning Canada geese even ran through the middle of our site! We had a raccoon visit in the middle of the night as well, so the area is full of wildlife and nature. We were very close to the bathroom (which are cleaned twice a day and wonderful). We also arrive late, around 5:45, and we're worried we'd be locked out. Though the camp store/check in area was closed, they taped our preregistration info to the door, with a map and all the campground rules. The staff workers were super pleasant and courteous. Outstanding customer service. There are only two critiques that I have: Each site seems to be very close together, I was glad to be there during a slower time as I do not believe there would have been much​ privacy otherwise. The second critique is how loud the camp staff transportation is. The golf carts are very loud especially when the sound travels so well across the ponds. We didn't take advantage of the pool, fishing, paddle boats, R/C Race car track, laser tag, mini golf, or any of the scheduled programs. But based on the rest of our experiences, I'm certain they're top notch. Ultimately, highly recommend this campground!

Prices went so high and now resort fees are being charged, I understand prices go up but I also believe improvements and upgrades are needed to show the increase, nothing has been done, other than pushing away seasonal and yearly clients. Been camping here since my kids were little about 15 yrs, started cabin then tent then pop up and TT now with grandkids. Loved this place unless things improve and the manager learns to interact with clients we might come back. Many other issues with a "sec guard" that is seasonal. We miss Greg.

However, I was told the kitchen area was equipped minus a few items, which it was, but more utensils for cooking or grilling. The cleaning staff need to focus on the dust on the blinds and on furniture. Also, the floors were sticky when we arrived, so I swiffered the floor. Not a big deal, but it would do wonders. One last thing... there are 2 pools. One is a bit larger and a tad cooler. The other is the warmer pool. What I noticed is the water color etc. The smaller pool water was not a crisp, clean, see through type water....????? Like pool water should be..... Anyways, we will stay again, no doubt. Oh and get a liquor license for booze at the lounge.

Maureen, the owner, was very helpful and communicative leading up to our trip, and once we arrived, the accommodations were wonderful. The rooms are all different and have their own quaint feel about them. The breakfast each morning was delicious, and on late nights, the innkeeper set our group up with wine so we could wind down. The grounds are also pretty, and it was nice to enjoy some time outside. The inn does not have an elevator (obviously, it's a restored old home!), but as long as you do not have mobility issues, this is a fantastic place to stay during your visit to the Berkshires (the location can't be beat if you're going to Tanglewood and the like!).

We had no idea what to expect but the photos online looked nice. We were beyond ecstatic when we checked in & met the owner Corey. He was friendly, professional & customer service is his middle name! The property is gorgeous, beautifully maintained & all rooms completely renovated when he purchased the inn in April of this year. They spared no expense in furnishings & finishes & thought of every needed amenity. You have self check in/out using electronic keypad locks. Rooms are spacious & beautifully designed from the bedroom to the bathroom including retro refrigerator, small table with chairs, and lamps with usb ports. The sliding glass doors at the back of the room let in tons of light during the day & the room darkening curtains allowed us to sleep in peacefully. The property has a beautiful front lawn with adirondack chairs for lounging & table with chairs if you want to enjoy your meals outside or play a board game. My favorite was the swing chair on the porch of the office where I enjoyed a brief relaxing time one night after returning from dinner. The inn's location is central to tons of activities including a sculpture garden, wineries, farms, great restaurants & the Norman Rockwell museum where we viewed the MAD magazine exhibit. The property is meticulously maintained & Corey is always available to assist with any needs. We had a small issue with our door lock & he was onsite immediately to resolve it, even bringing us some delicious cheese & crackers from a local cheese shop for the difficulty. To me the sign of a great business is not one with no bumps/small challenges but the way the owner/management handles that issue, & East Rock Inn gets an A++ for customer service & guest care. I cannot recommend this inn enough & we will definitely be planning our next trip there soon!

The worst for me was there was no hot water. I had a treatment at Kripalu (very close by) and I really needed a long hot shower. It as barely warm. That alone was a deal breaker a it was March. I'd stay here again if the hot water was better.
