After deciding to start a nanny share with another family, we initially thought that we could save ourselves some money and hire a nanny ourselves by advertising for the position on websites like Care.com and Facebook. However, this proved extremely time-consuming, yielded few qualified applicants, and resulted in someone we tried to hire backing out last minute, leaving us with just two weeks before our current childcare ended... with no nanny, no additional qualified applicants, and no time or energy left for the search (since it was a busy time for me at work). At that point, we contracted with Kiddie Up to help us find a nanny for our nanny share. Just one day after signing the contract, Maggie set up a conference call with me and the other mom and posted the position posted right away. Within four days of signing the contract, Maggie sent us four qualified applicants and we started interviews right away. During and after our nanny search, Maggie was extremely communicative via email, always answering my questions within 24 hours but usually much faster. The nannies who applied to our position through Kiddie Up were of a MUCH higher caliber than any we found on our own. All of them had already passed a background check, completed an interview with Maggie, and had their references checked before we received their applications. I feel extremely thankful that we found our amazing and experienced nanny among those applicants. She has been working for us for four weeks now and has far exceeded our expectations in every single way! Without Maggie and Kiddie Up, we never would have found her. Maggie also helped us with contract negotiations and set us up with a wonderful, experienced temporary nanny who worked for just my family during the two weeks before our permanent nanny could start. If you want to hire a professional nanny, I highly recommend contracting with Maggie and Kiddie Up Nannies. Their services are well worth the cost and much more reasonable than other agencies. The negative reviews are the exact opposite of my experience with Maggie and Kiddie Up. If in doubt, I suggest you email Maggie yourself to see what kind of response you receive. I trust that you will find her to be professional and communicative in every way.

    Nannies of the Rockies

Nannies of the Rockies is a complete scam. Do not go anywhere near this company. I am working with…read morethe City of the Boulder on a consumer complaint investigation on this company and we are also working with a lawyer to pursue this company for the harm they caused my family. We lost $11,000 in commission on a nanny that didn't work out for stealing and lying and Nannies of the Rockies completely disappeared and did not return our emails and phone calls. If anyone has had issues with Nannies of the Rockies, please reach out to me. We believe their contract is an unenforceable contract as you cannot accept a commission and then disappear. It's called a negligence and the company may be liable for damages including the wages we spent on the nanny and additional damages beyond the commission and wages. The company did not disclose that the nanny did not work out with prior families. We found this out later. Instead, they sold us on the nanny being the best they have ever represented. We are also discussing with the Department of Justice on not disclosing material facts in an attempt to make a quick gain from your customer. They then put the nanny back up on the site without inquiring with us what the stealing and lying pertained to, which means they are cycling through commissions on the same person multiple times in one year -- this deepens the gross negligence of not disclosing our situation to future families. Do not let this negligent company put a childcare placement in your home. They are the most unprofessional, unethical and scandalous company I have ever come across. To disappear after pocketing $11,000 while recycling nannies that don't work out in other homes ... good luck getting away with that. For anyone needing home care, go to Indeed.com and put up your own advertisement and do you own search. My hope is the State of Colorado recognizes the sheer negligence they have shown their customer -- who has a small child. We are talking about families and children here and they're trying to run some shell of an operation where they take your check and cash it before the nanny even sets foot in your home (and of course, they insist it's a check bc you can't open a credit card dispute) -- this company reeks of scam (nobody requires only a check anymore) and it's time someone stand up to these terrible practices. The contract is not worth the paper it is written on. We will not let them bully us on the contract, it is complete and absolute nonsense to take a commission and claim you have no obligations to the customer. The fact they did not return our calls or emails after taking $11,000 and we emailed them a long email explaining the contract was terminated for stealing and lying (and then putting the nanny back onto the site) says everything in terms of the negligence this company is demonstrating in the State of Colorado. We will also have taken note of the so-called good reviews on this company and will investigate further to see how many of them were legitimate customers (so many have 1 review only under their name). And we will be contacting those who left bad reviews to see how many cases of negligence there is where this company took a five-digit commission and disappeared when the nanny did not work out. If you're looking for care from your child, you should heed the bad reviews and do not fall for the good reviews (with only 1 prior review, etc). Indeed.com will product quality nannies that you can run your own background check on -- don't give your money to this scam.

We sent 3 of them, and no response. This was after 4 months with the nanny. To make matters more messed up, they had the nanny that stole from us back up on the site as a featured nanny and they were promoting her as a house manager! Keep in mind, that they never contacted us to see what happened or try to make things right. They just took our money, ignored us and went on to the next commission.

This was the first time we have put him in child care aside from his school at home, so naturally I was a bit worried. All of that worry was for nothing. The first day we were greeted, filled out forms, and Kristin came to get him to bring him back to his room. He was having a hard time saying goodbye to mom, but as they walked back, I could hear Kristin asking if he liked trains. It is so nice when people are engaging and pivoting the topic instead of telling a kid they are okay and mom will be back. He had a great first day. The second day was much easier during drop off. When I picked him up, he started crying and did not want to leave. The third day Kristin came out and he RAN to hug her. As a parent, this is the best feeling in the world to see someone treat your child with so much love that they are drawn to them. It is abundantly clear that the staff members work here because they love what they do. He also had Skyler and Maggie as teacher and while I had limited interaction with them, I know our son was very happy when I asked about them. They give a detailed report of the day, even report potty breaks. The level of detail and care was top notch. Honestly, he was happier here than at his own school back home. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that they are amazing and your child will be safe and loved.
