On time, exceptionally polite and gregarious, knowledgeable and helpful, Troy Hill was everything you would want in a service professional. I would recommend this company to anyone needing any type of appliance repair. The price was reasonable and Troy was on time. He had to order a part from his iPad and even scheduled the time to return to install it himself. Our downtime was minimal and from my first phone call to job completion was just a couple of days ... including having the part shipped! Mr. Appliance - Unfulfilled Refund and Lack of Communication Mr. Appliance visited my home on May 6, 2025, to perform a diagnostic on my washer, which had essentially stopped working. Larry, the technician, was friendly and thorough. He explained that he could repair the washer but would need to order a part first. I was told that if I moved forward with the repair, the $99 diagnostic fee would be waived, and a $300 deposit would be required to order the part. I agreed and provided a check for the deposit. Larry returned on May 8, 2025, but unfortunately, the part did not resolve the issue. At that point, Larry advised that it would be more cost-effective to purchase a new washer. Since no repair was ultimately completed, I was told the $99 diagnostic fee would apply, and the remaining $201 of my deposit would be refunded via a mailed paper check. It has now been over two months, and I have still not received the $201 refund. I have emailed multiple times with no response. I've called repeatedly and left messages with the call center, and I also spoke directly with Derek several times, and each time he assured me the refund would be processed. I sent messages through social media, but again received no reply. On July 24, 2025, I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, and Mr. Appliance failed to respond to my request. At this point, I'm incredibly disappointed with the lack of follow-through and communication. I understand that mistakes happen, but it should not be this difficult to receive a simple refund for services not rendered. Repaired my washer after telling me my water pressure was too high, it damaged a valve and I needed to call a plumber to fix water pressure before they would repair. After calling a plumber to fix water pressure-$400 dollars, they changed valve, the problem still was unresolved. Come to find out, fixing the water pressure WAS NOT the issue and they needed to replace another component. Super frustrated with this company. read more

Our 4 year old LG stopped working, first the freezer and then went to the fridge side. I didn't think we were still in warrantee to call LG, so we hired a tech to give us a quote. Upon opening the door, Jordan was smiling-- until he saw my mask. His shoulders dropped and he said "do I need to put on a mask?" Ummmm, YES. I am shocked that as many covid 19 cases as there are that the company would not expect a tech entering my home to wear the mask. He went out and retrieved it. From there on, he was very brief and definitely did not seem very pleased that he had to wear the mask. The condenser had gone out and it was going to cost as much to fix as it would to get a new fridge. Not worth it. Jordan did give me a few minutes to answer questions--at least he did that since we paid him $99 for a 20 minute or less visit. In particular, I brought up some strange activity I had noticed before the fridge gave out and inquired if this was the fridge telling me something was wrong. Jordan said "I think you're overthinking it." My husband contacted LG and found out we were in warrantee. A tech came out a week later and we were able to have the condenser replaced free of charge. Not only that, but the lg tech said that lg has 10 year condenser warranties on all of their fridges! I guess Jordan didn't know that...but if he did, sure would have been nice for him to tell me. Additionally when I told the tech that I noticed the strange activity, he went into a detailed explanation of why it was absolutely my fridge telling me something was wrong. Man am I glad we called LG. I'm not going to totally write off mr appliance, but if I recall this experience--i will request jordan not service my home. I realize we all have bad days, but I did my best to make light of the pandemic--without taking any chances with my health or that if my young children( who could have easily run in and bothered the tech if I had become overwhelmed. So, about once per year I have to get my refrigerator drain cleaned out and get the sheets of ice removed so it will stop leaking. This year, I got Chase from Mr Appliance OTM. What they do is give you a totally unaffordable estimate and take your money because they know $800 is ridiculous for a repair to a used washing machine. I think that they are giving bogus quotes in order to collect on house calls. Their running a game on consumers and I will be reporting them to the BBB. read more

Terrible company. Substandard parts and poor workmanship. They replaced the gasket on my refrigerator door December 2021; came back 9 months later to replace the same gasket which tore in the exact same place and also replaced the left side. Both gaskets tore again in the exact same place in less than 6 months. This company will not stand behind their work and will not replace the torn gaskets unless I pay full price. I would never use this company again and highly recommend that you avoid them at all costs unless you like paying for the same repair every 6-9 months! read more

I work long hours and we have kids, can't go without a washer, so I went out and bought a new washer. Our clothes dryer had been making grinding and screeching noises for months. I just ignored them (probably not the best plan!) Until the dryer just stopped. Even then, after I lightened the load a little it dried..a little. A friend had used Mr Appliance and had a good experience. I called, the technician came the next day, told me what was wrong, quoted a price and put the dryer back together by substituting a part he already had. So it worked while they ordered the part. That came the next day and put in 4 New rollers. It wasn't cheap, but better than a new dryer! Now it works wonderfully...and no more complaints or noises! read more

