Taco Giro in CG is a blink and you miss it drive by! Luckily I didn't blink and my husband and I stopped in on Saturday afternoon and I'm so happy to say we WILL be back. From the get go the hostess is very friendly and seated us at a booth when we requested if we could move from the tables. The chairs are a little TIGHT and I'm a big girl! The salsa and chips brought to the table tasted so fresh and the salsa was perfect! Our server was so friendly and welcoming, offering advice on the (kind of overwhelming) huge selection of food they offer. The inside ambiance and decor wasn't anything of note but the background music was perfectly balanced, some restaurants be blasting music, this location did not. The food was spectacular. We got a cheese/chorizo appetizer that was so mouth watering, based on that dish alone we were happy. My husband ordered an omelette and I ordered the steak fajitas. The food was brought out quickly and it was so delicious. From the refried beans, to the omelette my husband had, we were so satisfied and full! We even had extra to go home with. 100% will be back to try more of their food and some of the amazing looking drinks from their menu. Do yourself a huge favor and visit them today! read more

Everything here hits the spot! Even their chips are addicting, and the salsa is impeccable every time. The seafood dishes are always on point I've had their aguachiles, campechanas, molcajete, mojarra frita, and even the wet burrito everything is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service is excellent. I recently went with my mother, and while she wasn't happy with her "pescado al mojo de ajo" at first (it had no garlic flavor and was topped with bell peppers and onions), as soon as she spoke up, the staff turned it around right away without hesitation. That meant so much to me since I really wanted her to love this place as much as I do and she ended up so pleased after they fixed it. I also gathered here recently with my family to celebrate two birthdays, and the ambience was great. The staff really took care of our table and made it special. Thank you to everyone at Taco Giro! We've never been here, and this was one of the restaurants open at 10 am. It's got a nice little patio area outside and a casual atmosphere within, with seasonal banners, balloons, and artwork on the walls. For those who don't speak Spanish, I just want to say I love the fact that Taco Giro is the Fighting Rooster. I'm semi fluent but wasn't familiar with the word, so I enjoyed learning something new and fun. The menus are in Spanish and English, so that's pretty awesome and welcoming for an array of different clientele. The portions are huge from the entrees to the Margarita. The salsa with the chip basket is a little watery but the chips are perfectly seasoned. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Our server Joanna was very friendly and efficient. There were no issues with our order, and she checked on us often. Would definitely recommend and return. read more

Came in on a Wednesday night. It was semi full for the dinner crowd. There are about 15 different tables to sit at and they do have a back room with seats as well. We were greeted right away and sat at a booth. There was a large (loud) party in the middle of restaurant. Our waitress came by and got our drinks. We order two Pina Coladas. When she got back she took our order. We ended up getting the Chile Relleno Combo Plate (missing enchilada) & Two Enchiladas de Carne Molida Combo Plate. Enchiladas were very flavorful and so were the beans. I wasn't a fan of the rice. My friend's plate was missing an enchilada and ended getting her meal comp.! Lucky we took pictures of her meal because the staff didn't believe she was missing part of her meal. Just an FYI Wednesday is $6.99 enchilada night but only for their chicken. Very accommodating we had a group of 20. Food was generally great with some minor exceptions. The carnitas chimichanga was a bit dry and greasy. The cheese crisp with carne asada was phenomenal. Customer service used to be good but recently it's made a downward turn. For the last 3 years we've ordered online and would be given extra bags of chips on request and free flan with our two meal $33 order plus we'd add a tip. As of 1/1/25 they've canceled the free flan, which is ok with us, and now the manager says we only get one small bag of chips and extra chips will be $6 per little bag. He agreed if we ate there we could get multiple chip refills. I argued that with takeout there is no table service, cleanup, dirty dishes or waiter time. The manager agreed but wouldn't budge on the chips. This was not the first complaint for their lack of service. That was it! We will not go back to Taco Giro! read more

