Jeremie Jones was awesome from our first encounter with him to the last. We have a storm door where the lock got stuck and we could not get in or out of our house. Jeremie responded and found that our mortise lock had given out and that it could be replaced without having to replace the whole door, which we were fully expecting to have to happen. He "band-aided" the lock so that we could again have full use of the door during the time it took to receive the part, and, as soon as that happened, Jeremie arranged a time to install it. Three kitchen bay window panes were replaced. The installer's name was Christopher. He as a very well mannered and knew what he was doing. He removed cedar trimming, and blinds and screens from window area before he was able to install the new glass. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. I bought 3 pieces of etched glass and noticed the etching was coming off after installation. Tony had someone come up to my house to look at the damage and help me solve the problem. This is a small job for them but it means a lot to me that they would come out. Tony found me a sandwiched laminate that will have this same look but is going to be more durable. Be cautious when buying lightly etched glass. I'm very pleased with Tony's customer service and would recommend this business to my friends! I will add new photos once the new glass is installed. Was referred to Moyes to get some screens for our Anderson doors. We had Jeremy come out within 3 weeks of first call to give a quote. His written quote was illegible. I called for explanation and was told I would get a call back, which never happened. I called 2 weeks later and someone was able to explain the quote. I decided to move forward with ordering the phantom sliding doors and screen doors and was told I would get a call from Jeremy to confirm, which never happened. I called 3 more times over the next 3 months and was always promised someone would call me back, and it never happened. I am now 4 months and $150 into this and I am going to give up. I am so mad I wasted $150 on Jeremy coming out to give me a quote for absolutely nothing. read more

Broke my shower door July 1st. A tech came out that week and quoted me a price. Took half my payment by the 5th. Was told 2 to 3 weeks for the door. Must have forgot to place my order and door was not ordered until 22 July per the invoice. When I checked the status could not find my invoice on the 1st call. 2nd call was told 3 more weeks, no explanation??? Was trying to sell my house, had to show with broken shower door, potentially costing me a significant amount. Sold the house mid August without the shower door. Seems unprofessional, would not have flied at my work. read more

My windows were installed several years ago by an independent contractor and I wasn't aware that he got the windows from Moyes. The windows had never worked right due to the installation contractor leaving them out in the weather thru the winter before he installed them next summer. They squealed and screeched and parts fell off and broke. I called Moyes to set up a repair appointment and Jeremie came to inspect the windows , I told him I didn't know where they came from but they needed repair... he looked at them and realized that they were windows from their shop and that there was lots of work to be done and lots of parts needed to be ordered. They ordered the parts and Jeremie came and spent hours repairing and replacing parts. They now work beautifully for the first time in years!! I'm not sure how to rate my experience replacing two windows with Moyes. The windows were measured incorrectly and came too large and we had to use a loaner window for 3 weeks. The loaner was just filthy and I thought that was very unprofessional. But my windows finally came in. I watched them install them and they were obviously more worried about doing it quickly than doing a quality job. They just shoved the window into the hole and it went in at an odd angle. I should have said something then, but convinced myself they must know what they are doing. Well the window wasn't squared up and wouldn't close properly. Cody came out a couple of times and was able to adjust it so it would close, but it will never be square. Then there was gaps and messy caulking work. I requested that be fixed. Thankfully I hadn't paid the full amount yet! They had Raul come out to fix the mess. He turned out to be the smartest one in the bunch! He told me what a terrible job it was and pointed out all the gaps that would have left me with a great deal of water damage. He couldn't believe what he was dealing with. It took him longer to fix it all than it did for the initial install! If you must get windows from Moyes, make sure you have Raul do the install! I only hope he was able to fix everything that was messed up so we don't have problems in the future.. read more

We had a great experience with this company. We had only 1 window that needed to be deglazed due to flooding our window well. I called on referral from our insurance. They came out quickly for the estimate and then came back within 10 days to complete the job. Everyone was friendly and helpful to work with. It has been a few weeks and we are still waiting for our receipt so we can be reimbursed by our insurance. Other than that, everything was great. read more

