After that you can buy discounted punch cards. The studio is small, and the class was full. I agree with other reviewers, it got HOT! Hot and pregnancy don't mix well. Almost an hour into the class I was starting to feel nauseous and was going to leave, but one of my fellow students also spoke up and the teacher turned on the cooling system. Whew! (Next class I'm going to ask for the cooler sooner!) There are several teachers and I haven't had a class from everyone and once had a sub teaching. I was kind of disconcerted that there wasn't any music playing, the room was very quiet. The instruction was good, and lots of props were used for support. The teacher also made a huge effort to learn our names, check in with us often, and offer more props/supports if needed. We also went around during the class to introduce ourselves, tell what week we are in, and what we are struggling with which helped the instructor to give personalized advice. After the class several of the ladies chatted and shared information which made the class feel like a community. I was happy to meet other first time moms! I will be back throughout my pregnancy!

We learned several ballroom dances, and they instructors were so nice and helpful! We actually managed to do some dancing on New Year and not make total asses of ourselves. Meryl came highly recommended through a close friend at the perfect time for me and my husband…read more Several months into the pandemic lockdown, we realized that we'd fallen into a sedentary lifestyle that was doing our bodies and our sanity no favors. I joined Meryl's Zoom group workout class and it made me remember how WONDERFUL it feels to push my body and build strength. Meryl is an excellent coach; even in a group setting of varying levels Meryl knows exactly how to modify every move so that everyone is pushed appropriately. A few months ago my husband and I started personal training together as well with Meryl and it's really taken our training to the next level. Not only has it boosted our physical fitness but I can tell a difference into our confidence in and out of the gym as well. And my clothes are fitting better, which I am extremely happy about. I'm also a big fan of the types of workouts we do with Meryl in general. Each routine is intentional and focused. She's always happy to modify if something doesn't feel right, answer questions, and correct form. We look forward to our workouts every week!

I travel frequently for work and she's able to be flexible with my schedule as well as adapt workouts that are feasible in a hotel room. Meryl was also able to adapt my workouts throughout my pregnancy, from incorporating more yoga /stretching to modifying exercises. I really appreciate that she could change up an entire workout on the fly depending on how I was feeling that day. It made it much easier for me to stay active during my pregnancy, even until late in the third trimester. If you're looking for someone who will be flexible with YOUR fitness goals (in my case, consistency and strength), Meryl is a great choice.

From the…read moremoment class started, the instructor never introduced herself before or after class, which immediately felt unwelcoming. Mind you this is our first time trying gymnastics ever! What was even more upsetting was how my 5-year-old daughter was treated. The instructor looked at her with what appeared to be disgust and consistently ignored her while helping the other children in the class. My daughter is on the heavier side, and it genuinely felt like she was being treated differently because of her size. Every child deserves encouragement, patience, and equal attention, especially at such a young age. To make matters worse, the instructor spent what felt like 99% of the class on her phone instead of actively teaching, demonstrating skills, or paying attention to the children. Parents trust instructors to engage with and supervise their kids, and that simply did not happen. This experience left my daughter feeling excluded, and no child should leave gymnastics feeling that way. We will not be returning, and I sincerely hope the facility addresses both the professionalism of its staff and how every child is treated, regardless of their appearance. No child should leave a gymnastics class feeling ignored or less worthy than the other kids. We will absolutely not be returning, and I cannot recommend this gym to any parent looking for a positive, inclusive environment for their child unless your child is skinny. Definitely went and tried another gymnastics place and they definitely helped my child, was very attentive stayed off the phone and made her feel welcomed with all of her new friends!

I am a new(ish) student of Bianca's Intro to Ballet class. I studied ballet for many years as a…read morechild and teen, even working my way up to being en pointe. A couple of years after I stopped dancing, I had to make some medical/medication decisions that resulted in rapid weight gain. That was nearly 20 years ago: I am now 36 years old, 5'2, and weigh 250lbs. I love ballet more than anything, and I have spent much of my adult life searching for a class where I could feel comfortable, centered, and try to figure out what balancing is like in this body I have now. In most classes I've tried, I have struggled to keep up, to be seen as valid in the eyes of other students, and to feel like I was worth the teacher's time. From my first email to Bianca, she assured me that fat ladies are nothing new at her school (my words not hers) and her classes are very much geared toward meeting people where they are at. I have found this to be 100% true. This Intro to Ballet class has already been transformative for me. It's a lot of work to figure out how to do many of these moves/positions that I have muscle memory of, but now in a completely different body. It's tricky to figure out exactly which muscles to engage when, since many of them aren't as close to the surface of my skin as they used to be. Bianca has been kind and accommodating, always willing to troubleshoot with me. Since I do seem to have more of a ballet background than many others in the class (an adult ballet class for ACTUAL beginners! so rad!), I feel valued for the knowledge and confidence I have. The other people in the class seem to be enjoying themselves just as much. We laugh together, groan together, smile encouragingly at each other, and make faces at each other while we rub our sore muscles. It is rare to be in an environment that is simultaneously so challenging and so supportive. Bianca fosters a really special atmosphere at this school and I look forward to taking many many more classes there. I wholeheartedly recommend Bianca Lily Ballet and I am overjoyed to feel like, and be, a dancer again.
