Went for my birthday! This was so much fun, busy but not insanely long so a good way to end the night. The actors were awesome, there were a lot of them in the parking lot, and the houses were pretty scary for 2 adults that aren't very jumpy. I was injured at their haunted house on Oct 30th and they said they would pay for the medical costs associated with the emergency room visit and stitches I needed due to their negligence. Amazing haunted house! Keeping good scary haunted houses alive. Multiple attractions, low key and fun.

Based on true events, Moxley Manor is a local haunted house attraction located in the mid cities area. I been wanting to come here for years and the reason I discover it was because my cats groomer is right in that same shopping outlet. Cats Unlimited, shout out haha. There is plenty of free parking but be aware you may have to park further away from the main entrance because they get soo busy. They have '3 ' haunted attractions on site. The main one is where the biggest line is and is the primary Moxley Manor. Honestly, this was my favorite out of all of them, very nice decorations and animatronics. They had a decent amount of actors dressed up and their make up and costume were on point. If you want to get scared I suggest being the first in line in your group. I was toward the back and all the scares were already gone. I always wear earplugs when going into a haunted house because a lot of the actors will jump and scream right in your ear. The noise level was not that bad but still gotta take care of my hearing. Overall it took less than 10 min to go through the whole house. Very disappointed because i waited in line over 45 min just to be rushed. I am glad I didnt spend the money on a fast past. A few doors down in that shopping center they have the 'insane asylum' and the 'clown house'. You stand in line and you enter the asylum and from there it turns into the 3D clown house. Same as with the other one, I waited close to an hour in this line just to be done going through the whole house in less than 10 minutes. The asylum was better decorated compared to the clown but both lacked actors dressed up. The clown one is a hit or miss because of clowns, for this one I was in the front of the group but then got scared and went to the back of the group lol. At one point I got really comfortable that i was not scared and started opening the props in one of the rooms in the haunted house haha (sorry actors). Buying tickets in person is cheaper because buying tickets online charges you a service fee. If buying online you get sent a QR code that you show the people at the door so you can get your wrist band. They had a BBQ food truck selling food and funnel cake. Another truck had ice cream and drinks. On one side of the lot they had a person dressed like the grim ripper for a photo opp, there's also another photo opp behind the trailer where you purchase tickets. Get here early to avoid an hour wait or get here 30 minutes before close so you dont have to wait as long. I would go again but not anytime soon, I would suggest spending more money at another haunted attraction where you get longer time inside the attraction. read more

Never been to Moxley Manor, so we went last night to keep with the Halloween spirit. Of course expected a long line, so fast pass was worth it to avoid an hour and a half wait in line. It was fine, got 3 or 4 jump scares out of it. I would go if you've never been, just to satisfy your curiousity and see what the hype is all about. I could see how a few more actors would have vastly improved the scares. Animitronics are showing there age. The smaller houses were a big meh. 3D effects was cool for the first minute, but then that's all that's relied on with just a few actors to help with any scares. I see low value in ever going again, because after all the years of existence, it's still just okay. I won't ever have to go again. If I had to choose between Moxley Manor and Dark Hour, definitely Dark Hour, because you see more of the production value. Actors are key, a few more would have vastly improved the fun. Moxley Manor is definitely a one and done. read more

I'm glad we have a haunted house in the mid-cities area! Don't be discouraged by the shopping strip, they have done a great job building this up into a quality haunt over the years. They have 3 haunts; 2 feed directly into each other. Regans revenge & the 3D are the ones that feed directly into each other and the 3D is our families personal favorites. It's worth coming to see how awesome they did with the 3D art on the walls and the animatronics in that section. The third haunt is the Moxley manor haunt and the biggest of the 3, with a number of cool sets in it. Like I've said in other reviews, try to go early in the season to avoid long lines to go in. We goofed up with that last year, but this year we got in a lot quicker going their opening weekend. A lot of folks appreciate that we don't have to drive the 45-hour towards Dallas and beyond to head to some of the other haunts to be able to go to at least one haunt in the area anymore! read more

