I would advise anyone in the winter garden Deltona , Orange city area to avoid Mr. Appliance Rick Shouse (lead technician). My experience with them costs me $600+ unnecessarily when they misdiagnosed an icemaker issue and would not return the replacement icemaker when mine begin working again two days later. Mr. Shouse refused to return my calls and would only communicate with me through the tech. He communicated and unmovable "no" to take back the unopened ice maker and return it to whirlpool for a refund. With no other choice, I allowed them to install the new ice maker. Now the new one doesn't work! When they returned a couple of days later to address it, a new sensor was needed. Now I have a perfectly fine icemaker sitting in the garage in the box. A brand new icemaker in my refrigerator and I'm buying bags of ice to put in my iced tea. I don't understand how businesses like this stay afloat. But if this is their MO: misdiagnosing problems, charging customers unnecessarily and refusing to make good on their mistakes then I guess that's one way to make money. If you have any plans to work with Mr. Appliance of Columbus Ohio, DO NOT! Hire anyone else. Here's my saga (so far): On November 11, 2025, I scheduled service through your webform. A serviceman visited my home, diagnosed the issue with my oven, and informed me that a part needed to be ordered. I provided a check for $625, requested by the serviceman, to cover the part and repair. To date, I have not received an itemized estimate or invoice for this payment and have no idea where my check is now, over 2 months later, or if I will ever have my oven repaired. Weeks after the original service, I received a single call stating the part was back-order. I was told by the front-facing (customer service?) staff member (Emir? Emil?) that he would contact me and provide a tracking number. That tracking number was never provided. Indeed, no contact was made. Contrary to claims on their website about keeping parts on hand and having a relationship with Samsung, the evidence clearly shows that these assurances are exaggerated, at beat, and false, at worst. I won't even comment on the claims related to next day or same day repair. On or around December 17, after no contact from anyone, the part appeared in my carport without notice -remember, I was never provided a tracking number or ANY information. From November, through the arrival of the part, through last week when someone finally answered the phone , I had no communication from Mr. Appliance of Columbus, and all attempts to contact them, until last week, failed. Calls to their listed numbers -(614) 382-6162 and (614) 524-4629--disconnected automatically EVERY TIME. I have also submitted multiple webforms, chatted with AI on the web, and sent text messages (via AI). All without a response for weeks and weeks. It has now been two months since the original service call to diagnose the issue. During this time, I have been without an oven through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and even while hosting a wake for my twin brother who had passed. Last week, the front-facing (customer service?) staff member (Emir? Emil?) finally answered the phone. It was clear to me that it was the same person I spoke to originally and then regarding the part as they had a very distinct voice and accent. He claimed he could not give me an update as "he was not the one who I worked with before" but would talk to "management", get the update and call me within 24 hours. This all seemed odd to me, since he was the one I worked with. Even if he was not, the idea that there is not a computer entry, or even a pile of hard copy service orders available to him to check, is astounding! A two-month-old service request including the part finally arriving a month ago and there is no update, and he cannot just make a service appointment without talking to someone else? I have little faith, and zero trust, in the gentleman. However, I acquiesced, even though I suspected he was just looking for an excuse to get me off the phone. After the tech worked on my machine, he told me he couldn't fix it and needed to bring an 'older' technician back to my home at another time to service my machine, but the price would still be $230, as agreed upon before they came on to my property and into my home. After the technician left, the 'Owner' called me, and said that he'd need to double the price for them to come back and fix my washer. This is after they'd already come and laid their hands on my washer. He said this was ok because they hadn't charged me anything, yet. I explained how unacceptable that was, and that I should be charged what we agreed upon before his technician touched my washer. This company is terrible! We have a new mielie dishwasher that has a bad pump. Mr appliance diagnosed our system after a few cancelled appointments. The local store said they needed to order the part. After 4-5 additional cancelled appointments, with various excuses for cancelling, we called to find out when we would have our dishwasher fixed. They then informed us they are no longer servicing mielie! Months of waiting and multiple missed appointments and now we need to start over with a new service provider. Background - my front loading washer sounded like it was throwing metal pieces as it was spinning water out. I immediately stopped the washer. Didn't run it again and made an appointment for MRI Appliance to come out. Dan was my technician. He was very cordial but he did zero troubleshooting. He ran the machine on the drain and spin cycle. Told me that it was probably a broken spindle and I should probably just nurse this one on gentle until it breaks all the way. I tried that but on the second load, the washer gave me a code. I googled that code. I turned my stacked units by myself and took the back off. Watched a YouTube video that said I should empty the drain trap. I did (which contained loose change and was full of hair). I cleaned it and it's been working fine for the last 4 loads, including heavy comforters, blankets, and towels. I got ripped off for $109 service call where zero service was performed and fixed it myself. Also, don't call them to fix your TV because he told me they will just tell you to but a new one. this has to be "THE" worst company as far as communication and customer support i have ever experienced. hands down. i had a tech come out to fix a dishwasher did not have all the parts needed. said it would take a few days to get it. then was told a few days later the part had to be ordered. BUT was on back order with zero time table. that was in august of 24. fast forward till now with zero updates or anything. i paid $200 already to fix it and then they have the balls to hit me for another $200. i would have bought a brand new one for what i spent here. absolute joke. do not use this company for anything. very deceitful and no communication. they did nothing to help me after waiting 6 months. beyond pissed. i am sales and WOULD NEVER handle a customer this way. no wonder the reviews are horrible. and whoever runs this company needs to be fired!!! read more

