I am biased but I love Mozart bakery. There are many Korean bakeries around in the Duluth area. But none of them have the red bean and walnut breads. I love that Mozart sells them in these bite sized form so it's easy to eat. But try these with coffee and it's a dream. The other bakery items are similar to what other bakeries sell. Since Mozart isn't as popular compared to tree story, the advantage is that every time I come here. Coroquette is an abundant here. For those that don't know what that is, it's a bread that has veggie stuffing inside. The red bean and walnut is $5.99. Which I feel like they raised the price from what I last remember. I went on a Wednesday evening and it was fairly empty. They had a good amount of cakes and things inside the cases left. I had the raspberry buttercream ($3.99) and mocha fresh cream ($4.99) cakes. The raspberry buttercream cake lacked a strong raspberry flavor and tartness. It mostly just tasted like a vanilla buttercream cake. The cake was a normal white cake which was a bit dry but it was still a decent slice of cake. I liked the mocha fresh cream much better. The cake was fluffy and moist, but maybe a tad bit sweet. The fresh cream had a good mocha flavor. There's a water dispenser by the cash register with cups so there's no need to ask at the front. read more

Been here many times for their cakes. I absolutely love their cakes! The bakery is very spacious, pastries neatly organized, and smells great inside. I have been going to this location for about 11 years. They never disappointed me. I think I have tried every flavor cake that they have. My favorites include the fresh cream cake, mocha cake, blueberry chiffon, and cheesecake. I also love their macaroons. My favorite is the tiramisu flavor. Today we got the blueberry chiffon cake for my aunts birthday and she loved it. I like that they also give a cake cutter, some candles and a birthday sign. I came in on a rainy Tuesday morning and kind of sad to not see the fresh pastries filled on the tray only the bagged items were out. So I bought the sweet cream filled pastry and by the next day the bread already began to mold. No whole loaves available. Really pricey. No savory flavors of pastry lots of sweeter breads. Place was empty. Parking was great just was disappointed in variety. Not sure if I came too early or too late. They also offer coffees and teas. No bubble teas that I saw. These teas have the actual fruit peel seeped in honey such as lemon, orange, plum, ginger etc. in the tea and can be served hot or cold. Choose your flavor and let the tea enjoyment commence! If you are a tea fan and enjoy a new tea experience than definitely try one of these tea beverages. You can also buy this tea at the Asian markets if you want to make it in your own home. You can find other treats like mochi filled red bean buns or red bean bread buns. They have cream filled pastries and a small assortment of savory pastries. As you can tell the bakery is a large setup and there are quite a few Asian and European fusion of delights to choose from. They also have excellent coffee and the establishment makes their own baked sweets. The cakes are delicious and it's hard to choose just one! They are all light and fluffy. You can also order custard or red bean filled fish pastries which are delightful and delicious. I've been here several times and treated a friend for their birthday. They obviously loved it and ended up buying more sweets than they anticipated. The establishment is open and airy and the seating is more functional but I do enjoy the large picnic table as it is a great place to sit on your own or with large groups. It isn't meant for long term comfort. The ladies restroom was clean and I didn't have any trouble with it even though it was a bit small. I don't think an establishment should be based just on their restroom alone (as another reviewer pointed out) as that is not what the bakery is there for. I get the custard filled bungeoppang (fish waffles) every time we come here. Actually, every time we come here, we add another item to the list of things we always get. As of now, our usual order is: bungeoppang, a few broken macarons, rose milk tea, and a random item (blueberry mousse this time). And I decided to go and stick to their competitor, and I don't go there anymore. Baking goods 2/5: Some stuff is good, but when I go there around 7pm, some breads are gone, and they don't bother to restock. I came across literary rotten and sour custard buns twice. I don't think they turned to sour just because it wasn't refrigerated, it's probably because it was 2-3 days old at the room temperature. I also came across with some cake with very dry graham cracker bottom and dried whipped cream. I bet it was also days old. Drinks 2/5: You are lucky if they make your drinks at your likings. If you have