Something has gone wrong here. The meals were simply awful. Couldn't tell a Burito from the Deep fried Chimi. Ground beef was incredibly heavy seasoned and the flour tortillas were wet and slimy. The Fajitas were seasoned and heavily oiled. Onions and chicken were ok but most of the chicken was burned right to the metal plate it came on. The house margaritas seemed to be carbonated which was terrible. The prices don't match the menu either. The server was good and the beer was cold so not a total loss but I won't be back. Taco Giro is a great place to enjoy dining. I first discovered Taco Giro (Valencia location) in April of this year and have been enjoying my time there listening to live mariachi on Sunday nights. However, there was no mariachi during the night of June 15th. My night there became boring but I received a warm welcome from hostess Naomi. She took the time to explain the issue about the music. We've been here 4 times now, and have only had 1 experience that did not disappoint. In this case, we had a new server who did not have a great command of the English language, and that led to several mix-ups. First we ordered the chorizo queso plate as an appetizer. It was beautiful , but absolutely not what I was expecting. It was a plate of melted cheese, not at all dip-able, and we couldn't even get it out with a spoon. So we had to send it back. My husband asked for extra crispy hash browns, which didn't happen, and his over-medium eggs were runny. Our friend asked to substitute his hash browns for salad, and he got both. So there was an extra charge, and he didn't eat the hash browns. My nephew got a shrimp tostada. It was beautiful , but the shrimp were cold. Not what he was expecting. We had to ask for another server to interpret for us to ask about all these issues, and it was so much trouble, we just let it go. My chiliquiles were good, but my eggs were also runny. My niece got a #1 combo and she was happy. Just a lot of disappointment today. On the positive side, they make a great fried tilapia - his favorite. Every Thursday is $2 any beer of course a bucket of beer containing 6 equals to $12. Every year my friend host her birthday there food is ok no big deal salsa is terrible but atmosphere is good. Last year I was overcharged on my bank card $200 I haven't been there until tonight I decided I would take cash this time so I was charged $20 for 6 beers $9 for a glass of tomato juice, 20 percent gratuity I ordered queso fundido that was a plank of not nearly melted cheese that came with 1 tortilla. I had a bad experience the last time I came here was put in the dining area to the right and there were so many nasty flies that it was hard to enjoy our meal. We should have just got it to go. So then we come back another time and I'm like well let's just get it to go. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and it took more than 30min it wasn't that busy considering it was only 8:30a in the morning. To blame on this is the kitchen cooks. It shouldn't take half an hour to make 2 breakfast burritos. Then we was informed the burritos came with potatoes. We go home after a long wait. We take a bite into our small burritos and it's freakin tiny shoestring hashbrowns in it. Next time specify if it's hash brown not potatoes. Anyways will not be going there again. Was better off going to Filiberto's at least they're faster and they use whole chopped potatoes in their breakfast burritos. read more

There are so many Mexican restaurants in this area. I can't say we love them all but we sure do enjoy taste testing. We had eaten once before last spring and was surprised that I did not leave a review. Anyway, we were back. The food here was great. We love the cheese enchiladas and just about everything else. The fajita order is huge. The service was great and prices about average for what you get. If you enjoy eating outside, they have a nice patio with tables. Street tacos are very good and the only reason this is a 3 start review. Pozole disappointing - bland and they only offer radish and cabbage, no cilantro or onion offered with pozole. I was excited to try this restaurant. Every time I would drive by I would notice how busy the parking lot was. I decided to take my daughters 5 & 8 with me for lunch on a Wednesday. The food was good I expected a little more taste due to the delicious pictures of their meals on YELP. But I was more disappointed in the language of the staff especially around my children. I just thought it was unprofessional maybe next time I'll ask not to sit us so close to the bar area. Note this was the staff not customers with the foul language. The 5 of us stopped by for lunch on Sunday the 19th and the restaurant was busy. We were seated quickly. After just a few minutes we placed our order. We didn't wait long and here came our food, pipping hot. I had the Pozole, the meat was D'lish and extremely tender, a clear winner of the afternoon. We also ordered the Chile Relleno, Chorizo con huevo and a Carne Asada Burrito... all tasty and good!
