The hospital itself was fantastic! Very kind staff who tell you how it is bluntly and don't beat around the bush. They called me in advance to help me know what I needed to do to prepare and what to expect. The receptionist was friendly and very welcoming into the facility. She was able to give my husband directions to breakfast places near by where he could eat while I was having my tonsillectomy. She let us pick a show on Netflix to watch while we waited and made sure we were well taken care of in the reception area. When I was brought back into the prep room the nurse let me know they were behind schedule and it would be longer than we had anticipated. But she helped me become as comfortable as possible and answered all my questions. I talked to both my surgeon and my anesthesia doc for about 10 seconds before the surgery. Doctor Dahl was my surgeon and can I just tell you, he is the single best doctor I have ever had. Seriously! He told me all the options I had and helped me make decisions based on my personal needs/wants. He was cracking jokes and had me laughing all the time. He listened to my concerns and took care of me the best way he could. The anesthesia doctor was less outgoing, but still professional. He talked to me to distract me from the injection and told me what it was going to feel like and to try and focus on breathing. I felt a burning and then before I knew it I was out - quite painless. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the post surgery experience. I woke up from the surgery because I heard a loud bang, then began panicking because I couldn't breath and I was all alone. Next thing I hear is my doctor yelling "someone call the police" and all the nurses started running around behind the curtain. My crazy brain thought there was a shooter in the hospital and I needed to get out. I was strapped to the bed and couldn't get up or move at all. I was having a full on anxiety attack and couldn't talk or yell because my tonsils had just been removed. I started crying and thrashing around but luckily my husband came to check on me and jumped in to help. He tracked a nurse down for me and she was very kind and apologetic, she got me up and gave me some water. She informed me that being emotional was a common side effect of the anesthesia. I kept trying to get up to leave because of the "shooter" but it turns out it was just some guy that had gotten back into the surgery area posing as a doctor (they think he was trying to steal drugs). They couldn't get him to leave so they called the police. But I'm not going to lie, that was a scary experience for me since I was all doped up on pain Killers at the time. I don't remember much other than that after the surgery but other than the random guy breaking in, I had a good experience here and would recommend it for any adult who needs their tonsils out. read more

I am extremely unhappy with my experience with this doctor and his office. I had a medically necessary surgery, but the procedure was coded as a weight-loss procedure on the billing. This has resulted in significant out-of-pocket costs for me because my insurance did not process it as medically necessary. For more than eight months, both my insurance company and I repeatedly contacted the doctor's office asking them to review the billing and correct the coding. Instead of receiving help or a resolution, I was repeatedly told the issue was being reviewed and would take additional time. After months of trying to get this resolved, the matter was ultimately sent to collections. What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication, follow-through, and professionalism throughout this entire process. I expected the office to take my concerns seriously and work with me to correct what I believe was an incorrect billing code. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this doctor or his office. The lack of communication and follow-through has caused me significant financial stress and frustration. read more

Provider was fine, but the subsequent billing nightmare has me filled with regrets. Despite paying the due balance in full, and the money being pulled from the account immediately, they claim it's still pending and hit us with late fees. Pay the late fees and the subsequent month there's late fees for the late fees because they claim the payment is somehow still pending. Outsourced support is of course unable to help, and only makes the experience more frustrating. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had my surgery on December 26th , I paid everything in advance. I was told the anesthesia may not be included. At the end of March I received a bill from Mt west Anesthesia. I paid it on April 3 it went out on bill pay on April 6. I called their customer service and asked why it took so long to get the bill. They said they sent it to the insurance company and got the reply on February 27. Again I ask why did it take you a month to send me a bill with a late due notice? She said that iya just how their system works?? So today I received another late due notice with a charge!! I called customer service again, the agent said that they don't reconcile their accounts until the first of the month??? They have cashed the check but do not show it paid ? Here we are in the middle of April and this company has still not handled the account. I think they bill slow so the can charge a late fee and people pay it. I have to have the same operation on my other hand soon and we will not use this company. i will also forward this to the better business bureau read more

