I love this library! It has so many different activities, and things to do! Though it is a bit small, it has a lot of reading content!

After a loooonnnggg educational hiatus, my dad sat me down about a year and a half ago and said, "I…read moredon't care what you do, but you need to pick a major, and finish it." I chose something Business related because the company I work for would foot the bill for part of it, and, having been a nursing major, and an art history major my first round of college, after doing a few pre-requisite classes at a community college I was back in the University game. Coincidently, as it turned out, I am great at Business, and have settled into my majors very naturally. CWU-Lynnwood offers a great alternative to the expensive cost of the only other local public university (You know, the one with the icky purple and gold colors) Here, for a fraction of the price, I get a quality education from great faculty, and all the support services of the full university in Ellensburg. CWU-Lynnwood has a computer lab and library services, as well as an on-site writing lab for students. In addition to all the services offered by the University, students can partake and participate in any services or events offered by Edmonds Community College as well (since the school is located in it's own building on the Edmonds CC campus) Students can purchase textbooks and even collegiate clothing in the Edmonds CC bookstore. While the majors available for study are some what limited, they do offer some great choices for students. I am currently finishing a double-major in Accounting and Business Administration, while also completing a minor in Economics and a certification program in Supply Chain Management. All that for less than what I'd have paid at the alternative schools available to me. Seems like a savvy business decision to me, so my education is already paying off! And I have no doubt that this combination of education will provide me with a more than adequate future salary in the business world. Other available majors include teaching certification, IT and Law & Justice. CWU-Lynnwood also offers one graduate program, for Accounting majors, which meets the requirements for the fifth year of credits that is required to sit for the CPA exam. The school has clubs and programs in place to help generate a sense of community on campus, and loyalty to the school, with a student leadership program that plans fun events for students on a regular basis. For Accounting majors the student accounting society puts on annual networking socials for students to meet with firms in the area, and the school has staff in place to help students find internships to help them further their education, and professional goals. I could not be happier with my choice of CWU Lynnwood to finish my degrees. I feel my professors care for me, my education, and my professional development, and are more than adequately preparing me for grad school (which I'll start in Fall of 2012) And I've made some wonderful friends in my courses and a few just hanging out in the student lounge area studying. AND the cherry on top: you get a free Snohomish County bus system pass just for being a student. What a deal!

I started my undergrad degree here in January 2007 and will be graduating in June 2008 (I take 15…read morecredits/quarter). Being that I am majoring in Accounting and I work full time, it is really helpful that CWU offers a lot of night classes so I can complete my degree close to home. The tuition is affordable and one can take out student loans if need be. I've only had a couple of instructors that I didn't particulary care for, but overall I think the faculty is excellent. For the location, price and quality of education, I have to give this place 5 starts. Let's face it: Getting into UW's business school is extremely competitive and even if you do, they do not offer night classes. Seattle University has a great reputation, but not good enough to spend 30k a year on tuition, etc.

Also, good luck getting anyone from advising getting back to you. I've contacted them three times with nothing. I am done after one quarter, and will be so happy to go to another college that acts like one for my next quarter. Shout out to the professors I did have that did a great job. Very dissapointed. You would think they would actually try to get in touch with you concerning it's a business.

I'm not yet a student but I live extremely close to Edmonds College and when I started thinking…read moreabout going back to college after a very long absence, I decided to apply. I was very confused as to what steps to take to enroll and even though the college's emails were helpful, I wanted some one on one assistance. So on my day off from work, I drove over and found my way to the Admissions office. I was greeted by the most wonderful woman and I hate that I cannot remember her name, but she was extremely kind and even left her desk at the back of the room to show me where to go to speak to an advisor. When I got to the building across the hallway, I was greeted by a very sweet woman named Ella who helped me set up an advising appointment. Although I hadn't planned on it, I also took a Math and English placement test in their testing center. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. When I met Ella for the appointment, I was really nervous about starting school again, but she was very helpful and offered to look over my transcripts from my four previous schools to help me decide what classes to take. She also eased my fears about my learning disabilities and so forth. The campus itself is really nice. I parked behind the buildings in the visitor parking so I had to walk halfway across campus to find the buildings I needed. But it was a nice walk. The campus is spread out but not so much that you would find yourself turned around. It can be confusing at first, but I found my way to the student union and looked around. It's very nice and spacious and there is a nice bookstore inside. The store was closed but I'm looking forward to checking it out. I am so excited about starting school in the fall and I think I'm going to love being an Edmonds College Triton. I'll keep you posted. =)
