At 7:15 I got up to see if I would be helped further and the same woman appeared from the back room and said "we're busy, sorry." I asked why she accepted the reservation if they were busy and her blank stare suggested her English was not advanced enough for the question. For the past couple of years I had been going to Star Nails in Oakhurst, but aside from my regular technician (who recently relocated), I unfortunately had repeated experiences where the work felt rushed, overly thick, or uneven. I often left feeling dissatisfied, which is what finally pushed me to start looking for another option rather than continuing to settle. I decided to try K Nail Spa, even though it's about 25 minutes away, and I'm really glad I did. When I arrived, I was the only client, and I learned they operate by appointment only, which I appreciated. Dang took the time to evaluate the set I came in with and explained that the previous acrylic had been applied too thick and had started to curve upward. Rather than simply filing them down and risking problems later, he recommended removing the old set and starting fresh so the structure could be corrected. I really appreciated that honesty and attention to detail. He created a new pink-and-white acrylic set with a soft ombré finish and a short almond shape. Most of the appointment was spent carefully placing the acrylic and refining the shape, which resulted in nails that feel light, natural, and well balanced. The final result is elegant and exactly the type of look I was hoping for. The salon itself is run by a husband-and-wife team and has a very personal, small-business feel. If you're looking for a huge spa atmosphere this may feel a bit different, but if your priority is finding someone who focuses on doing careful, quality work, this was a very positive experience. For anyone else in the area who may be searching for a reliable nail technician after losing their regular person, this place was a great find and definitely worth the drive.

I have no issue with the child being there or him needing to care for her. All she needed was gel fill/color change. She wanted her nails a navy blue to match her dress. She wanted ONE accent nail to be a French tip with a rhinestone. By the time she realized what happened she didn't feel comfortable speaking up. All French tips with an ugly pink and the closest thing they had to a navy blue with sparkle. The prices on the wall indicate it should have been $30 for the fill, plus $5 for the French tips. So even though it was wrong in style we went with it but then we were charged $50!!! So unhappy. First time and last time clients.
