The Technician was pleasant. But the dishwasher was not fixed. Had to order another part. 1 month later they finally said they could come out. When I called and left a message asking the time, no response. No response with text or after 3 calls made. Very unprofessional. I would not use this company. No reliability and no trust in this company. I should add, this was under warranty, so since they were already paid from the first time I tried to have it fixed over 2 months ago, I can only assume they put me way back on the list of costumers to have repairs done or just decided they won't honor it. There pricing is misleading. They claim that the fee that's charged for the repairman to come out is around 120. They claim that it's deducted from the full job price . If you choose to used them but is it ? The price I was given 468 dollars to replace two oven handles. When asked about the service fee deduction, I was told that it was subtracted. So the real price was 568 for two oven handles? That's the cost of a new oven . Scam. read more

On April 23, 2025 a technician came to our house to assess an ice maker which was not working in our refrigerator/freezer unit. The technician pulled out the appliances, ran a diagnostic, pushed in the unit and said he could come back the next day to repair the ice maker. A $250 diagnostic fee/deposit was paid. Soon after the technician left water dripping could be heard and then water began to pour out of the water connection to the fridge/freezer unit. Water went down into the wall under the connection and then proceeded to soak the surrounding baseboard and wood floor. The only person who touched the appliance was the technician who moved the appliance and loosened the water line in doing so. We called the company back immediately when we heard the dripping and were place on hold, told there was no manager available to speak with, and then the phone call was disconnected. We had to go purchase fans to dry the floors and walls. After speaking with the company we were told that they were not going to come out the next day to fix the ice maker as was scheduled due to what happened and that they would only refund the fee from the diagnostic/deposit. Time from work was taken off, damage was caused to our house, and the company declined to come out and fix the original issue after causing this damage. The least they could do is fix the original issue at a reducing price to accommodate the customer after the damage they caused, which took additional time and effort to clean and remediate. read more

We had been having our Jennaire Grill/range with the timer sometimes just going off and had to manually turn it off. Then one day it went off and would not shut down. After a couple hours waiting and pushing the stop button, we cut the power to it off. We love our indoor range / grill and use it often. We called Mr Appliance and they sent a technician out in a few hours. Ronald came when we were told he would. They even texted us when he was in route and included a picture of him. Nice. He was very friendly, masked and with shoe coverings. He quickly found that the main circuit board was bad. Since the range is 20 years old, and had seen a lot of pancakes, omelettes, steaks and the like, no surprise. But company no longer makes that model board. He said they would have the board rebuilt for $615. We paid the $99 service fee and decided to shop around. Lol. The closest range we found with a grill was over $6,000! So we called, he came back and removed the board. We were told it would take a couple weeks to be rebuilt. In the meantime we cook use the surface burners but not the grill or oven. Thankfully we have a toaster oven we use more than the big oven. Couple weeks later they called, board was in so they scheduled Ronald to come install. He did, and gave us a $99 credit for service call. We were so happy we grilled steaks for dinner and made pancakes next morning on the flat-top. read more

Mr. Appliance was contacted to repair a KitchenAid Refrigerator that was leaking water. They have attempted to solve the problem at least 3 times, most recently in March. The problem has occurred again, resulting in another request for repair, however, after several attempts, they insisted on another charge of $125. I refused to pay again and they refused to respond. This review applies to Mr. Appliance of Tampa Bay: When I called them to repair my dishwasher, I was told that the service call/diagnostic fee would be $119, but that it would apply to the repair. They arrived on time and performed the diagnostic and I paid them $119. However, they said that they could not get the defective part, but could get it as a part of a wash pump assembly for an estimated price of $250. The technician quoted "about $500" for the part and installation, less the $119. I told the technician that I would try to get the part directly from the manufacturer, which I did, for about $20. I contacted Mr. Appliance to have the part installed, but they refused to perform the repair, stating that they don't install customer supplied parts, which I was not told when I indicated that I would get the part myself. Their own disclosure which is attached to their invoice states that "there is no guarantee on repairs performed with customer supplied parts." which indicates that they do repairs with customer supplied parts, but that they won't guarantee those repairs. As a result, I'm out $119 and still have a dishwasher that doesn't work, and I'll have to pay another service fee to a company that will perform the repair with the OEM part. The first call I made to another appliance repair company agreed to do the repair with the OEM part and provide a guarantee on that repair, FYI. read more

