And don't expect any "consulting" services - we apparently had grubs and it killed a large patch of grass in our front yard. The guys that come put the fertilizer on the lawn are just techs and don't know anything about lawns in general. We were put on the schedule pretty quickly and although Ben was able to identify the issue on the initial visit he didn't have the materials to fix it then. Thankfully he was able to locate and shut off the water line to the sprinklers so the leak would cease until he was able to return. Ben came back the following wee and took care of the entire issue. He was efficient, quick AND the cost was reasonable. Lawn Sense has now replaced our old company and become our go-to sprinkler company!

Garrison showed up, quickly identified a faulty controller module--and then immediately pivoted into a sales pitch for a full system replacement. I clearly told him I'm selling my house in a month and only wanted the issue fixed. His response was that they "don't like these types of controllers" and I'd need to replace it anyway. No attempt to repair it. No effort to quote the work I actually requested. Instead, after a quick walk-through, he handed me three quotes ranging from $1,500 to over $6,000 for upgrades I explicitly said I didn't want. He also claimed my system was "leaky" while half the zones weren't even running. This wasn't a service call--it was a sales call. And they still charged me $75 for it, refused to refund it, and wouldn't even provide a quote for the repair I asked for. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If you want someone to actually fix your system, look elsewhere.

James had one of his workers take down the tree. The deal was to include grinding the stump down. The guy didn't do that, and the issue remained unresolved for quite some time. Finally, the guy came back and grinded the stump (not completely, but we didn't complain). The problem is, he left the grinded portions all over the yard in a giant mound. I spent time bagging it all up myself. Our regular lawn guy came around and charged us $80 to bag the rest. We informed James we would deduct the $80 from the total or he could complete other work to receive the remainder. He didn't like that. Crazy thing is, we have several mutual friends from high school somehow. My friends are quite normal, so I'm not sure who would hang out with someone like him. Check out these insane text messages where he wants to bring me on his boat, insults my character and my husband. These are only the ones he sent me. He also sent my husband insane texts.