Requested a service of my Miele dishwasher having water sitting at the bottom of the machine. They said they could do Miele. Have had fur times them coming back . They fixed the water issue but for extraordinary reason they pulled out my fitted machine because I noticed that the door would not close (which was perfectly alright before) hence could not use the machine. Called them back and they said there was a part needed. Requested them to go ahead and get the part and have not heard from them since!!!!! The technician was very nice but sadly I am stuck with a machine I love that does not work and I cannot afford to replace it. Very poor knowledge of technicians. I called Mr. Appliance in Nashua, NH to get my washing machine repaired. it would not spin in the spin cycle. The repairman was out in two days which was great. 5 trips later and its still not running. He is supposed to come today and fix it, if he does, the total cost will be over $700 for a 600 washing machine. The repairman missed diagnosed at least twice with some very expensive parts. MR appliance sent Tehran out to find freon leaks..he said he fixed it he did not break down that part of fridge.. therefore DID NOT fix it! ..while going through ( 4 Techs (1 who was the owner Lonny Walker) over a period of several months June or July 2023 to October, inconveniencing me many times during that time only to call and say in October 2023 we cannot fix your fridge! It is not fixable, also told the factory it is not fixable! WHY? BECAUSE THEY BROKE IT they are responsible in every way including $ for their screwups!!! all sealed parts are under warranty. I have spent almost $700 and the problem is still not resolved after 2 months and now they say I can get a 50% refund bc they installed parts. He came out & stated wire was bad & couldn't get original but had to get one he believed would work. That cost me $300 not including the $600 for new glass burner top. Still not wking he came back out. Now it's switch. After 1st repair he agreed he did not test each burner but tested all 4 together & had he tested them individually he would have seen a serious issue! I did not have this issue prior to repair! Only 1 burner would not wk. Afterwards it was found that turning on front burner turns both burners on & bk is auto on high. Look I was happy to pay for addtl parts but he said I'd have to pay labor yet again. I was using front Re fire and after burner quit. I replaced burner glass inserts & took trim up to clean under it. NO SCREWS TO ELECTRICAL AREA WERE REMOVED! No one ever contacted me. after waiting the first four months I reached out to the company and was told the part didn't come in yet. Mind you the technician order the wrong part. I called and set up an appointment yesterday morning for my washing machine. The lady I spoke to said that someone named Todd would be at my house mid to late afternoon. When Todd arrived he was very nice and he supposedly fixed my washer. He did fix the initial problem that I called about which was my lid lock but now suddenly I have another problem. Now my washer is saying H2O supply and will not once again work. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my water supply and this is something my washer has NEVER done. I call Mr. Appliance back this morning at 8am on the dot and I speak to the same person who came out yesterday evening. He tells me that he will try to have someone out here either today or tomorrow to see what's going on with it. I tell him I need my washer ASAP and he tells me that they already have customers who are on the schedule and will have to work me in. I'm sorry, and maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I was a customer also who had an appointment yesterday and I for the life of me do not see how it's fair that I have to wait another 1-2 days to get my washer fixed when obviously it wasn't fixed completely yesterday. Todd Cripe also informed me that this is a different problem and that I could be charged more money on top of all this also. I ask to speak to his supervisor and he informs me that he's the owner of that particular store. I'm already out of pocket with them for $228.34 so I don't want to call someone else just yet but I can't keep going without my washing machine. I do know if someone does not come today I will call someone else first thing in the morning and I will NEVER use this store or any other store affiliated with Mr. Appliance. I feel like if you already had an appointment and they come out to fix your stuff and it's not fixed they should do better by you than "we'll try to have someone out there today or tomorrow." I've already waited once and now here I am waiting again the very next day. I would understand if it was days,weeks etc.. but hours??? CAUTION: Avoid Mr. Appliance at all costs! CAUTION: Do not buy your appliances at Lowes! I would give Mr. Appliance zero (0) stars if Yelp would let me. They do not come close to deserving even (1) Star. Mr Appliance has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Our dishwasher broke on 08/12 after only having it for two (2) days. We bought the dishwasher through Lowe's and they had Mr. Appliance come out to service it. Mr. Appliance said that they would be there on 08/18 but they did not show up. We called them multiple times through out the day and there was no answer. When someone finally called us back they very rudely insisted that they had called and left a message. (The language used on this phone call was by no means appropriate for a service provider to use with a customer.) There was no missed call; there was no message. They did show up the next day and said that we would need a new PCB. It is now 09/01 and we have not heard anything back from them. We have called several times and usually get the recording. We have left messages but no one has called us back. When I did get to talk to a real person, I was informed that she could not look up anything about our situation and that the person that could help was not in. I asked what hours this person is in the office and was told that they work from 07:30 to ~17:00. When I called it was 16:15 and when I questioned why they were not there, she informed me that it was ~17:00. The lady stated that she would take down my information and someone would call me the next day. No one ever called me. When I tried to contact them, all I got was the recording. I then proceeded to call the corporate headquarters, where I was told that they could not look up any information about my situation. I was put on hold while they attempted to contact the local branch handling my situation. When the person returned to the phone, they informed me that when they called the only number they had on file for that location, they were told that the number was no longer active. (This is true; if you call the number you find online for this location, you get a message that says "this number is no longer active".) I then asked to be transferred to her supervisor. She told me that the supervisor was not in, but he would call be back before the end of the day. I still have not received a call back. I have called the local branch handling my situation several times and consistently receive the recording. The recording only made me more upset as the recording talks about how important customer service is to Mr. Appliance and all the wonderful things they do to ensure outstanding customer service.