Our Whirlpool dryer would tumble but it quit heating. I called 6 appliance repair businesses in the north Tampa/Lutz area and none of them would work on a dryer that was part of a stacked washer-dryer unit. Mr. Appliance was the only one that would come out. Yes, they charge a $139 service fee but that was then included in the cost of the total repair and the the new heating element that we needed. Tried to run a quick load of laundry the other night...went to put the clothes in the dryer but ended up sloshing across the floor which could have been worse had the throw rug not soaked up a great deal of water. Okay, mop the floor, throw away the 80 pound wet rug and look to see who fixed this 'top of the line' washer...Mr. Appliance! Called the next morning as soon as they opened, he could be here by 4:00. Perfect! Then they called to say 11:00...even better! He called to apologize for running late but I was really glad to see him. Axel wore his mask and was so pleasant. Mr. Appliance of Tampa Bay came out to fix our fridge/freezer combo. I was quoted nearly $600 by the tech; he said only ONE thing was wrong and only ONE part needed to be replaced. We agreed. Less than 2 weeks after his repair, we woke up to water leaking everywhere and called the company back. The company sent the same tech back to our home. Tech said another part is now broken (supposedly). How very convenient. He proceeded to say that he now recommends we get a new fridge/freezer. I called & emailed Mr. Appliance back and requested a refund of the $600 (or at least a portion of the moneys). Mary advised me via telephone that would absolutely not be happening. I've reported them to the BBB due to their very shady, and unethical, business practices. I strongly urge you to reconsider doing business with them. You've been warned. Yikes. I had a friend recommend someone to fix my washer - he stood me up - TWICE! I called Mr. Appliance and they were here the NEXT MORNING BEFORE 10 am!! They sent an email stating who I should be expecting and attached his picture. When he arrived he handed me a business card with the same picture on it - I felt quite safe! He was polite, knowledgeable, efficient, respectful. He listened to what issues I was having, inspected the machine, gave me a quote, STUCK to the quote, finished in a timely manner. I would rate this 0 stars if possible. This company ROYALLY screwed me over and the owner was a complete prick in dealing with the mess he caused. I had a dryer repair in June, in the process of working on the dryer the repair man took out the drainage hose for the washer. When he finished, the hose wasn't put back into the drain. I ran a load and had 20+ gallons of water pour out into my home- destroying the wood floors, tripping electrical outlets, ruining baseboards and drywall. Initially they called Dririte (another company to avoid like the plague) and had them come out to place dryers in the home. They had Dririte remove 1/3 of my laminate flooring with no plan in place to replace the flooring. They were trying to "avoid getting insurance involved if possible." Insurance finally came, took FOREVER, but eventually repaired and replaced everything. 3 MONTHS LATER MR. APPLIANCE AND DRIRITE WERE ASKING FOR MORE MONEY. Jim, the owner, tried claiming that the insurance company "released him from responsibility of payment" (bullshit) and Dririte started calling me for money because they refused to pay for their mistake. The Technician misdiagnosed the reason our electric range was not working. He blamed it on the electricity which turned out not to be correct, it was the range. He said since there was no label on the range they could not do the repair. This is not disclosed when you sign up. They charged the $99 fee. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss and never got a call. I sent a complaint to their corporate office as this is a franchise and they said they cannot do anything about it. read more