My 2 1/2 year old dishwasher quit working so I called Mr. Appliance for repair. Their technician arrived 3 days later and diagnosed the problem. I only paid about $700 for the dishwasher new. He wanted $610 for the part plus his hourly fee, plus tax. I paid the diagnostic charge and he left. The next day, my husband located the replacement part which we picked up. We paid $90 for the part. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to fix it but it was well worth the time to save that much! Tech was nice and knowledgeable but they were charging 600% or more for their parts! I do not recommend Mr. Appliance. We had a leak and paid a plumber to come out and find the source. He pinpointed the exact valve that needed replaced on our refrigerator. We scheduled Mr. Appliance to come out and replace the valve, clearing stating when we made the appointment what needed to be replaced. When they arrived, they did not have the replacement part with them and instead charged us $99 to tell us what we had already paid a plumber to tell us: that the valve needed replaced. My Relative's mocrowave went out, so my reative trusts this company, 35242. The did come out to the house but did not fix the overpriced piece of junk GE Appliances Microwave which cost $900. Instead, Mr. Appliance saus it will cost her $400 to repair and says it is not worth it and charges this elderly relative $100 just to drive to her house. I visited afterward, spent 3 to 4 hours and replaced the Door Interlock middle of 3 switch. A very common and easy fix and on youtube, which I have done on my GE microwave, which broke at less than 2 years old, Lowes purchase. Cost was free today, as I used a NO switch from another broken micrwave, also GE, which less than 3 yrs old. The switch os $1 to $4, Walmart.com. Such a scam! And it has not shorted after using, so easy repair for a trained Mr. Appliance repairman who just collected $100 and did nothing but drive and pretend to look and test it. They look out for their customer's best interest, they show up when they say they are going to, and they do what they say they are going to do. My ice maker stopped working in this overpriced french door fridge, so not a normal owner serviceable ice maker. Marc came out, tried one fix to see if that would do it, and to save me a bundle of money. Unfortunately that wouldn't do it and the part had to be ordered and replaced. He was back out the next day, exactly when he said he would be, and got everything working again. I've recommended Mr. Appliance to a couple of friends now. At 7:00 that evening, after calling, was called back to see if they could reschedule the next day. Let's see, wasted five hours with no phone call and you want me to reschedule because you can't use a phone to relay your status to me and are too unprofessional to come late the same day.........yeah, I want YOU working on my appliances. I contacted this company they sent me a technician I made him aware I was legally blind. He came out check my washer because it was not squeezing close out properly. My dryer well not coming on. He walked in master button on my dryer it came on. He started the washer. Put clothes in it on the quick cycle. I left the room. He got on his cell phone. They charged me $90 for a $15 part and $140 for a ten minute job. This is a scam operation. They may be competent but are unscrupulous.

On 10/23/2020, I paid Mr. Appliance $471.45 for Task #DD251000 - "ICE MAKER REPAIR OR REBUILD". The technician first replaced the optic sensor, thinking that was all that was needed for the repair; but the ice maker still did not work. The next week he replaced the ice maker's control board, and it began working; but after two weeks it stopped working. Then on 12/15/2020 he replaced the ice maker assembly, but I WAS CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $195.14 for it!! I took issue with this added charge, thinking it should've been covered under my original payment of $471.45. Plus, I wasn't told about this additional charge until after the technician installed it; and when I balked at paying this extra amount, he said he'd have to take it out if I didn't pay! So after talking to a representative at the main office, to no avail, I went on and paid the $195.14. So my TOTAL payment came to $666.59 - just for an ice maker!! I am totally disappointed with this overcharge! Moreover, if I had refused to pay it, the result would have been a still not fixed ice maker, even after I'd already paid $471.45 for Task DD251000 - ICE MAKER REPAIR OR REBUILD. read more

I called Monday to see why aren't they here!!!, evidently I was bumped and and told - sorry we have you down for Tuesday...with no other explanation of why the change in scheduling - Another big inconvenience -I had to go through because of my choice to stick with this company because of an already invested fee- just let the money go next time($99). - The best I can say from my experience was that the technician did come between the hours that they said (2 to 4pm )and the young man was courteous and the refrigerator was fixed within 20 quick minutes... The company has an incentive of one year parts and labor warranty but after the years warranty is up, I don't think I'll ever use them again. And maybe not even under the warranty. God bless them... Very nice on the phone, sent repairman same day for leak on our Bosch washing machine. Tech diagnosis charge $79 to tell us boot had small tear and complete replacement would be $442 and would have to order part. My husband asked why the price was so high and tech said "I am not working on an Oldsmobile, this is a Bosch". Googled part price online $52. Told them NO WAY and paid our $79 diagnosis charge for 10 minutes of his time. Purchased part and repaired in less than 30 minutes ourselves and paid only $52 for replacement part. Beware of this company and their labor charges, quite pricey and tech very unprofessional. read more
