To celebrate our wedding anniversary that was yesterday, Tony and I went to Movie 10 & Fun Barn in Nelsonville Ohio to see "Twisters" We have never been here before and it was GREAT!!! All first run movies all day everyday kids, adults & seniors all one price....ONLY $4 We also got a large Popcorn for $3.50 and Large Ice water for free!!! Less than $12 for a new first run Movie with concessions.....what??? Is this the 80s??? The game room is HUGE!! More like a Dave n Busters than a Chuckie Cheese!!! There is a large eating area Great for birthday parties....Whole Pizza for only $7...we didn't eat the pizza but I loved and noticed the prices for future visits with the grandkids! Definitely definitely definitely recommend you going here for a fun filled afternoon or date night!! There is even a Simpsons' Pinball Machine Game!!! read more

Like stepping back in time! They appeared to have been using an old-style projector, which made the movie so much warmer! GREAT prices, and you can bring any food you want into the theater! No choosing your seats ahead of time, so you just have to show up early, just like in my childhood. This theater brought back so many memories, and I honestly don't even want to see movies anywhere else now. The seats were also very comfortable! My husband and I both always have back pain after going to the movies, but not here! Best movie theater we've ever been to!! read more

Only theater really. Yeah great prices. Obviously. But 80% of the menu isn't available by the theater. Arcade machines broken. Can hear other movies through wall or ppl walking in front of projector. No previews or Hanes before the movies so quiet AF and VERY BORING! Website is boring. Candy selection is absolutely horrible and sucks!!! A few healthy nasty things. Always run out of tiny @ss hotdogs. Cold nacho cheese. Pizza sauce bland everything falls off in one bite. Cheese sticks over cooked cheese hard on entire bottom of the sticks. Run outta napkins constantly. No bbq sauce to use for dip. Line is crazy bad to get use your tickets for gifts. Parking lot full of weeds. Not enough working lights after dark especially parking in the back of lot. Takes forever to purchase tickets and only get so long to sit. COULD DEFINITELY BE GREAT BUT LACKS BASICALLY EVERYTHING!!! I love this movie theater, I have been bringing my children here for years. I drive about 30 mins one way to come here and it's absolutely worth the drive. It costs under $20 for 5 of us to see a movie and the drinks and food start at $1.00. There is also games here for the kids to play, sometimes we play them and sometimes we don't it just depends on how much time we have. I love the pizza here and everyone is always really friendly at the food bar. I have never felt unsafe here either. read more

Movies 10 used to be the movie theater to go to when I was a young child. I enjoyed myself every time I went to see a movie. I still remember seeing Shrek for the first time at this theater. Popcorn and drinks are cheap; but you get what you pay for. Candy selection is rather bland; but; again; cheap. Although; unlike most movie theaters; you are free to bring any outside food into your theater; which I do appreciate. Now that I am an adult; I realize this theater is slowly falling apart and is only held together by the gimmick of having a sub-par arcade. Their theaters are all ground floor; and really does a number on your neck when sitting up close and looking up for 1.5-3 hours (depending on the movie you see). I wouldn't choose to go to this theater unless I were with a group of people who insisted on going their instead of Columbus or Athens. read more

Oh, how I love this theater. The first movie I remember watching as a child was The Lion King, and it was right here at Movies 10. I grew up watching movies here, and at one point my family made a monthly trip to Nelsonville just to see a film. Today, this is still my theater of choice. I'm from Logan and we don't have a theater, so if you want to see a movie you have 2 choices: travel 25 minutes in one direction to Lancaster, or travel 25 minutes in the opposite direction to Nelsonville. Lancaster is a great town, they have a pretty awesome library and their theater is in a big mall with tons of shops, a food court, and an arcade. So why go to Nelsoville? Well, because it's better, that's why. The tickets here are super cheap. They've been the same price since I was a kid, just $4 per person (and recently, $6 for 3-D movies.) They briefly raised their prices to $5, but it was only temporary, and it's possible that they were just fundraising for the arcade they build onto the place recently. The tickets went back down to $4 after the arcade was finished. The concession items are also reasonably priced too, which is nice for a change. The place is also pretty clean too. There was a time when the seats were getting old and the floor was always stick, but after the arcade was built they put a lot of money into restoring the place, and it's really nice now. I really hope the locals appreciate this place, I'd love to have something like it in my hometown! Unfortunately with the gas prices, it's not practical to come here regularly, but when I do see a movie I always come here. read more

This place was great! Even though the hours are later, it's a nice place to relax in the early evening with friends. You can get rather cheap movies and snacks for a good price. And if you're waiting for the movie to start you can hit up the arcade and play a bunch of games. There is a large variety of games such as Monster Drop, Guitar Hero, Fruit Ninja, and the classics like Stacker, PacMan, and Basketball. I had a good time and the theater itself was comfy. Another terrific outing! Ant Man in 3D! Large sodas for $1.50, large bags of popcorn are a mere $3.00, and 3D movies are only $6.00! Regular movies are $4.00! Wow! Rainy day in Hocking hills? GREAT! Go to a movie theater that has all the service and prices that remind me of my childhood. An awesome arcade and 10 different screens to choose from. #terriblecustomerservice Friday evening I check the website for movie times showing this weekend. It showed a movie showing today at 1:25pm so the 8 of us drove over an hour to get here. They were not showing the movie at this time they said they would. They won't explain what happened, they have no answers as to what went wrong then proceeded to tell me that the movie must no longer be in theaters. Said movie is showing at 4:10 tonight! They have no answers are no help and honestly don't care if you wasted time, money, or anything to come to their theater. This comes from one of the owners who I spoke too. I will be avoiding this establishment from now on. I advise you to do the same. read more

This is certainly not the newest theater but we love it. It could use a little updating (there's a campaign poster up from 2008) but you can't beat it for the price. $6 for a movie, popcorn and a soda is unheard of these days. Employees are friendly for how busy they are. We will definitely return. read more

I love going here. The price is great! The food is cheap, but the quality is good. It is basic, but clean and nice. The people are professional. Movies 10 is the cheapest theater I know about! It's a family owned business and has that charm! Movies are only 4$, 3D only 6$. The concessions are the cheapest I ever seen for a cinema! You can get a large pop corn for 3$ and a large soda for 1.50$! You can get a good meal at the arcade in the fun barn and even bring it with you into the theater! Buy a pizza for 5$ and bring it into the theater! It's has 10 theaters and they are small and have traditional seating no stadium view like most theater! They have an arcade and it has some of the best claw machine in athens county! Compared to most arcades they have a fair ticket to prize ratio. I feel the arcade is lacking traditional arcade machine like pac man. They have a simulator and bumper cars but haven't had them going in years! It would be nice to see them running the two!