any complaints about your drink they made, they WILL fight you back instead of trying to be apologetic and fix the problems. One time, I had a fav tea and they ran out of the tea bags, but they never restocked them. I also have ordered some green tea, but got something I didn't expected to get. They blamed on the menu and it's descriptions. They'd ave never been apologetic, rather they are careless. Service 2/5: Its a self- service place, but your day would largely depend on who makes your drinks or who works there. Some times you come across nice ppl, sometimes you come across very argumentative who hates their job and don't want to be there. They have hits and misses. When I got rotten custard buns, I threw them away and didn't even complain to them because I know they would argue with me and never try to replace them. And do I have to keep the rotten thing just to get the replacement?? They shouldn't sell something that is not edible. Period. Summery: I stopped going there because I don't deserve to get a bad day after I spend $$ money on an expensive cup of tea and other stuff. This Mozart is located across from Iron Age off of Pleasant Hill Rd. I was craving milk tea so I convinced my fiancé to take me after we stuffed our faces at Iron Age. So we "walked off the food" and right into Mozart. Walking in the spread out yet homey seating area is located off to the left. The dessert and display cases are off to the right and wrap around to the back where the drinks are made and the ordering counter is located. Since we were so stuffed we decided to pass on their desserts. However, I have tried their desserts in the past and I must say that I've had better. The macrons, cakes, and cookies are kind of a hit or miss. I decided to get the black milk tea with no boba and my fiancé got a peach flavored Italian Soda. Their black milk tea is the bomb dot com. It has the perfect amount of cream and this subtle but prominent sweet flavor. The herbal flavor of the black tea is perfect and does not overpower the drink. As of right now it is my favorite black milk tea option from all of the milk tea places in the area. My fiancé's Italian Soda was another story. Now I'm from Spokane, Washington. Yes honey, the north north. Up there they have a ton of Italian Soda shops so my fiancé and I have been a little bit spoiled. Mozart's Italian Soda does not even compare to the Italian Soda in Spokane but it is the best Italian Soda that my fiancé have experienced in Georgia. It was a bit annoying how they did not mix the flavor so there was this obvious and weird separation of cream and syrup. We spent a few minutes mixing it which is what the baristas are supposed to do right? Overall, I was satisfied because all I wanted was some good black milk tea. The atmosphere is inviting, but the service was not so fabulous. Other than the milk tea I'm not very impressed by this place. So I will only be returning for certain items. Mozart cafe is a really large space with plenty of tables, but no comfy seats. I'm not sure what the outlet situation is, but it could be a decent place to do work. I came in at 7:30pm on a Monday night. Most of the better baked goods were gone. I ordered their aloe green tea, choco pie, and a slice of sweet potato cake. The aloe green tea would have been great, but they made it with the zen tazo tea (their mint lemongrass green tea) rather than a straight up green tea. I asked the lady who added the extra water if she could add more coffee to balance it out. She got very upset/annoyed with me and rudely grabbed the coffee out of my hand. I saw that she went to the back to fix it once again, but she came back with a house blend. At this point I just shook my head and left. I had hoped that they would simply remake the drink entirely because of how many times it was messed up. I love Mozart because the name is classical and the desserts and baked goods are also classical looking and have such chic looks that truly revolutionized of what desserts should be. People suddenly realized that hey, desserts don't have to super killer sweet like the ones from dunkin donuts and that you can indeed make your desserts salty and sweet at the same time and those cute Bakeries you see in movies do exist and can be light but still delicious. Mozart defined the new standard of lightness but still baked buttery goods. It brought the new wave of Korean bakeries and set an unprecedented standard on Asian desserts. I recommend their breads that have creams in them. Their coffee is good and you can buy a handful of their breads for cheap. Their loaves of bread are also light and not too hearty. I am a fan of their almond cookie things that are light but addicting. Their cakes are always so beautiful to look at and I recommend getting one for your birthday just for the sheer beauty. My first time here. I