I called Moyes for a quote on 6 windows. They came out and gave me a free bid with a few options. They called me as soon as the windows came and scheduled delivery and install the next day. Jose and Jose showed up right on time, helped us get a window shutter off and were very polite. VERY poor service! Would not recommend even as a last resort. Purchased windows as per their suggestion on size, but after windows didn't fit we were told that we would need to purchase new ones. They would not warranty, replace or refund cost. When attempting to discuss issues with them, the "owner" yelled and degraded us over the phone. Worst company by far!! Poor customer service!! We bought a home in 2017 and the previous owner had the flash repaired on a window when we had the home inspection, he paid over 2000 and the following year I had problems with the window leaking called Moyes and a salesman (Brian) came out and tried to quote me for the same job and said the flash was bad!! I said no the other owner did that while we was closing on the home and he than said I had to pay 100 to re seal the window now I'm having the same problem and he is now saying the window was never the problem! Ha go figure they hussled the previous owner, tried to huddle me (not aware I had knowledge of the previous repairs) now don't want to guarantee the work and stating it's was never the flash that was bad, but I remember clearly the previous owner giving me the paper work stating that the flash needed repair and them telling me the same thing last year!! Ordered a piece of glass for my tabletop on a Saturday, was told it would be done the following Wednesday, or possibly Thursday at the latest. I called Thursday, they had lost my order; eventually found it, but the glass hadn't been cut yet. I called Friday, same thing. I called twice on Saturday (nobody answered the first time), the guy had "just finished cutting it 10 minutes ago, I was about to call you." The edges are barely sanded at all, just enough to not qualify as "sharp" - nowhere near the rounded edge I was told I'd be getting. I'm not annoyed that it took a week to get a single, simple piece of glass. I'm annoyed that they promised something and didn't deliver. Definitely won't shop here again. read more

We bought an older 1950's home 4-5 years ago which we decided to put all new windows in and went to Moyes Glass in Ogden. While they were very helpful with the purchase and install, the very expensive double-wide sliding glass door we purchased has what I see as defective/cheap screen door wheels as they are already worn out and scraping in the bottom track. I am a bit of a handyman and could not extract the 2 sliding screens even after following Moye's instructions and looking up helps on YouTube. Finally, a construction friend of mine, ( who works with all types of screen doors in his work), looked at it and noted that something must be different/wrong with the door/screens as he couldn't extract them either. After another call to Moye's they said we could pay for a service person to come out and look at it which I did not want to have to pay for or expect to have to pay for. Also, much of the brown exterior finish on the doors exterior is starting to fade and go a light pink color. A call to the window manufacturer, Milgard, was more successful as at least they have scheduled a service person to look at the issue, albeit over a month from now. Not the best service through Moyes, and now I am wondering about the thousands and thousands I spent on these new Milgard windows. I hope Milgard stands behind their products as Moye's Glass has not been behind me on this expensive purchase. Concerned in Ogden, Utah read more

Horrible customer service. This is the second time I have gone in there asking a question on a custom order. This is the second person behind the counter acted like I was putting them out or bothering them. I asked about a patio door with a pet door already installed. The guy was shaking his head as I talked acting like he knew exactly what I wanted. When I asked how much it would cost, without looking up anything or getting measurements he said $2500. $2500 for a door with a $40 pet door already installed?? What the hell? Terrible customer service. Worst company I've dealt with in ANY category. We had "guaranteed" windows installed. After some years, some of the mechanisms failed, and some trim was missing (never installed) on a door they also supplied. Called them and they required $100 just to come out and see the problem. We agreed to that fee. They never came. After many more ignored calls by my wife, I went down personally and they said they would come out and take care of it. As before, they never showed up. Extremely unprofessional company! The windows in the condo where I live were being replaced on Tuesday. They left as I was getting home at 5. They left the job unfinished. Using the excuse that it was harder than they expected. They left the windows unsealed which allowed the 30 degree temperatures pour into the house all night long causing a slight breeze in the house. Glass, dust and dirt were left on the floors and even on one of the beds in the bedroom. They returned Wednesday and finished the windows however the house was left a mess. The furniture that was moved was not put back. The glass shards, dust and dirt on all the surfaces was not cleaned up. Essentially a huge mess was made and was not clean up. I cannot recommend this company to anyone unless you want to move furniture around and deep clean your entire home after they leave. Not acceptable! If I could give negative stars I would. read more