It hard to get their money if they cant ever bill the insurance company. Was told "You talk too much" by Mark Ott and he immediately told the anesthesiologist Robert Wells to "put her (me) out" right before a procedure. Can you imagine how vulnerable that might make someone feel? Someone who you have quite literally entrusted your life to at that moment? I will never feel safe to have another procedure at IMC ever again! Better know the exact number of "grams" of medicinal marijuana you smoke a day, so make sure you have a scale that goes out 2 points. Apparently 1/2-1 tsp/day was not a good enough answer. And make sure not to use the term "water pipe" or your anesthesiologist will irritatedly say "just say bong if it's a bong!". The last time I went into a smoke shop the correct term was "water pipe" and they will correct you. Or, just don't tell them at all if this is the type of reaction you would like to endure. Demeaning is the word I would use. Thanks Robert Wells for the traumatizing experience while being my anesthesiologist. *Also, all calls go to an out-of-country call center. If I could give less stars I would. The anesthesiologist was great but the billing team is in the Philippines and is very rude especially the supervisor Aris. They billed my insurance incorrectly and told me they would rebill and never did. Now they tell me that the insurance wouldnt have processed it if it was incorrect. I had my baby girl in February. She's my first baby. It was my first time getting an epidural and I was so nervous and scared for it. Dr. Dial was the one to give me my epidural. He was very nice, he explained everything perfectly to me when he was doing it. I got my epidural pretty early on. If I needed a little higher dose at points, he would come in right away to give me more. I was really impressed with him. read more

They told my insurance that they didn't receive the EOB, for the second time. BUT according to YOUR statement, you DID receive a payment on 8/8/24! And then, on the same day, 8/8/24 you add back in the original amount?!?!? Funny...if you did NOT receive the EOB, how the crap did you know how much the payment was?!? Their billing department is the worst you will ever interact with. I have never seen people so blatantly show what is either gross incompetence or malice. You can confidently assume that no matter how many times you call them they will get something wrong. In my case it took 3 calls to get an actual itemized bill. When I paid, they said they'd waive the finance charge. They didn't. Tried calling them again about it, and they said "we'll send it to our billing department for review" as if they aren't the phone number listed for billing questions already! I got "disconnected" as soon I got to a supervisor (the same supervisor who told me she'd waive the charges in the first place), who of course never attempted to redial me as any decent person would. Do not use this place. They had a wrong address listed for me and sent my $85 bill to collections. The collection company called me and of course I had no idea I had a bill. Mountain west had a wrong address and everyone had been sending notices that I was not getting. The collection company that mountain west uses had a collection fee of $185 as well as my $85 bill and wanted all of it. I told them it wasn't fair for me to pay a collection fee so they told me to send in my identification with my real address. I did it that day, did not hear back and I kept emailing them for an update. Well, over the weekend they served me papers and now want $500. FOR AN $85 BILL THAT THEY MESSED UP ON THE ADDRESS. I will never use this company again. They are incompetent, and use a terrible collection agency called NAR. BEWARE. When I called the lawyer, his paralegal was awful. Blamed everything on me and told me I was responsible. read more

I never thought I'd care what anesthesiologist used in a surgery, but after 15 surgeries last year they are proving that I will ask and NEVER use them again. Terrible customer service. Takes them forever to post a payment and often forgets to send out payment reminders and is quick to send to collections and does not like to help you on the phone. The billing department at Mountain West anesthesia is horrible. They called me to collect the payment when my insurance was still processing the claim. And then they started charging me finance charges again, while my claim was still being processed with my insurance. They called me at night, left me messages, I would return their call with a very detailed explanation about what was going on and they would never return my call. I just kept receiving messages stating I would be sent to collections. I would never recommend these guys. read more

Dr Dustin Anderson was my Anesthesiologist for my surgery. I was impressed with his bedside manner. He listened to my concerns and answered all our questions. After I experienced a Cold Blue after one of my back surgeries I'm a little Leary about making sure I keep breathing. HORRID EXPERIENCE dealing with this horrific and incompetent billing department. I got a preventative colonoscopy in March and when all other bills were paid for 100% by my insurance (as they should be with it being a routine colonoscopy) this stupid anesthesia company claimed I still owed money. Nope. I have spent over 36 hours straight on the phone with many different people trying to get someone to understand that this bill should be completely covered by my insurance and that I'm not paying for it. The worst part, I just returned their call as they said there was an update to my account, but when I called her back she had the audacity to tell me that they contacted my insurance and that they told her that anesthesia was not covered as part of the preventative plan and that I still owed them. What the actual?? So I called my insurance and she said that that was false and that they would resubmit the bill as covered and send a copy to this awful mountain anesthesia that it's paid. So before I was charged interest again I paid them off completely..... but they apparently didn't like this and took a THIRD payment out of my bank account which put me in the negatives by several several hundreds... I called yesterday to get this fixed and they told me to call my bank to cancel the payment. Ummm... my bank isn't responsible for your accounting mistakes.