My convection oven/microwave and oven combo stopped working only a few weeks before Thanksgiving. Knowing I am hosting 10 friends I was panicked. Mr. Appliance was able to come to my home a day after I called. They were able to get all of the necessary parts in stock within two days. Bob was my technician and he is amazing! He discovered I had a problem with the voltage not sufficient so he recommended I have an electrician come out. Then Bob had to call Bosch after he replaced all of the parts as there was now an error message. Bob had to speak with multiple people at Bosch but his persistence paid off. I would give 0 stars if possible. They will gouge you. They came and quoted me 467 dollars to replace the heating element in my dryer. That seemed really high to me, so I told them I would think about it. I called a few more places and found a company that would do it for 285. When I asked Mr appliance why they were so high they told me the part was really expensive, which the new guy confirmed. The part was 185. That being said, it took the new guy less than 2 hours to complete, let's just give them 2 hours. So the new guy(Tampa Property Services) charged me 45 per hour for labor basically. That means Mr Appliance was trying to charge me 143.50 per hour. When I called to find out what their rates were for labor I was told we don't charge by the hour we charge by the job to save you money. Haha so cute for trying Mr. Appliance. read more

It's not often I leave a poor review... in fact I've only left "two negative" reviews in my entire life. I'm sharing my experience with Mr. Appliance so that the community is aware. I called them out and paid their $119 fee, which was more than the other companies I looked into. I figured since their fee is higher I'll get better service and results. Well, so far that's not the case. I've had to call them out a total of three times and I still have the same issue...yet they have been paid AND tipped. But I only know that the tech who came out, named Christian, came out opened my washer and saw mouse tirds all over it, flashing red led on the bottom board and nothing at all on top controller. He was straight up about how much you spend when mice eat up wires and that you do not know how much is shorted out without replacing things first. He said he would not charge for coming out and recommened retiring it. I think he was honest and i am glad he did not just get me to start trying to fix it!! So 5 stars for him. read more

Today, I used Mr. Appliance to repair my Samsung washing machine and Kitchen Aid dishwasher. When I called to schedule my appointment, I provided the model and serial numbers, fully explained the problem and provided the error codes. I think this information is helpful so the technician can be full prepared with any necessary parts. The staff is very friendly. An email confirmation is sent the day before your appointment. I also received a text message with a photo ID of my technician, Damian. He also called to let me know when he was on his way. Damian was very knowledgeable of my appliances and known issues. He was able to quickly diagnosis the problem with the washer and he provided an estimate prior to beginning work. The dishwasher was working but not cleaning well. We called ame. Appliance because we have a double oven that Keri's shutting off with error codes indicating it needs a new board. We ordered the board over a year ago and still have not received it. We imagined, asking with many othercovid issues, there's an issue with making and delivering these parts. We explained ALL of this to Mr. Appliance, whom we gave make model serial # and error codes to before they came out. They said they could help us. When Daniel, their repairman came out, he did not even touch the oven. He put the error codes in his computer and stated he couldn't help us as those parts are unavailable. No shit. Then he charged us $100 for that but off info. and left. They did not look for another comparable part, they didn't troubleshoot to see if it was something else. they didn'toffer any other out sourcing manufacturers for alliance parts...nada!!! I was having trouble with my washing machine, and was referred to Mr. Appliance by another service that had a tech out. Axel, the representative who came out was very polite and courteous. In about 5 minutes he was able to tell me my motor was dead. I planned to make the repair, but realized after researching it that I should not put that much money into my 9 year old washer. I understand that all companies charge a diagnostic fee, and I should have been more cautious in who I called based on this. The other company I called charged $59 to come out, which seems fair, but Mr. Appliance charges $99. I just want others to be aware of this upfront charge if you might need to replace your appliance. I feel like $100 is excessive for 10 minutes of the tech's time. read more

My gas dryer was not heating Mr Appliance sent a technician to reconnect the dryer to the gas line. 5 hours later my neighbor came over and discovered me sitting in a gas filled house The Emergency tech from People's Gas found that the tech had not tightened the connections. And I don't remember him doing the soap test either. So I called Mr Appliance and the next morning they blamed me since they don't replace connectors. Evidently they don't know how to screw on a line or lie effectively. So after nearly gassing me they refused 5o come back and refunded me. DON'T USE THEM. read more