Not scary at all, no jump scares saw the actors coming zero anticipation, not enough actors relied heavily on props. This was the case for all 3, the last one had two actors and Was very hot inside and the ending with the chain saws had me chocking on gas fumes. Don't waste your money here. read more

I've been coming to this haunt since 2016 and every year it gets better and better! I love all the improvements that are made every year and really love the parts added in Regan's revenge! (Definitely my favorite) the actors are always really great and love all the makeup and detail of the sets Exited to see what's in store this year! Also I hate seeing bad reviews talking about long waits. I've been to almost every haunt in the DFW and if you go on peak nights they always have long wait times. That shouldn't be a reason. I wanted to go ahead and update my review as I relized after the owners response that it had been awhile sense I had reviewed and wanted my review to based on my last visit last season. I was right in my previous review that they would improve over the years and they have! They have the best 3-D haunt in the area, hands down! The art work is so well done. As well the main haunt has grown and improved over the years. They do on occasion do off season holiday haunts that we've enjoyed. I was excited when I dove by to see they are expanding even more this year, as they have obtained another part of the shopping center! I look forward to checking out the expansion and am glad to have a great haunt near home vs a 30 to an hour drive to other area haunts. Came here last night with a party of 4 and my son in particular wouldn't have gone into a haunted house previously but I never stopped asking if he wanted to come as this is pretty much a birthday tradition I do every year. I'll just say Moxley Manor understood the assignment and definitely came through with all the scares. Even though the line was a lot longer than previous years we still had a great time. I took my 3 teen boys, and we had a blast! We got there right when it opened, and only waited about 30 minutes in line. They had a couple creeps walking the line to keep folks entertained, so that made the wait seem even shorter. The first house was about 15 minutes long, and was pretty scary. All the jump scares you'd expect, plus plenty of creepy environments. The second was the 3D house, and lasted maybe 5-10 minutes. Not as scary, but very cool in its own right. This haunted house would have been way more fun if my friend group went earlier. We got there at 8:30 PM and it was so crowded that we didn't go in until 12 AM. Moxley Manor was probably a good ten minutes to go through all together. We got in a mixed group so it was fun to see others react to the scares. We were so tired from waiting that we didn't even try the other attractions. I mostly felt bad for the actors and staff. It seems like it was really short staffed and they had to be open way beyond closing hours. read more

Great for the price. I paid for myself and a friend to go for a little more than one ticket would cost at other haunts around the same area. I got scared via jump scares a few times, even an animatronic got me which I did not think could happen. The first maze is for sure the best with the other two just being nice a nice bonus, plus the pitch black maze portion of I think the last one was pretty terrifying. Save your money! Your local joe-blow or project graduation haunt will be better. $50 for VIP which was worth it because the line was ridiculous. There was MAYBE 8 actors between all 3 haunted houses. It was mostly lame props in well-lit area's. Not to mention they were sending groups through extremely fast so no time for anyone to reset. Seriously was the worst haunted house we have ever been to. We thought by looking at the website this would be in a house setting. We pulled up and this was in a sketchy looking shopping center. We paid the 40.00 for a fast pass. The main haunted house took maybe 10 minutes at max. There was 4 actors in the entire house. The group we were with got all the scares and since we were in back there was nothing. As far as the 3D haunted house goes we were not able to enjoy that much since they had ran out of glasses at 8 pm. The only glasses we saw were crumbled up on the floor. The final part of the haunt was not rememberable either. As were leaving we were talking about how disappointed we would have been if we waited in the long line. I would suggest going down the road to a bigger haunted house and spending a little bit more money. read more

