Very disappointed in my service with this company. They will mow the designated areas but do a horrible job of blowing off beds and paved areas and will not lift a finger to pick up a stick. I paid for them to poison my weeds and the man was there for 2 min and didn't spray anything. They said they would respray if necessary when I asked for a refund. The weeds of course didn't die and they charged me anyway. They have nice trucks and advertising but just horrible service. I was skeptical but when Yelpers are right, they are right. Brookland (I hope that's how he spells it) was super quick to get back to me and absolutely knowledgeable and nice. Answered any and all questions and was here exactly when he said he would be. He's also super affordable and he did an awesome job. We just moved to Frisco from El Paso. In the past, I have struggled with lawn care companies that would show up on a consistent basis. So I was not looking forward to the struggle of having to find a new company for our new home. Initial sign up is a little cumbersome with all the emails. I don't like prepaying for services but on time, professional and accommodating. Good work so far, will use again. Update: very good service, stand by their work and very reliable. Wish communication was a little better when it comes to services and advice about lawn. I requested an automated quote from Lakehill Lawn which I had never received, even after checking my spam. When I sent another query out the owner responded and told me I was not in their trade area. I emailed back that my neighbor referred them as that's who maintains their yard and gave me their name!! He emailed back saying they had some 'legacy' customers in my subdivision they were still taking care of. So Brookland then texts my neighbor (as he probably realized they had customers outside of their zone - which by the way ends 1.5 miles from my house) and ends their service!! Not even a personal call to say thanks, discuss an option or the error... Is this really the way a 'legacy' customer should be valued? Lakehill Lawns business is obviously great, they clearly didn't want my neighbors business, don't need my business and I bet don't need yours either. I would look for another provider just based on this experience. read more

I started with Lakehill several weeks ago now. They do a great job with the lawn, and their rates are great too. But, they really take customer service to a very high level. On one cutting, the wheel of their mower caught a board on the fence. Not only did they bring this to our attention immediately (great accountability), but they offered to fix it, and did just that. Brookland gives 5 star service!! He is extremely approachable and has worked with me every time and truly shows he cares about his clients. I had baby bunnies in the yard and he skipped mowing for one week and then mowed around their nest the following week. Lots things change! Poor customer service! Tried to charge me for days NOT HERE. They agreed to weed wak my front beds , small and just weeds, then when I said did you forget? This older guy came back and got really nasty about it! Well , if it was such a big issue, why not say something? Why agree to do it? Been with these guys for 2 yrs, never saw this guy before. Then he accused me of not paying. He charged me for a date he WASN'T here! I write down on my calender when they do the lawn. They skipped my for 2 weeks but still charged me. I even have their text where THEY said " drove by earlier, and looks ok, see ya next week" So, not just my calender is right! Don't try to scam me! Never had a complaint till today. Just one encounter with this older guy, was ENOUGH! Rude! No " people skills" Thats for sure! I won't be bullied! Just because you raise your voice and try to talk over me, doesn't make it true! I see by your repy you still can't add!! I already paid same day as always!! So I got NOTHING free!!! You miscalculated how many times you " skipped" but I did NOT! I write down on my calender each time your here. So nothing FREE and nothing paid for when service not given! You should just be honest and own up to the fact you " skipped" one time too many. Too bad you lost a customer because of ONE visit! Don't try to paint yourself as the peacemaker now! You didn't try to "make me happy"! You refused to even look at the copy of texts that show without a doubt, YOU skipped! It was NEVER about me paying or not!! I will not be slandered! I have to give a big shout out to Lakehill Lawn! I had scheduled another crew to come out and take care of my lawn and they did not show up the day of service or the next day. With no explanation why, I needed to find someone to help, and fast, to prepare our house for a showing on the weekend. I contacted Lakehill Lawn through Yelp and got a response in under 5 minutes and they were at my house in about 10 minutes. The crew did a fantastic job, the pricing was very reasonable for a same-day rush scheduling, and they left it looking great. We had called 5 Lawn Care services and none of them showed up. The last one we had did a terrible job and made a big mess in our neighborhood. We are unexpectedly being relocated to Florida and I don't need to worry about having ANYTHING withheld from my deposit in regards to the lawn/yard. Our regular lawn guy was asked if he could trim and do a general clean up of shrubs etc that were on the front of our house. I did not go to "inspect" the job that was done as he usually mows our lawn and does a decent job. I assumed that the standard would be the same. I was so wrong. I went to hand water my plants in the evening and discovered to my horror that a ton of clippings were left in the flower beds ! My 10 and 11 year old sons and I were outside until past nine at night cleaning up ! UGH to make it worse he wanted to charge us $75.00 in addition to the $30.00 for the lawn mowing and when I complained about the poor job, he got upset and and said he would not be trimming for me any longer. The following week he mowed for our neighbor and was scheduled to mow for us and just never did. Enter Lakehill Lawn Works. I called and spoke with Brookland and explained what had happened and asked if he would be able to mow that SAME evening (this was about 6:30pm! ) This young entrepreneur was pleasant, mannerly and clearly took pride in doing his job. He did an absolutely awesome job! Clearly knowledgeable about lawns and this field and also aware of quality customer service! I am actually happy that our bad experience led me to find Brookland!
