This was my first time using a moving service, and my first move in over ten years, from my tiny city apartment to a new house outside of Boston. I was ready to get scammed, overcharged, and taken advantage of, I figured it just came with the territory of any moving service beyond the super expensive "white glove" ones I couldn't afford. But Mozart proved all that wrong. They answered all my annoying questions before the move, gave me specific instructions to get everything ready for max efficiency (like sending pics and a video of everything), and were very affordable. The guys showed up on time, worked fast despite the 90 degree heat, and were friendly and careful during the process, even when they had to take a door off to fit the mattress in (our place is up three flights of old, narrow stairs too). We used Mozart for moving out of our apartment in Boston to our new home on the North Shore. The team of 3 knocked it out of the park - they arrived early, were efficient and courteous and treated our things with care the entire day. We had 2 heavy pieces of furniture that a previous moving company had dropped going down a set of stairs and this team handled them with ease. Ok. These guys. Just go. January 1st, they were on PERFECT time (in perfect shape, fully awake. On the 1st. Not something I can say about us). We've been as thorough as we could with packing and we've also been complimented on it, which is an added feel nice moment on the 1st of Jan when you spent the whole friggin holidays packing like crazy. First day they picked up my stuff in Boston. I have a tricky driveway, and they were able to maneuver the van without trouble. They were so kind and helpful when they picked up my boxes. And fast! However one of the movers used too much private phone call time while at the final stage of moving. The other two movers have to wait until he finished. From the start, the quote process was easy and efficient through their online form and was much easier than going back and forth over email like I was doing with other companies. The movers arrived right on time and were incredibly efficient even though it was the hottest day of the year. I honestly couldn't believe how quickly they were moving. Symphony gone Fraud. I have moved over 10 times in the past 15 years and just 4 times in the past 5. We used Mozart Movers in the past and they were great. This time I was shocked. They arrived 5 hours later after switching another customer to our morning spot without telling us. Multiple calls to the management finally made an agreement on a new time. There was 4 people and they took twice as much time to pack. Later I found that even small pieces or a lid from a pot were wrapped in 2 or 3 large packing papers to use more time. Pictures show how wasteful it was. It took me an enormous amount of time to unpack later. Markings on boxes were poor and it was hard to locate anything until you fully unwrap everything. Overall the guys were very slow and seemed just tired from the earlier job, taking lots of breaks. We started helping them pack after 3.5 hours to speed up the process. Two bedroom apartment, not a large house, it took over 6 hours to move 15 minutes away. They were great in the past and are a total scam now. read more

Hired Mozart for my move within the town of Belmont. Nick and his team of 4 arrived promptly, they surveyed our stuff, and got packing. They are nice, friendly guys who worked really hard. They were really careful with all our stuff, and did a nice job filling the truck and making sure things didn't flop around. They handled our boxes and other items with care, and worked around our constraints. They did a really good job wrapping up all the furniture, pulling out seemingly endless blankets and using that big black saran wrap and tan packing tape everywhere. When I changed my mind and I added several pieces of furniture towards the end, they did not complain, and accommodated us graciously. Needless to say, we tipped them pretty generously. What an incredible experience! The pre-move communications were excellent. But the move itself was incredible. The crew called announcing a 45-minute arrival time and arrived 45-minutes later. The three gentlemen were friendly and congenial and, most importantly, they got right down to business, clarifying with us exactly what was to moved. Then they went into action, quickly and efficiently working as a team to wrap, secure and move all our items respectfully and carefully. And the same was true on the move-in end. All in all, 2 1/2 hours with travel time (5 miles between locations) to complete a one-bedroom apartment move. And the cost was far less than I expected. There are lots of moving companies in the area, and I'm sure most are very good, but after this experience I would call Mozart again and avoid the risk of going with an unknown. read more

I hired Mozart Moving Company based on the many positive yelp reviews. Having worked with three other moving companies in the past, I am not sure how they got so many stellar reviews. Pros: - on time (in fact, 30 mins early) - good online portal with lots of information before my move - friendly, courteous, great team - truck was clean, they came with supplies and moving blankets Cons: - initial hourly rate provided online was wrong, Yan clarified the (higher) rate over the phone - these were the slowest movers I've ever had - final cost came to twice as much as the quote My biggest gripe is with the quote mishaps. First, the hourly rate I got online was wrong. The webpage looked professional to me, so I wish this wouldn't have happened. However, during our phone call, Yan was apologetic about it and cleared it up right away -- no problem. However, on the day of the move, the movers showed up early and worked later because they were so slow. My final cost was double the initial estimate -- a huge bummer :( So yes, my final impression of Mozart Moving Company is "A-OK" and I would probably not book them again. read more

We absolutely loved our experience with Mozart! We weren't sure what to expect because we had never hired professional movers before, but they blew us away. They arrived at the beginning of the expected time window and were so fast. There were 3 guys, and they got right to work. Our move was done within a few hours, and nothing was damaged or broken. They brought blankets and tape, which did not cost us extra. The guys where super nice and had no problem helping us keep our cats in one room while we moved things in. Our estimate was spot on (and less than many other companies), and Yan was very communicative with us about questions we had. To top it off, they sent us a handwritten thank you note afterward. After reading a lot of nice things about this company I decided to get a quote from them. We needed packers and movers - three solid days of work. I understand it is a high season, so when the first time the lady who was supposed to do an in-home estimate cancelled 30 minutes before our appointment I was understanding. We rescheduled for a few days later. But then she was a NO SHOW. and then, what is most upsetting, she was BS'ing me on the phone and pretending to be nice. Said she had an emergency etc. Well a text or a phone call would be nice, even at the time of appointment, or later. I think she just forgot.. Had 2 loaders come to move my 1-bedroom apartment into a moving truck. They quoted me 2.5-3 hours and they took 2 hours exactly= $160. They also charge $40 for their travel time, but it is well worth it considering most Boston moving companies charge close to $100 for their travel to get to you and to get back home. My wife and I recently moved from Boston to Brooklyn and here is our story: After being told by another interstate moving company that they could not facilitate our move less than two weeks from our move date, we contacted Mozart. The entire process was seamless and easy. They gave us one flat rate from our information and it was considerably more desirable than the normal interstate companies we were looking to book. When arriving on a hot hot hot! August day to pack the house, they showed up on time and ready to go. The three men were extremely professional from beginning to end. No holes, Knicks cuts scratches in any of the walls. This was especially difficult because of the old age of the house and all the tight narrow hallways. On delivery day, the movers did not show up on time.. the showed up EARLY!.. which I never thought was going to be an option. It was the same crew with the exception of 1 of the movers, but the main contact I had from pick up to drop off stayed in touch the entire time. They were patient and very respectful of all my belongings. I'd give 10 stars if I could. We just used Mozart for an interstate move (Boston to Pittsburgh) and they were great. Fast, clean and efficient service. For interstate moves, they have one Mozart employed guy drive the truck to the location and then hire out any more necessary movers in the local area for unloading. Our two local movers in Pittsburgh ended up getting COVID at the last minute and called out, but Nick from Mozart still unloaded the whole truck by himself. Took him just four hours to unload a two bedroom apartment and he stayed bright and positive the whole time. These are difficult times to move, but Mozart and Nick made it easy and remained flexible.