So far we've had the worst customer service! We paid half of our balance up front to have five small basement windows, a large bay window, and a new front and back door installed, we are left with doors that don't shut without significant force, security door that don't latch without being forced into place, and broken glass in our yard, our living room and in my kid's rooms. My one year old even found a large screw and brought it to me IN HIS MOUTH! Both my daughter and I have been cut by pieces of glass that were left on the floor. There were also cut up pieces of aluminum and plastic left from trimming. After sending out 3 different installers to finish the work, we are left annoyed and wounded. I called to speak to someone at Moyes and was told our salesman, Brian, would call me back. He called my husband instead, who was at work and asked that he please call me and even gave him my cell, but I've heard nothing! I am not too happy with the work or the service and it really doesn't seem like they want the rest of their money since the work isn't complete - as one window they installed was wrong. Update: Finally got a call back and an apology for the mess that was left. I feel better now. Our door are supposed to harder to close because of the tighter fit, which I now understand. I wish the job could have been done perfectly and in one day, but at the end of it we have new windows that look great and will keep us warm this winter. Absolutely terrible customer service. Took over three months for them to replace one window. two months of that was just trying to get a quote. I would call and they said they were going to go check out the window that day and they never called me back. that happened three times and by the fourth time they finally got up there and told me how much it would cost. they said they were going to replace it that week and never did. again I never got a call back. after another month of calling every week they finally got the job done. Horrible customer service. It took 5 visits to the location to get the work done and done correctly. They had to come back three times once to evaluate my complaints, second to replace the scratched glass and then the final visit to fix the latches. They made no arrangements to do this and stuck a ladder up on my deck and came onto my property. They trespassed on my property and just told me that was part of their business. A complaint will be filled with the better business bureau. I'm sure it means no warrantee work from them, but people need to know what they are getting into. The product once done was fine, but could have gotten an equivalent glass at Home Depot for less. That's what I get for trying to support a local business. read more

I had the old aluminum windows in my home replaced by Moyes Glass a few years ago. Just recently, I started noticing the bigger dining room and front room windows having problems opening and closing. I decided to get bids, and even got a bid from Moyes Glass. I chose Moyes Glass to fix the problems, since they originally installed the windows, and because they said they would only charge for materials. I was an idiot for choosing them too and I remembered that Moyes Glass installed one big window, and broke not only the window sill tile, but damaged the wall as well. I thought they would be responsible for replacing the tile and fixing the wall, but not according to them. I had to pay extra to have the tile replaced and I ended up having to fix my own wall. They did do a good job shimming the two big windows so they would open and close better and fixed the latches so they could be locked. But, even then, they used the same latch for both the left and right sides, which put one latch on each window up-side down. The caulk job was a total nightmare. I found out that the caulk they used in the original installation, was some nasty concoction that they formulated, that they later admitted was not good, because it dried up and cracked and didn't remain pliable, changing color from white to a nasty yellow. The caulk job was so bad, that when it rained, water ran behind the windows and down the inside of the walls, to the extent that it even ran down my concrete walls in the basement. The others who bid, even commented on how bad the caulk job was. I really thought, especially after admitting that their caulk job was bad, that Moyes Glass would at least redo the caulking. All they did however, was run a little caulk on the inside here and there over the old caulk. Moyes Glass didn't even caulk the outside at all. When I asked about it, their response was: "Oh, that's going to cost you more!" And, what they quoted was more than all the other bids! Are you kidding me? I didn't name names, but every bidder, and I got about six bids, said that whoever installed these windows, "sure did a sh#%y job!" They said that most of the windows were not measured correctly, and noticed that Moyes Glass had made some kind of weird outer trim to make the two bigger windows fit. Also, some of the smaller windows for the basement were installed at different depths to compensate for the poor measurements. I had wondered why the smaller windows were not installed the same as the original windows. One bidder did ask straight out: "Did Moyes Glass do this install?" I said yup. He responded: "Explains a lot." read more
