I had time to kill in Casa Grande the other night so I stopped in here to check it out. The server greeted me immediately and told me I could pick any seat. I asked where the bathroom was first. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was nice to walk into a very clean and well appointed bathroom![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I chose my seat and the server brought a menue right away. Within a minute or two he returned with chips, salsa, and bean dip. The serving size was absolutely perfect! I ordered a house margaritta and two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. A few minutes later the food was brought out. I was very pleased that the enchiladas were packed with cheese! Every bite was delicious. As a matter of fact, the food and service were so good that I invited my son to come join me! After he arrived, the server brought out another set of chips, salsa, and bean dip for him. Went here to grab something to go for dinner. I ordered the tacos and my husband got the torta and we got the quesadilla for our son. I thought that the quesadilla kids meal was a little expensive but then when I saw how much food it was, it was actually a great value for $10 dollars, the tacos and torta were around $12 dollars and it was plenty of food. My husband says the torta was fantastic, and the tacos were flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I arrived it was quiet and they took my order quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The guy at the counter was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We kept driving past this place because it doesn't look like much from the street. It's bigger inside than it looks. Lots of character and chunky booths[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is one large table in the front for big parties, do call first if you are a big group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their chips and salsas, plus bean dip. Our server was very helpful and sweet! The menu is extensive and does have a lot of seafood options and not all the typical Sonoran offerings. I opted for the combo with taco, cheese enchilada and chili rellano. The Hubbs chose to start with the Habanero wings and two tacos from the Taco Tuesday options. He upgraded to crispy shells with cheese. Everything was very good. I love their red enchilada sauce. We had more than enough yo share. The only thing that was less than perfect was my fish taco. I ordered the crispy fish (rather than grilled), but it wasn't crispy at all. The Hubbs like the salsa so much that we got a quart container to go. We also shared a frozen margarita which was nice but could use more lime. Definitely a good option for a different Mexican food experience. read more

Good looking taco Tuesday menu! Came in on a Tuesday night. Looks like the football team was there for dinner. We were sat right away by the front door. Which needs to be fixed as it slams shut. We ordered some of the taco Tuesday tacos. They were normal sized and packed with flavor. They offered us chips & salsa with a side of refried beans. We ordered horchata which was good but kind of pricey. They only have one size. Overall a good experience and they have a drive-thur option. read more

I arrived in Casa Grande hungry and did a Yelp search for Mexican food. One of the options was Mr. Baja Taqueria. It wasn't far from the hotel, so the Mr. & I decided to give it a go. The complimentary starter of salsa and bean dip was tasty. The chips were warm. The house margarita was a little on the sweet side, but not terrible. I ordered one of my favs, which is a chile rellano, no rice, just beans. I was presented with a beautiful plate of food. I loved that it included a fresh salad and a dob of sour cream on top of the chile rellano. I have never seen that touch before. We also received a container of home-made tortillas. I could have eaten those by themselves. I am from Texas and we eat Mexican food at least once a week, so I think I am a good judge of what's good and what isn't. This was great! Meal started with a salsa dip and a bean dip (was not expecting a bean dip but when I wrapped my mind around the second sauce not being a salsa, I actually enjoyed the dip very much). The restaurant has changed its menu so some previous menu items are not listed and prices have also increased. We had previously seen a deal for Taco Tuesdays and asked the waiter about it. She said it wasn't currently listed on the menu but is going on ($1.90 tacos). We ended up sharing a fried fish and fried shrimp taco plate and three tacos. The fried fish taco was superior to the fried shrimp taco. The fish pieces were huge! and the breading was thin, crispy, delicious. I was happy with the other three tacos too but would only return during the taco tuesday deal. Would recommend the fried fish taco, overall happy with our experience. read more

Been to several Mexican restaurants in the area and Mr Baja has been the best by far. From the waitress/hostess being very nice to the fantastic food. We had an order of bierra tacos and an order of grilled shrimp tacos. Both were excellent as was the chips and salsa, it is my go to now for great Mexican food. read more

First time in this establishment and looking at the reviews and they seemed satisfied with the taste. So for taco Tuesday I decided to try them and recommendation was right. It was good. My boys like it (who are usually picky) and my daughter. I wish it was a bit bigger tacos though. It's small size, like street taco carbon...bought 15 of them...didn't last long. We heard there was a new Mexican restaurant in town. We love Mexican food so decided to give it a try for lunch. The restaurant is nice and it is clean. Servers were all wearing masks so we felt comfortable. We were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The problem was the food. We both ordered the cheese enchilada platter. When received we both commented on how red the enchilada sauce was. Well, it not only looked like tomato sauce it also tasted very close to it. We did not care for the sauce at all. Adobada Taco They have a 2 taco plate which comes with refried beans (yum) and fluffy Mexican rice. I tried getting a 2 taco plate with battered fish AND battered shrimp before but it was too much oily batteredness so even though it was tasty, I got tired of batter by the second taco. I'd recommend getting one battered, one grilled! Service is great and the indoor seating looks really clean. Food takes about 7 minutes to come out. I wasn't too pleased with the tacos. I don't usually post to often if I forget the tacos. I forgot these because they weren't anything special. Now at days if you're going to charge more than 4 bucks for a taco come on you got to have at least some tasty ingredients. I've always wanted to try this place out, it's a small restaurant. I came to have lunch really quick with my daughter and her grandma . My daughter got the pozole with bread and oh my god just the bread itself it so soft and buttery . The pozole my daughter thought was delicious she didn't waste it at all. I got the torta carne asada, again the bread alone was so good comes with pico and guacamole and lettuce but I had no pico still very good . Horchata was tasteful too. read more

Taco Tuesday visit. $1.99 ea. Margaritas 2/$9.00. New menus, new owners. Good (2ea carnitas and carne asada)) tacos, cheese crisp (plain @$8.99 not worth it) chips and a great bean and salsa dip. Cheerful service. I prefer the previous menu and owners approach towards simple dishes and reasonable prices. The new menu (5 pages) is obviously filled with items this small kitchen does not make ie my wife ordered a Mole dish which was on the menu and told it wasn't available. This was originally a go-to place for beer and tacos. New owners stripped that away and introduced an elaborate and pricey mexican menu that the limited staff (1 waitress, 1 cook) cannot produce and a small kitchen that cannot contain the necessary products. The beer specials are gone and the Taco Tuesday offer isn't even in their new 5 page menu. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" well somebody bought this tiny drive thru taco stand with either high hopes or ignorance trying to compete with the local full mexican dining experience. I don't think its going to work as there are just too many full size Mexican restaurants already in Casa Grande and the place only has about 5 tables. Give me back my taco and beer joint! Until then I do not have plans to return. read more

I really like this local restaurant in a remodeled former massage parlor/motorcycle accessories building on Cottonwood just east of Pinal in Casa Grande. The food is fantastic, the prices are great, and the staff is extremely friendly. You can eat in, carry out or go through the drive-through, it's all good. It was highly recommended by some friends who would frequent this place. Service is good. My chicken burrito was very dry. And nothing inside like pico de gallo, it normally comes with rice and beans inside burrito but I ordered it as side dishes, both were good. Others ordered their dishes it was mixed. My Cadillac margarita was not good at all. It came with diced fruit and hardly any tequila or gran marnier. Most likely not returning if we ever visit CG again. read more
