He took all the measurements and I received my chaps 7 weeks later. I am SUPER happy. The materials are outstanding and the details superb! I would definitely recommend them for your custom-made chaps. Barbara was super nice and helped me buy a very nice knife and some other items while I waited for Gary to finalize the order. I can't wait to go back to Cody and buy more Western stuff form their shop.

I was able to find what I needed at this store, plus I had a good conversation with the store manager. They have more fabric then anything in this store, and I wish there was a bit more choice in thread, but I was able to learn that I can have my machine maintained with a contractor in Cody who picks up your sewing machine and charges only half of what I used to pay elsewhere. I was just happy to have someplace local I can go when I need something on the fly. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that there are classed being taught regarding arts and crafts. The manager sent me across the street, and I talked with one of the teachers who put me on a list for a specific class I may be interested in. This store gets a 5 star rating for being local and for pleasant help within the store.

I came in here to ask for a Cody downtown area map and ended up carrying on a conversation with the super friendly employees, glancing at their large store FULL of local arts and souvenirs and buying a few knick-knacks. Unlike other businesses in the area, they allowed me to take a picture of the renowned Jackalopes they had hanging on the wall for sale. If you're asking what a Jackalope is, well today's your lucky day. It's an imaginary Wild West animal of folklore and a cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope (or goat or deer) which is usually portrayed as a rabbit with antlers. H&B has 'em for sale if that's what you're "hunting" out during your Wild West ventures. --See a picture of one under the business listings-- Also what's unique is that the owners of H&B get to know, firsthand, the artists, craftsmen and people who created the unique and special works of art that they sell to the public. Again, they have everything from buffalo heads, clothing, dolls, dreamcatchers, drums, jewelry, pottery, and more! We were traveling through Cody and simply needed to find a jewelry store where we could borrow the jewelers eye loupe. These kind folks had just closed the store but allowed us to come in anyway and borrow the eye loupe. We spent a good 10 to 15 minutes discussing a specific piece of jewelry. There was probably nothing in it for the jeweler, but they were so kind and generous with their time. We also had a nice conversation. I think they are solid people and would highly recommend visiting their store and doing business with them if you are looking for a nice jewelry store in Cody.
