Movement for Life is a great PT group with high quality therapists who have great knowledge and a great attitude. I started with them in August of 2023 for lower back pain and neck treatment, and feel like a new man. I work with Kyle as my primary and have also worked with Karen and Colleen, all of whom are extremely knowledgeable. They tailor an exercise/stretching program to one's needs and end the session with heat or ice and a TENS unit. An added bonus is that their location is a couple of blocks away from my gym where I can do treadmill and additional work. Just a great group that I highly recommend. read more

BEWARE !!! Few years ago I tried this place and my therapist was Colleen and couldnt help me at all. I didnt have a good experience with her since her poor evaluation and treatment. Then after my pregnancy I was ordered to go back to this place. My neighbor recommended me Eric Balash. He was treating my lower back and hip issues for months. Unfortunately, on January 10th, I came back to see Eric Balash to let him know that i was pain free thanks to medication. But that day Eric Balash injured my lower back so bad that after 10 min visit I couldnt move. I couldnt walk or seat. I told him that after he pushed my back it hurt me really bad. Everybody looked at us surprised that I was screaming in pain. Later he hold my hand, and guided me to the exit. He grabbed my things and made me seat in my car saying dont worry tomorrow you will be fine. I came to this place painless and that day I could barely walk after his treatment. I recently asked for his medical notes and to my surprise he changed the story. He said that I complained about stiffnes and tensión in my back and i was able to walk out the clinic with my own abilities. Please stay away from this place or like me you will end it up with another injury or worst!!! Nobody called me from this place to check if i was able to walk without help after the visit with Eric Balash. I had to call him and complain about his medical notes. Eric Balash only apologised and said he was sorry. Please patients need better healthcare providers, instead of people like Eric who changed my medical notes and providencial the worst care ever. My physical therapist Eric Balash and the exercise assistants took such outstanding care of me I can now get back in the swing of life. I'm 76 years old and when I started treatment with Movement for Life I was going down stairs using both hands on the one handrail as my knees were not only unreliable but quite painful. Active treatment lasted, I think, two months and I experienced good progress. I continued the exercises at home and I can now go easily up and down stairs comfortably and without use of the handrail. I am extraordinarily grateful for the services provided by Colleen Vecchetti, as well as the many staff members who helped me. I had rotator cuff surgery with Dr Schueckler in Jan/2020. I worked with Eric Balash at San Luis Sports Therapy and feel I've had a very successful recovery . The staff at Morro Bay San Luis Sports Therapy is great; safe, efficient and friendly . I switched to this office due to Covid concerns and they did everything in a safe manner. Eric Balash has a good balance of knowledge and experience combining massage, stretching and strengthening exercises. He's a good listener and explains the recovery process well . He also was the only PT that followed through with shoulder range measurements and was thorough with communication with my surgeon. The physical therapy I've received at Movement for Life in Morro Bay was, and continues to be, exceptional in every way. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped. The physical therapists, all of them, are top notch and current in their field. They explain why pain and restriction of movement occurs. They may ask for an x-ray should an injury or problem call for better clarity. Take this to mean they are professional, ethical, and want the best for you. All of the staff, the physical therapists, PT Aides and office staff, work together to create a positive, caring, and safe atmosphere. I was so fortunate that San Luis Sports Therapy happened to be less than 5 minutes away from my house. It was a very different experience from any Physical Therapy I had experienced in the past as it was all done with multiple patients in 2 large rooms instead of the 1 on 1 experience I had in the past. They also have multiple therapist working the room so you never wait too long. Once I got past the initial change I grew to really appreciate this approach. It was very thorough and comprehensive. This is the place to go. From my first evaluation the week after surgery for rotator cuff / biceps tendon tears, they made it all about me. The entire staff is engaged, outgoing, and wanting to help. Eric Balash was my amazing PT from September/Mid January 2020/2021. I had a severe ankle injury with surgery & a plate & screws placed in it. When I entered for my 1st session I was in a huge boot & used a walker or my knee rover. Eric took me right where I was without pushing me beyond my mental or physical comfort zone.He provided many helpful home exercises to do, which really helped!!! In July of 2020, I suffered a torn bicep tendon in my left arm in Los Angeles just before starting a 3-month housesitting gig in Morro Bay. I became a regular patient at San Luis Sports Therapy under the care of Colleen Vecchetti and her incredible staff of young therapists. Not only did I receive excellent, knowledgable treatment, but this group of people is particularly warm and friendly. I am having a hard time putting into words just how good MFL MB is. I'm 55 and I have a hip problem which started as what I thought was a back problem. I started months ago with Clara at MFL MB. I just finished my therapy for now. Every person I had contact with was so professional and so caring. The way they move you forward and track your progress was awesome. I had a full knee replacement in June with some added complications. The team at SLO Sports Therapy in Morro Bay has been fantastic in helping me achieve my recovery goals! Although my assigned therapist is Wade, who is amazing & really knows his stuff, they do use a team approach to treatment. As the other reviewers noted, the staff are personable and get to know you by name. The room can be bustling but I always feel like I'm given top notch attention. They are very motivating and push me appropriately but also listen to and respect my hard limits. The atmosphere is always fun and lively! I came to Movement for Life after having a terrible bicycle crash over a year prior in 2020. My issues weren't resolving, in fact, it seemed they were worsening. My therapy started with Michael and we were making some progress...but then he abruptly retired. I was worried about a new therapist taking over treatment without a full new evaluation and unfamiliar with my complicated case. I have to say how completely unwarranted my concerns were and how wonderful my new therapist has been. For the first time in a year and a half of living in constant and life limiting pain, I feel like there is hope. Ben Taillie has been so thoughtful and thorough in his approach to trouble shooting my very complicated, non-standard injuries. There are no simple textbooks or protocols for my issues but Ben has been willing to travel down this unknown road and try new things to create an effective treatment approach very specific to my problems. He is an innovative therapist that is willing to stretch himself to meet the needs of his patients and really try to understand and correct the source of the problem. Ben is very hands-on and attentive, in fact all of the therapists are very involved with the entire process of rehabilitation. The Aides and Assistants are wonderful and create an environment that feels comfortable and light-hearted, which is really nice when pain is wearing you down. You don't feel like you were 'handed off' for training here but rather, there is an ongoing communication and reviewing of the exercise protocols each visit. Ben is REALLY creative with exercise... it's not just everyone gets the same program in this clinic. Let's not forget the smiling face that greets you and takes care of the schedule like a magician, Alyssa.