First, their website is a little misleading. It says (and I thought) featured in 'The Houses October Built'. I got my husband super excited about it cause I thought it would be in a mansion-ish place. Nope! It's in a parking lot. Booooooooo. It was in a shopping center store-like thing. That being said, it was not bad! The actors' make-up was amazing. The people that were in the group with us got super scared so it made it that much better. They got me a few times which I appreciate. And (**spoiler**) there was only 1 chainsaw so that made me happy. I don't like those. We may go back, we may not. Waste of money...we waited in line for an hour only to get in and walk through the first part in 10 minutes. That was fine except if you wanted to go into the second half of the walkthrough, you had to go back outside and wait again for another hour or longer. We turned around and went home. 3 haunted houses all in one! So awesome! Everyone had to wear a mask, you could wait in your car until it was your time that was in your ticket, actors wore mask/face shields as well. Visited this haunted attraction for the first time with two others. Our first time. The wait on Thursday was about 45-50 min for general admission. We enjoyed all three attractions even though it was just after 10. This is their 13th year. The wait was due to them assuring there was space between groups. We enjoyed the attraction. Several of the actors were great and everyone was effective. Only constructive recommendations are that we usually could identify where the areas that the scare actors would be coming out. I observed smiles in everyone's face as they were exiting. Would recommend a visit. read more

I give it a 3 bc the first part was scary but the 3D part wasn't so.. also bc we stood in line for 2 hours and 15 mins just to go through the haunted house in 10ish minutes. I don't go to haunted houses at all but I went bc a group of friends were into it. At the end, I wish the experience was a lot longer than it was. We paid $25 each & I am glad we didn't spend $40 each to go in the fast line bc the time wouldn't have been worth it. I seen a lot of not-so-good reviews but I thought ppl may have just been a bit too critical.. but they were right with their opinions.. Great time! Plenty of creative scares. There's a waist high "fog" and laser lights that had me screaming. It was like a shark popping out of the water right in front of you. I actually pee'd in my pants I was so scared. And I'm not easy to scare since I've worked as an actor in a haunted house as well as produced a haunted hayrides attraction. This was a lot of fun. Ignore the other grumpy reviews. Yes it is shorter than Hangman's but also not as expensive. Worth the money for sure. Plenty of actors to scare you. All of them into their job. All 3 houses were mediocre. Lots of props but no scares. Lots of dead space too. Weekend before Halloween y'all should've been intense. Too much dead space, too many props, not enough live actors. Drove from Mesquite to Bedford just to see what all the excitement was about. Nope never again! It's so expensive for such a short haunted house! I don't even think it was 30 mins long. The drive was longer lol So not worth it and I will not be going back. read more

Went with a group of friends on a cold, rainy Tuesday night - probably a good time to go for us since less of a crowd to wait on compared to weekends. There is a single queue to wait in and it's along a covered sidewalk along the shops in the shopping complex. Once you get to the front of the line, you get your tickets scanned and go inside in groups of max 5-6 people. Each haunted house is indoors, so the only time outdoors in the cold was waiting to get in, but even that wasn't too bad. You go through the first haunted house, then get 3D glasses to go into the 2nd haunted house, then come out and are guided toward the third haunted house. The bad reviews perplex me because though it may not be the biggest or scariest haunted house people have been to, I appreciate the work put in by the designers, artists, and actors and ended up having a good time with the folks I went with. Parking was easy and free; just find a spot in the shopping center complex. read more

My mom bought $120 worth of tickets just for us to get there and it not be socially distanced at all. We bought tickets for 9:30 and we would have been waiting in line for at least 1 1/2 hours. The security guards and the ticket booth people weren't even wearing masks. They weren't enforcing any type of safety or distancing. Everyone is crammed up on each other. They don't give refunds either. Highly do not recommend. read more

Although the line was relatively quick which I appreciated, they grouped our four with another three people which was way too many. We were behind them and never got any of the jump scares. It was a small building and a little cramped but there were several scary sets. Disturbingly though, there were several depictions of small children and even babies being tortured by demons, evil clowns, krampus, etc. This was a little much for my taste.
