They were supposed to have 3 movers, one man, the husband of the office lady is a car mechanic and he keep saying that he was not a mover and did not want to be doing moving. They scratched and ruined multiple pieces of furniture. I got estimates for repair. They also hit my mail box and a neighbor said they were laughing and drove away without telling me. The owner agreed to give me a check for $2200. I have called multiple times he hung up on me yesterday, he keeps saying he is so busy. He also said he would send his people to finish a few items of the move, after being told all this for a week, I just hired someone else yesterday for $300. (Now out $2500.) I want my check for $2200 which should now be $2500 and to never hear from them again. They said they are a new company, but unfortunately I would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

The second time the tardiness threw a very big wrench into the gears and I don't remember the excuses but know we ended up having to stay in a hotel because of the delays. What is unique about both instances is being told that there were issues with their bank so they had to have cash for the job. For each occurence the other oddity was not being able to get a reciept for my tax purposes. I saved all the text messages between us in case I faced an audit but it occured to me businesses have the luxury of collecting unreported cash...and that bothers me!!

All the issues with packing and having our stuff in storage for…read more2 months was made much easier by dealing with Matt, Donna, Jim and the entire crew at Huff Moving. We left New Hampshire on July 11th. Our homes precious contents in the hands of a moving company, William C Huff Moving. They stored it until we returned to the States on September 24th when they delivered it to our new home in Cape Coral Florida. Both ends (pickup and delivery) went smoothly. The guys showed up when they said they would and did the work. We had over 10,000 pounds of "stuff" that was moved into storage, stored then delivered. Damage was close to nothing (an oil crayon to cover one scratch on the backside of a dresser did the trick). We had 13 estimates when we started this process. Matt wasn't the cheapest but was the lowest of the bidders that I considered capable. His final billing was slightly over what was estimated and he gladly refunded the difference. I would highly recommend Matt and his team for anyone that is considering moving.
