I was not aware of this. I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking to eliminate the stress of clutter in their home. After writing this review, Got Junk had attempted to contact me to rectify the situation within 24 hours. ******************************************************************************************** Phoned 1800-Got-Junk to have a bunch of misc. things removed from our basement. They are polite and courteous, etc. The customer service up to the end of the removal was great. However, a few days later I discovered they had taken something they were not supposed to, a handmade wooden bathroom cabinet built by my wife's father. It was near the items to be removed, but I had indicated only to take items up to a certain point in the basement and leave the rest, The cabinet was for our renovation and we had been saving it for some years to finally use it. Needless to say my wife was pretty upset about it. I phoned the company back and they told me it was likely disposed of. They told me they would call back. I have not received such a call. I would call the $160 price tag worthwhile had it not involved the loss of something of such importance to us. I spoke with a very helpful customer service rep named Ali, but after booking with this company it went downhill from there. We were promised a two hour window that was to be from 10:30-12:30. We were also sent an email stating that we would be called between 10:15 and 10:30 to let us know when they would be arriving. This simply did not happen so I finally called at 12:15 to find out why no one had contacted us. The person I spoke with did not really have any answers for us so I asked him to please have a manager or someone who did know why we hadn't been contacted us to call us. I did receive a call from a manger named Kathy approximately 5 minutes later to tell us that not only would they not be arriving at the promised time but we would be lucky if they arrived at 2:30 at the earliest. She gave no explanation why we weren't called and offered a very insincere "I'm sorry". I told her that this service was unacceptable but she did not show any concern in the least. I also told her that I would be writing a review and once again she simply did not care. We were on a time restriction with the sale of our house and had hired Just junk for this very reason. Due to the fact that they made no attempt to assist us I would not recommend this company to anyone and will certainly not give them any future business.

    Just reading Shauns review. They did the same thing to me back in 2016. Everything was already…read morepacked, but they came over, had a look at everything, which was boxed and ready to go, and they said that they were not going to do it as there was a lot of stuff that was loose an not boxed up. The unboxed stuff was what I was going to take, not them., I pointed this out, but they still refused. And they ALSO said to contact Two Burley Men.

    I booked this company to pack and move my belongings. The packing crew showed up and had a look…read morearound the house, and said they were going to go out to their truck and get boxes. After about 45 minutes they hadn't come back in to start packing. At $205 an hour, I sure want to see packing and not smoke breaks. I want out and asked what was up. The crew chief said rudely that there was too little space for them to pack and they had called the boss about it.?????????? He was talking somewhat scornfully to me. What the hell? That's like having a mover show up and say they can't lift boxes, so they won't do the job. I tried to call the firm but no answer. I emailed the estimator but no answer. I went out again to ask them to commence the job. They refused. The crew chief rudely told me to call 2 Burley Men. No other solutions were offered. The house was as seen by the firm's estimator, and no problems or required prep work was mentioned to us. We hired packers because the deadline to move out - our house is sold - is close, so even though the estimate was high, $205 an hour, I hired the firm and paid a deposit. The workers would not return to do the job. The crew chief's arrogance let me to strongly suspect that if they did the job, they would do it poorly and our belongings, some of which have dollar and sentimental value, would be at risk. I know that it never works out well if you have to force or convince someone to do a job against their will. I told the crew chief to do the job, he declined. He swore obscenely as he got into his truck to leave, calling me a variety of generic nasty names like 'fuckin' asshole' etc. Just as well. There's no way I'd want to hire a packer who couldn't do such a simple job. The crew chief was too incompetent to do the job he was hired for. Incidentally, There were none of those lauded uniforms. These guys didn't even take off their shoes, which were not safety footwear, I have a varnished wood floor. Thanks for the damage, jerks. My lawyer advises me that this firm will be liable for the difference in cost between their estimate and what it will cost me to do a rush last minute move with a different firm. Later I get a call from Rebecca, who introduces herself as the spokesperson for the firm. She insisted that the crew left and didn't do the job because I had told them to leave. I did not. They left and refused to do the job. So the crew chief is lying as well as incompetent and miserable at customer relations. Let me point out that I have cameras with audio and there were three of us in the house that can confirm the facts. Rebecca took the position that I had declined services. This is not the case. Her crew chief refused to work. I had no option except to hire a different frim or be unable to complete my move. Chose a more professional and reliable firm than this one. Rebecca would be wise to get rid of her packing crew chief and replace him with a decent person. Rebecca, you better fire that guy in order to preserve what you can of your business. Regards, Shaun