went to cafe mozart to get mini fish shaped waffle but it was such a disappointment. The waffle was slightly undercooked and not all the fillings are filled with custard. I also ordered Spanish latte, it was definitely way too sweet and I didn't taste the coffee that much. I gave 2 stars because the location and the place itself are nice, comfy to hangout. The staff who took my was really nice but the cashier was rude. I gave $20 bill for $10.12 order, and decided to give another $1 bill so I can get an even $10 bill with coins but she told me that she already count the changes therefore she can't give it to me. The cakes are usually their best. Their pastries are also great. The red bean paste pastries, and others goes well with their coffee. The vanilla latte its too sweet for my taste, therefore ask for half sweet when you order. My favorite cakes are the mocha cake and the strawberry short. Haven't really tried the other ones yet but definitely going to try all of the ones that looks appealing! Yeah I have a bit of a sweet tooth. The decor its ok, not too bold nor too plain. Mozart has several locations around ATL but this one is probably the biggest. Although I DID hear the one on Buford is the first one open, I still consider this one headquarters since they actually bake here and ship them out. That means yummy, warm bread all day long. Interior: Warehouse-look. Overall, a bright look. White ceiling, colorful decor and lighting. During Christmas season, they even set up a cute Christmas tree here. Bread: My first choices are always Seseme Sweet Rice Bread (Ke-Chal-Pang) or soboro. =) Yum. Cakes: They're ok... My friend worked here (at this location) and told me that cakes that are sold by piece don't sell as fast as the bread. So when you order, be sure to point to the one displayed closer to you. Otherwise, they'll just pull a piece out from the back... and these are at least 1~2 days old. Coffee: They say that they serve Seattle's Best Coffee but... I never really liked coffee here. Tea: I had boba tea here once. Yuck. Boba shouldn't feel like that in your mouth. Service: This is where they lost my one star out of 5 stars I would've given. I guess they're the daughters of the owner but depending on the day, they're either in a good mood or a bad mood. If you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day, they have pretty decent service. Stopped by today on our way out of Georgia to grab some fresh baked goods for friends and family. I walked in and was surprised at how quiet it was. There was a family and 1 other person studying at one of the tables. (We were just in a different bakery on the same street a few hours earlier...) To the right you'll find your different assortment of baked Korean pastries, however, it was a little disappointing to find a lot of the breads weren't stocked and the area with all the fried breads were mostly all empty. Luckily, they had our favorite red bean, green bean, and cream filled breads, but I also realized the prices were about $0.50-1.00 more than the bakery we had visited earlier this morning. The breads were tasty and we've been coming to Mozart for our baked Korean bread fix for years, however, the new bakery we found earlier may be our new favorite. My only complaint is how busy this place can be. They can have terribly long lines causing stress to workers and customers. Offers a lot of pastries, baked goods, korean shaved ice dessert, and drinks (coffee, espresso, smoothie, boba tea, etc). . A lot of Korean pastries in general are usually not as sweet compared to American pastries. It's a good thing, but could be bland if you're having a sweet tooth craving. Also, the dry texture on some of the pastries seem accustomed as seen with other Korean bakeries. DRINKS: I have had the iced teas here as well as coffee. The iced teas are made from the Tazo Zen brand. Coffee isn't bad. They don't carry SOY as an alternative nor 2%. I use to come here all the time, but it was to stay focused since they had no WiFi at the time, so I couldn't get distracted via Facebook. My friend and I were searching for the perfect coffee shop today on Pleasant Hill. We went to multiple different ones. All of them ended up being either closed, too full for a table, or having a private event it seemed like. So we diverted back to an old favorite to see if was still great. Well we walked in and it has been renovated since before... no booths in the middle! It looks much more spacious now. I'm actually writing my review while i'm here and this is the first time I've actually written a review where I am :P. They have "croissant doughnuts" here which were interesting. I wouldn't say they're my new favorite thing. I'm not even sure that they are a close resemblance to the croughnut since i've never had one, but I liked the filling in my blueberry croissant