After a delicious homemade dinner that had us craving something sweet, and at a time we'd need something open late, we decided to venture to Venture Drive for dessert at Cafe Mozart. I'll admit I was leery up front. Korean & Chinese iterations of Western desserts tend to be bland and under-sugared--an incomprehensible fact considering how syrupy their own treats can be. They also often use unsalted butter as frosting. We ordered coffee. It was weak. We ordered a sweet potato cake, raspberry butter cake, a passion fruit chocolate mousse, and a moonpie. -Moonpie - so dry we had to dunk it in the coffee to make it edible -Passion chocolate mousse - delicious tangy passion fruit, but a dry base cake. The only thing I'd order again. -Raspberry butter cake - the inside was good, but it was frosted with unsalted, unsweetened butter, flavorless and fatty. -Sweet potato cake - tasted like nothing. No flavor. No sugar. Certainly no sweet potato. Bad coffee, mostly bad desserts, and they didn't even play any Mozart! read more

I ordered an ice matcha latte (some matcha milky sweet drink)...and wow, did they accidentally dumped half a lb of sugar into a cup and pour my drink into that same cup? It tasted like nothing but just sweet. Mozart only had note note that afternoon. read more

Second time around, and got same impression as first, ehh. First time was to try out some of the desserts, they were ok, Second was for a meeting. Coffee was good, my buddy said his tea was good (tazo passion fruit). I will have to go a third time to try some desserts. Update to follow. read more

this location sucks compared to the buford hwy location. they don't have all the drinks available, and the service sucks. Their way of drawing in business is to have pretty girls working at this location, but they really need to concentrate on the quality of drinks being made. read more

It really sucks that there isnt complimentary wifi here like the other bakeries and cafes in Duluth. If so, they would receive 4 stars. :( I love how it is spacious and they have a plethora of baked goods to choose from. They also have macarons. Ive had real macarons in Paris before so these are just a substitute. Theyre not bad here at Mozart's but you can find better in Buckhead. I love the treats here. Asian dessert have little to no sugar in them. That makes it a perfect treat if you're watching your sugar! I usually get the fruit tart. I can tell that the fruit is fresh & has nothing extra added to it. Fresh tasted way better than from the can! Check them out! read more

I love Mozart's bubble teas and this particular location is just great for spacing out and taking care of business on your laptop or smart phone. They have really great bubble tea and I always order the white chocolate latte or caramel mocha flavored ones. They taste like frappuccinos with tapioca balls. The service here is always pleasant and their baked goods are consistently fresh. I'm always happy with my visits here and will continue to return to meet up with friends or grab a few pastries on the go. The only thing that is frustrating for this location is the parking lot. There are rarely enough spots and I always end up parking in the BP parking lot next door. read more

I think employees could be nicer... It seems that there are new faces all the time here. This placed is not managed well it seems. There were more people used to come to this place but not any more as customers are not treated well here.... try other place for coffee. Though cheap is labeled as under $10, I don't call that cheap. Their mango mousse slice is about $3 or $4 a piece and it's very small, the full cake is sold for $30 and that's also very small. A lot of people said it's very tasteful but I think it's alright. Their mango and green tea shakes are just okay too. I wouldn't say their desserts are good but I like the atmosphere. read more

The bathrooms here are seriously shabby. Dirty, run down, out of paper towels and soap, water everywhere, broken door locks, etc. This is a problem I've seen throughout the Korean places in Duluth and I don't really understand it because otherwise a lot of effort seems put into appearances. I think this location has really taken a turn for the worse in recent years. The baked goods when you can find them are still pretty good, but perhaps due to the economy, they don't seem to keep their shelves stocked. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by barren baskets and display cases that used to be chocked full of tasty pastries and goodies. The coffee is definitely below average, but I've found that it's brewed a little weaker to suit the taste of their clientele. The interior hasn't really been upgraded since the location opened years ago, and compared to new competitors springing up in the neighborhood, I'm honestly a little surprised that this place remains open for business. Some good points for this place are definitely its proximity to I-85 which makes it a very convenient meeting place. Also, the staff are friendly and service is usually with a smile which is definitely more than I can say for competitors. Hopefully, things will take a turn for the better and Mozart can put a little money into upgrading its interior and increasing the selection in the bakery. read more

Do not order their milk teas. they are pre-making them with a lot of sugar. I ordered black milk tea it was nasty my stomach was hurting real bad l. I called the manager she was real nasty and rude. she said that I had ordered that I had ordered no sugar! she also said that drink was popular. This place is awesome. Love the drinks and breads. This specific location, however, is a tad smaller than the other one by Super H Mart. Reason for the 4/5 stars is because of the selection. I don't mind the size but at least offer the same variety as the other store. Other than that, truly love their hazelnut ice coffee. Great place to study since it is still small. Macaroons are amazing. Instead of building a box, just pick the ones you want and then they will place it in a bigger contain. The rectangle gift box is a little bit more but I think the one that they place your order in is just as good. You get more bang for your buck. I paid $12 for all 8 flavors versus paying $12 for 6 (I believe that is how many the gift one holds). read more

I swung by here while visiting family for a few days. I purchased a twist with cinnamon and a doughnut with red beans inside. We also purchased a green tea cake. There were a number of things to choose from. The twist was good and had a certain flavor I couldn't pin point but I liked. The prices were a little high on some things and he staff was very friendly and helpful. They packaged everything nicely and there was a good amount of seating. The ambiance is nice, and it feels like a good place for a pastry and a book when slow. read more

