I am leaving this review to note that Moxie seems to be a great service. However, you truly need to have an in depth conversation about the animals you have on your property and how your life will be affected by it. A door to door salesman told me it was completely pet friendly and only mentioned that those with respiratory issues need to be vacant from the house for an hour or two after application. When the technician showed up, Garrett, we spoke more in depth and he informed me that it is not as simple as that. We had a great conversation and he gave multiple other options on how we could proceed while keeping the animals unharmed. He is the reason I'm writing this review to show that this place has great quality. I'm upset that the management/sales team did not share this information with me initially when I acquired the service, but I will give 4 stars due to the great technician that kept our reptiles safe and fully disclosed what would need to happen. Thank you Garrett! I will be cancelling my service due to this and looking for other options, but if you do not have these same restraints I would encourage you to seek this company out and request Garrett who was truly a breath of fresh air during this process. read more

Definitely not a company I would not want to use. The sales people are running through yards at 8:30 to 9:00 at night, knocking on doors and ignoring the posted no soliciting signs. There is even a large clearly posted no soliciting sign at the entrance of our gated neighborhood. When asked if he was aware, this was a no soliciting neighborhood, he said yes sorry about that but anyway can I sell you some services? Reviewing the other, only validates their poor sales tactics. Fast talking young man appeared my front porch with his Segway and apple tablet. He said he would pay for my first treatment with my 69.00 startup fee if I agreed to 3 more quarterly treatments scattering but killer around my home exterior and brushing my exterior for spiderweb and other bug evidence. I agreed to a total of 4 treatments and the last treatment was in January. Now they claim i agreed to more treatments and that if I don't allow them to continue that I owe them 180.00 for that first treatment that I was told was gratis from the young sales guy. These people are not honest! Don't use Moxie! High pressure and untruthful! read more

I f-----g canNOT stand their salespeople or sales tactics. They walk right past No Solicitation and No Trespassing signs and still ring door bells. If they catch you with the garage door open, be prepared for the most exaggerated hard sales tactics that door to door salespeople can spew. They are right up there with Vivint security systems salespeople. Did I cave and use Moxie once? Yes I did. A one yr contract, they came out 4 times. One time, they left my back yard gate wide open where my dogs could have escaped. I was livid! That was when I decided they didn't respect people's property to close gates they had opened. I canceled after my 1 yr contract was up. I don't answer my door anymore. If my garage is open and I see them coming. I postpone whatever project I was working on for another day. A$$hole$, the salespeople and the management that hire them. The whole lot needs a crotch infestation of fleas and crabs. read more

My last service was performed by Dametrus who was very thorough, he took his time and asked if there were any problem areas I needed him to focus on, which he did. Didn't realize in the fine print they can jack up prices with zero notice and the amount you signed up for in the contract is basically null should they choose to change the pricing! Hard sell, did not providse services throughout the quarter, but insisted on enforcing a service agreement and charged me $250.00 and threatened me with collections if service agreement not paid. We have nothing good to say about the pest control, never could get rid of the spiders. Their termite bait stations were fine until they picked them up, just left holes in the yard where pets could step in them and break a leg. A waste of time and money. read more

Apparently pushy sales people are the norm. No is an answer. Yesterday dude on crutches (didn't identify himself) ruined a perfectly good date night last night because he scared the crud out of our babysitter and kids. And came back for round 2 tonight-- and happened to be wearing a white Moxie hat tonight...still didn't identify himself. Both well after 8pm closer to 9. What in the world!? That's a Friday and Saturday evening mind you. If I didn't know any better I'd say they're casing houses to break and enter. I called PD last night because the sitter didn't catch he was with pest control --- and it's an odd hour for some sketch guy to be hanging around the house. He literally loitered in our yard for a good while. I see this isn't an uncommon hour for them to be by peoples houses. This is completely unacceptable. Unacceptable and disrespectful. The services were performed and everything creeping or flying wound up curled on the back and front porches. No complaint there. However, I canceled my account 11/29/23 because I wanted to. My 88 year old Mom call Moxie due to mice in the house. The exterminator showed up and indiscriminately sprayed the perimeter of the house for bugs and began spraying the baseboards in the house before they were stopped. A rodent problem and you recklessly spray for bugs... at an 88 year olds place of residence? WTF? You f-ing morons. You need to lose your license. read more

After cancelling the service and 3 phone calls to do so, I finally received a credit for the cancellation fee after I had never intended to sign up for more than one treatment. One month later, however, there is another $170 fee charged to my credit card for no reason. This is ridiculous, unacceptable, and unethical. I now have to call back again on Monday and have disputed the charge with the credit card company. So much wasted time!! Horrible company!! read more