doughnut. I also got their House Iced Coffee which was awesome and one of my favorite coffee drinks that has been consistent with many other Asian cafes in the area. This is a good place to relax with friends. I have to start by stating that I'm not the biggest fan of Korean pastries (with the exception of Korean cakes, which I love). However, I usually go to Korean bakeries for one of the following two reasons: to take advantage of free Wi-Fi as I enjoy non-baked treats. Unfortunately, they don't offer free Wi-Fi at Cafe Mozart, so all I can do is the latter. Recently, I tried a Yogurt slushy with boba/bubbles. I normally don't get bubbles with slushy drinks because I hate it when the bubbles freeze. They get too hard and don't taste very good. * Yogurt Slushy - Although the yogurt slushy was smooth and had a nice flavor (not too sweet but not bland), the bubbles were not sweet at all. Unlike boba at places like Quickly and SweetHut, bubbles at Korean bakeries are bland and just not yummy. At the ridiculous price of almost $5 for a regular-size cup of slushy/bubble tea, it's really pricey, too. But if you're in the mood for a yogurt-flavored frozen treat that's NOT fro-yo (who knows WHY you wouldn't want fro-yo!) and willing to spend a few extra bucks, it's a good slushy drink. If you know Korean desserts, you should be familiar with beloved shaved ice treat, "patbingsoo." I haven't had this at Cafe Mozart in a while, but they make it pretty well here. * Patbingsoo - This dessert is large and meant for sharing with at least one or two others. Two of my siblings and I can usually share it and be satisfied. A bowl of shaved ice is topped with fruits such as strawberries, kiwis, and bananas along with mochi, tons of red bean, and scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it all off. It's simple yet tasty and I definitely recommend it if you haven't tried Cafe Mozart's. Overall, Cafe Mozart on Pleasant Hill gets 3.5 stars for their good non-baked desserts. I can't round it up to 4 because I think they're overpriced, they don't offer free Wi-Fi (why?!), and their employees aren't very friendly. My sister (Yoomee H.) also told me about how gross their restroom was during our last visit, which is unacceptable for any establishment that serves food. I'm sure I've tried one of their Korean cakes in the past, but I haven't tried one recently so can't say much about them. I have come here several times to meet up with people due to it proximity to the I-85 and the place is very spacious. Customer service is alway indifferent towards you unless you are a Korean-speaking Korean. Today we ordered the custard fish waffles, after literally 30 minutes we asked where our order was. One of the girls walked toward the lady in charge of baking fish waffles and she told us 5 minutes. After another 5 minutes still no order, by this time I am pretty annoyed because we have not received an apology. So I ask again where the fuck is my order ("fuck" was said in my head obviously) and another girl runs back to the baker and she comes back saying they gave it to another customer, without even verifying their ticket number. They tell me it will be another 5 minutes! At this point I just ask for my refund and head out. What boggled me was not that they messed up, I understand people mess up, its the fact that we received not even a single apology. 1 star for its location and spacious layout. Baked goods are average. Customer service is offensive. Avoid this place, NO WIFI IF YOU ARE NOT KOREAN, the baked goods are nothing to write about, there are so many other options in Duluth. I've tried a few desserts here over the years. Namely the fruit cake, black forest cake and most recently, the macarons. I believe I've tried drinks and other desserts here, but they were not too memorable. I'm not sure how long they have been selling macarons, but I recently visited the bakery and there they were. Even better, they were $1.49 each! Still more than I expect to pay for a single cookie, but cheaper than other places. And yes, they are damn good. The filling is more buttery-tasting than anything. I think it does detract from the overall flavor of the cookie, but I still enjoy the flavor and texture of these cookies. It's got the light, crispy outer covering with the chewy innards and the aforementioned buttery filling. So far, I've tried peach and green tea. They also have pistachio, mango, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, raspberry and possibly blueberry (it was a darkish blue-grey color). They vary in size -- some are laughably small and some are actually a decent size. Would be nice if they were more consistent and regular. Both the fruit cake and black forest cake are ALWAYS solid choices. They go for $3.99/slice and $35 for a whole cake. The cakes are never too sweet and very light.