This is the place to go when you want somewhere comfy to sit and are willing to accept the fact that whatever you order, you will NOT get what you expect. My friend I and ordered three things: mango smoothie, cafe mocha, and a fruit Italian soda. The mango smoothie was approximately the color of pale, artificial banana flavoring. The cafe mocha tasted like a diluted latte all the way until the bottom, at which point all you could taste was sickly sweet syrup. The Italian soda was made with copious amounts of milk; I guess that's a version of it, but every other form of Italian soda I've had anywhere else has been lactose-free. This is not to mention that they were completely out of tapioca for bubble tea, which is pretty odd given that this is an Asian place. The baked goods were fine and the space is a nice place to meet up, but the problem is getting anything half-decent to sip on while you're there. read more

I have been to Mozart countless times throughout the past couple of years. I just never thought about writing a review for them. Before I used to buy all my birthday cakes and family's birthday cakes from here. The fruit cake is really popular to us. Because Mozart's cakes is not as sweet as american bakeries, its really popular among Asians. But I see that their cakes are getting more and more popular with other races as well. This particular store is open till late (12am) so I used to come here and study while enjoying a slice of cake. Their bubble teas however is not my cup of tea. I prefer to get hot tea or just water here and just enjoy the desserts. I recently came here to purchased green tea ice cream (really good) and their Macarons. I don't like the fact that their Macaron's size is all different but with the same price. A small Macarons is 1.49 I believe. And the fact that its not all the same size, I feel like its a ripoff. You can get a smaller Macaron and still pay 1.49 while someone else get a bigger one. I think they should fix this. Overall, this place is clean and their cakes is good but I have found other Korean bakeries with better cakes and slightly cheaper. I don't come here as often anymore. read more

I've heard good things about Mozart, and have enjoyed their cakes in the past. However, the in-store experience I had was unpleasant. I was going to sit down to do some work on my computer, so stopped into the bathroom first. It was... unclean. While the main patron area was clean, the men's bathroom was dirty with paper strewn everywhere and visibly dirty toilets and sinks. The real unpleasantness that I found was, to be fair, not necessarily Mozart's fault. I had ordered a drink. As I walked away, I had one hand holding onto the tray which was flimsy. However, as I walked, my drink slid and popped right off the side and onto the floor. Thai iced tea everywhere. Darn. Again, this wasn't their fault. When I approached the counter to ask if I could get another, the person said she saw what happened, but would not offer a replacement for free. If it was their fault, they would. Again, this is not their fault. However, in an era of customer experience, Mozart's staff just performed sub-par -- "nothing". The food was standard fare without exceptional taste (ordered a tiramisu and macaroons, too). With the rise of so many bakeries and coffee shops in the area, service accounts for a large piece to the overall customer experience. Here, they lost. Go down the street to any of the other bakeries who excel in the provisions and service. You'll have a greater experience without having to sacrifice the details that matter. read more

They offer a large selections of pasties, teas, and bread. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. I always make it a point to order a cake from Mozart for an adults birthday. The cake is not overly sweet (frosting is whip cream) just right for my taste buds but I am a big fan of Mozart for one main reason......shaved ice. I am latin and in the hot summer months in GA I crave shaved ice. I'm not refering to a snow cone.....I cant stand those. The ice are hard and the flavors are just as bad. Honestly I dont understand why anyone would like them. Shaved ice is fluffy and melts in your mouth. In latin america we serve it with some sort ofjuice flavoring but in some of the asian countries they tend to add different things. Every tropical country has there version and I tend to appreciate all of them. I cant really get pass the beans so I always order mine without. I also omit the mochi. I am left with a mound of shaved ice, condensed milk, fresh fruit (banana, strawberry, melon, and peaches........ they also add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream....so refreshing. Mozart's has become part of our family tradition. The last month of summer we always go tubing down in Helen and then drive back to Mozart. I used to love coming to this place to hang out and chill with my friends and sometime do my work if I'm near the place and too lazy to drive to another place. I love ordering a caramel macchiato when I come here. It's a little strong but that's what I need if I'm staying here for hrs to do my work. If you come here order the little fish cake!! So good!! They are small but really creepy when they first came out. They have red bean filling and Custer a filling. The Custer filling is amazing!!! My review is strictly for the bingsoo; really it's more of a 3 1/2 stars. The red bean bingsoo portion is pretty big and comes with a good amount of fruits and red bean, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thoroughly enjoyable on a hot humid day. I got it twice during my three day visit in Atlanta, so it's definitely worth having. Yet I felt like it still lacks some flavor, even with all of the ingredients that go into it. Great typical Asian / French bakery with gorgeous pastries, many kinds of mousse cake etc. Red bean bread very good, generous fillings - also the various cream breads are smooth and lovely filling, not too sweet. But if you want macarons, skip them - they are served cold, stale, and to me- twice now - taste old. Instead go over to MacLab for gorgeous fresh macarons with perfect flavor and texture. And a more charming environment. When it comes to macarons - Do not settle! MacLab is across the parking lot. I like Mozart's bubble teas but are pricey, prefer Rustic Couch if going south on Satellite. I think 3 stars is a fair rating. I have not had pat bing su here. read more

I have heard a lot of good things about Mozart Bakery and there are a couple of locations around the Atlanta area. While staying in Duluth this weekend I stopped at the location on Pleasant Hill Road and was not disappointed. They had a lot of prepackaged options as well as fresh cakes and breads to choose from and some warm items. There are also a lot of hot and cold drink options including coffees and teas. The location was spacious, well lit, and clean though I didn't care for the parking situation; the lot seemed a little small. The staff I dealt with were not particularly talkative but they were polite. I really liked the food and will be back when visiting Atlanta! read more
