The Moxy did not disappoint! This visit was everything and more!! From the time we arrived to check out everything was spectacular! The hotel offers a fun, inviting, intimate yet fun atmosphere! The rooms are minimalist yet posh! We reserved a windowless room and it was perfect! No noise issues here! Slept like a baby! The rooftop bar is another layer of added bliss! The only thing that would've made tge stay perfect was for the air in room and fridge to have been turned on prior to our arrival.

I travel a LOT for work, almost weekly- meaning I'm super harsh on hotels because I know what to look for when it comes to obvious red flags. I'm super picky about cleanliness because when you're away from home as much as me, you want it to feel as clean as your own place. This is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Every inch of my room was spotless. The bar downstairs was slammed while throwing a watch party and the bartender impressively kept up and didn't skip a beat. He was incredibly respectful and kept his cool despite it being super busy. Location is PRIME for anything downtown, and I had a great view of the capitol. The reviews that mention room size being an issue should research the brand, most Moxy hotels are efficiency sized rooms and the main draw is modern design. The lobby area is somewhere you *want* to be. Parking was easy to find nearby in a cheap garage, but valet it also offered. Rooms were super affordable. Will be making this my go-to hotel on my Columbia work trips!

Super cool space and the BEST location. But the tiniest rooms you can imagine. I would totally stay here alone but it was very tight for two people. Service is great, beds are comfy. Just very tight spaces with very little storage. Downstairs bar is lovely. Rooftop bar is nice but super crowded and loud. Would like to check it out probably earlier in the evening b the views are STUNNING.

The large space for guests to play games.

Paid for valet parking but I waited 30 minutes in above 90 degree temp. Eventually I found a parking spot and parked my vehicle myself. 2. Note*** I called the front desk and corporate. Both told me that valet parking is an independently contractor and that they couldn't help me. 2. 6/12/2026 coffee pot in room wasn't working and there was no hot water. 3. When I personally informed Management (face to face) that I would be checking out around 5:15-5:30 am, I was nicely told that my vehicle would be brought to the front of the building. Additionally, I called downstairs around 7-8 pm to remind the front desk that I needed the vehicle brought to the front of the building for the early checkout and was assured that this would be done. However, upon checking out, I once again had to retrieve my vehicle myself from where I previously parked.

The tv is so slow it took 20 minutes just for it to connect to the one tv streaming service it lets you use that you already pay for (Netflix). There's no cheaper parking around so you're spending $20/day there which is fine but wifi in 2026 not being included with your room stay is a cash grab. Oh and their elevator is broken because someone pushed a button too hard and now it's stuck. Hope whoever visits has good phone service otherwise you're sol and will have to pay for wifi per day because the hotel is too cheap to even offer that. Should've just stayed at a motel at least there you get what you pay for.

First off - the front doors are not open due to construction so entrance is through the Ruth Chris steak house. Reception is located in the hallway on makeshift plastic desks. I requested headphones and person at the desk was trying to avoid getting up and handing me a pair so I asked three times before I got it. Room is clean but worn out. AC is old and tired and getting temperature right is an art form. Water pressure in the shower is great - but keeping water hot is hard. It was either too hot or too cold. There is no complementary bottled water or even one to buy in the room. No clocks or alarms, and certainly no microwave. I ventured in the morning to the front desk to buy coffee and they had none. They directed me to the Ruth Chris steak house for breakfast at $18 a person which comes with coffee. No individual coffee available. Of course I had to wait for restaurant to open. Pool is not operational. Elevators are slow. I was charged twice for valet and had to argue to get it taken off. Let's face it - this is not a hotel. It is a Ruth Chris steak house with attached rooms. Shame on you Hilton!!! I am going back to Marriott!

My bathtub looked like it was covered in a layer of rust and the bottom of the tub was brown and worn. The carpet didn't seem very clean and the surfaces could have used a good wipe-down. The parking was $18, but I noticed it was only $10 for a special event. How would they have known if I was a hotel guest or a special event attendee since it was all in the same garage? Rip off. Although it wasn't terrible, I probably wouldn't recommend it. Go to the Hampton or another less expensive option downtown.

This hotel feels very new despite some reviews being from a year ago. Everything from the lobby to the guest rooms were spotless and well maintained to us. Check in was easy, the staff were friendly throughout our stay, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. Our room was surprisingly spacious and included two queen beds plus a fold-out sofa/futon, giving us plenty of room to spread out after a long day of exploring nearby Congaree. The beds were comfortable, but the real MVP of the room was the shower. The water pressure was absolutely marvelous - a small thing that frequent travelers understand can make a huge difference. Parking did come with a modest $5 fee, which wasn't ideal, but it certainly wasn't enough to detract from the experience. Breakfast the following morning was solid with plenty of options to fuel up before hitting the road. Clean rooms, friendly service, comfortable accommodations, strong shower pressure, and a good breakfast. For a quick overnight stay, I really have no complaints. I'd happily stay here again.

I genuinely have very kind sentiments to the entire team. They are so kind, caring and nice. One of the front desk team members had a pup that went through the same illness as our sweet pup. Our pup adored her and would look for her every time she was at the hotel. Says a lot when a pup goes out of their way to say hi to someone. The woman at the front desk would also ask how our pup was doing when I was staying there and the pup was in the hospital. She was a kind and friendly face every time. While they are other hotels closer to CVETS this is my preferred hotel not just because it is pet friendly but because I found the rooms and space to be clean. The woman who puts out and tidies up the breakfast is very kind a lot of folks just seem to walk by her but I always stopped to say hi and ask how she was doing. She is such a friendly smile and does a brilliant job. When I was there you would never know how many folks had come and gone from eating. She was on top of it and kept everything tidied. Come to think of it I do not recollect a time where anything was out of stock or needed to be replenished. She was there tending to it before any of the items emptied. They had gluten free items available off the top of my head some of Udi's muffins comes to mind. I am not sure what else. Rooms were always clean and tidy. Never did I come across anything less than ideal or not fresh in the room. LOVE their beds similar to mine at home and very comfortable to sleep on. I really liked that the side doors all needed key card access. They also all closed and secured. I was very happy and felt safe because of this feature. If you forget your card, you can always walk around and go through the front. But I liked that the sides were secured and you genuinely had to use your keycard to access. Used my mobile key most of the time and worked perfectly every time. All the air conditioners worked great! Even staying in the hottest part of summer was always perfectly comfortable I liked the layout. Found the rooms quite quiet. It was easy to have DoorDash delivered. I just had then drop it off at my room. However, you can have it left with the front desk as I saw that happen a few times in passing. They do charge for parking but that was made clear to me from the time of booking. Parking lot is clean and nicely lit. Which I appreciated especially when taking a pup out for the last tinkle of the night. There is a pet waste disposal bin and pet waste bags too if you are out of then on your leash. There is a little store in the front. My bills were all accurate and points credited in a timely manner to my Marriott Bonvoy account. (Which I have come to appreciate as that is not the same for every Marriott property.) TL;DR Loved the staff, nice hearty breakfast and clean. Would stay there again, recommended to CVETS for other out of town patients and would to anyone else in the area. Liked their beds and bedding!
