I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

I had a 12 - 2 hour time frame and he got here at 5:20pm. Michael did a good job on my carpet but they were left very wet. Took almost 24 hours to dry and I had fans on the carpet. I had him clean my ottoman because I spilled some water on it and it left a water stain. He did tell me that it might not come up. That water stain came up but he left other water stains and black marks all over my ottoman. When I texted him about the black spots shortly after he left he responded w a rude defensive answer telling me that he didn't leave the black marks and told me it was a stained ottoman to start with. I told him it was not a stained ottoman. Since then no one will respond to my texts or messages. Horrible customer service and expect a late arrival as others have mentioned. I was moving and needed to get the carpets cleaned, so I bought the deal and called. They were very nice, especially when I said "yes, I'd love to have it done on the 31st, like everyone else!". I added a flight of stairs for $49 as well. Received a call the day before (yesterday) giving me a two-hour window, and today, the nice guy (whose name I don't remember, sorry) called to ask if he could come a bit early? EARLY? Um, sure. Quickly got everything into a couple of rooms without carpet, gave the dog some toys, and the three rooms AND the stairs were cleaned in no time. Really, I couldn't believe it when he said he was finished, and the carpets looked GREAT. My goal is to not have carpet in the future, but if I do, I would definitely call these guys again, Groupon or not. Tips for good Yelpers: vacuum first (they are there to clean the carpets, not vacuum them for you), give your nice cleaner some water on the way out and a tip. And a "thank you". And call Beckwith!!
