I heard some good reviews from this establishment and decided to bring my pup to get his haircut. I had set time aside from my busy schedule being I'm a nurse and verified with whom I ever spoke to that my days off are Mondays and Wednesdays but was looking for a first appointment to get his cut done. To accommodate with the groomers schedule I offered to schedule in the future to see if that would work for them. Ultimately the groomer offered an appointment on an off date being Monday when she's closed and verified 3x on the time and date this appointment would take place. Now I'm here on 06/21 at 9:30am waiting for a damn hour, because I came early around 9am to be punctual. Anyone looking to make an appointment here please look else where since the owner clearly doesn't know her own schedule nor how to properly schedule. Ohhhhh my goodness!! Terrible, Terrible, Trickery! We called to make an appointment and to get a quote for our two dogs. Our two dogs are a Bichon-Lhasa Apso and a Terrier mix, they told us that regular price was about $35 on the phone for each dog. We show up with the dogs and all of a sudden the regular cost for grooming is $65 for the small terrier and $80 for the Bichon and with the sale it's about $35 for the terrier and $40 for the Bichon. OVERLY PRICED!!!!! (and to knit pick, that math is wrong, $65/2=$32.50). If anyone takes their dog grooming, even occasionally, $35 is LITERALLY, regular price ANYWHERE ELSE!! At this point we should have said "no thanks" and walked out. But our dogs needed grooming so we settled. I began to explain that i did NOT want the fur to be shaved off completely and that I simply wanted the fur trimmed. A few minutes later they call me and say that the dogs fur was too thick and that the clippers would not trim properly, that they were going to give the dogs a summer cut, which means to shave most of the fur off of the dogs. So they did. When we got them back we were disappointed to see our dogs patchy and nicked by the clippers. You can see the path the clippers took on one of my dogs because she is white. My other dog is patchy in his private region and other parts of his little body. Sooo very unhappy! Both dogs got the same cut, in the end, and the price still varied and all they did was take the clippers to them. Even then they did a poor job. $80 bucks really!?!? for 1 small dog!! C'mon!!! Lastly we dropped the dogs off at 10:50 and got the call to pick them up at 4:07. Too much time away from my babies!! read more

1st time I took my baby girl was great she came out looking beautiful, however she didn't smell great. Made an apt for her on a Wednesday which is 1/2 off regular price. She is small to medium 9 pounds dog. 2nd time I took her when I walked in she was on her way out with a different owner!!! 1st of all I couldn't believe that the lady couldn't even recognize her own dog!! 2nd sucks that they got the dogs confused, they didn't even look the same just both have white coats! I didn't get to upset at the company because accidents happen but I'm thankful that my baby didn't go with wrong owner. Maybe I'm not too upset of the fact because she didn't go with the wrong owner. They gave me a free flea dip for her for the next time. So I took her back and everything was fine. 3rd time was about to give her to wrong owner AGAIN so after that no 4th time. read more

There isn't enough time of enough words to say exactly how BAD this place is. So they have HUGE signs up stating that you get 1/2 off grooming on Tuesdays and Wednesday's. That sounds awesome. Well I call to see how much grooming is. $75-80 for my Doodle. Okay that's about average. That's what I pay pretty much everywhere. So ask to book an appointment for either Tuesday or Wednesday during the 1/2 price special. This is where it all goes NUTS. The lady tells me that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays the grooming price would be $180-$190 and I would get 1/2 off that price. . Well for the math wizards out there. That would be $90-$95 for a grooming on my doodle. That's MORE then I was quoted on the non-discount days. Can we say SCAM, how about bait and switch. This is just madness. They advertise 1/2 off but yet it costs more on the 1/2 off day. I tried to file with the better business bureau. Turns out they aren't registered with them. Figures. My next step is going to be a call out to the state weights and measures dept and see what they say about this. Not sure if they actually have any say when it comes to dog grooming or not. I sure hope so. DO NOT take your pet here. DO NOT buy a pet from here. Oh, did I mention that the lady in the grooming area had me talk to a gentleman when I told her I didn't understand why it would cost more. Well this gentleman had a heavy accent and was a bit difficult to understand. Well he was RUDE. I mean super RUDE. He kept telling me that if he offered a "real 1/2 price" then he would no money and he owns a business and needs to make money. Ya he basically admitted it was a total scam. I am appalled by this business. I hope people read this review and think twice about ever doing business here. Also if you are looking for a GOOD groomer. Message me. SO UPSET!!! Took Kahlua to MR. BULLDOG in Pico Rivera to be groomed. Told them I wanted him to have a Yorkie summer cut. This is what they did, they FREAKING SHAVED HIM!!! & charged me $60.00 Please support Kahlua in boycotting this groomer & not take your babies there for ANY service. When I complained about it I was told the owner was out to lunch I would have to call later when HE returned & was offered a free flea dip. HE DOESNT GET OR HAVE FLEAS!! I called & spoke to owner, HE said he's the owner of store not grooming. Make sense? NO! I took my other Yorkie Taylor there all the time & he NEVER was given such a MESSED UP cut!! KAHLUA UPDATE: Went & spoke to groomer regarding Kahlua's grooming. Before the groomer came out to talk, Her outstanding, nice employee explained to me what blade guard is used when giving a summer cut (7), innocently being honest with me & I thanked her. The groomer on the other hand told me she used a 10 guard not 7 thus making the cut shorter & gave the employee the meanest look when I shared what she told me. The groomer out right lied, she knew the moment she used the size 10 guard she made a mistake, & had no choice but to finish the cut with it. Reluctantly, I was given half refund back. The next day I noticed a scrap on his chest, she also cut him. I don't think she's educated in dog grooming she just thinks it's as easy to do as making a bed. SO WRONG! I have been coming here for many years & have brought my many babies throughout the years here. Before they used to give amazing hair cuts but recently they have been messing up terribly. I took 2 of my babies here a few months back & they came back with haircuts that looked horrible. Their ears were messed up along with their faces. They weren't shaped properly. So I went back with 1 of babies yesterday, giving them the benefit of the doubt & she came back like this. Ears uneven, face totally cut down & even came back with a few red spots. Took my husky German Shepard mix to get groomed for the first time on Wednesday and when I picked up my poor baby 4 hours later she looked like a jacked up poodle it was awful I was in shock. Once I got home my poor puppy took down 2 whole bowls of water in less than 5 minutes which means they must not have given her any the entire time she was there. I later learned after the shock wore off that you are never supposed to completely shave this breeds coat. I was in tears I felt awful. I then called to give my concerns that their groomer may end up ruining another dogs coat an all the girl said was mam I told u it was going to be short. I have a long haired dog this isn't short she is practically bald. She never took ownership of their mistake instead she just kept being rude and blaming me. The convo was going in circles so I then asked for her name and she got attitude yet again she said Lauren an I said lauren what ?she said Lauren took me asking 3 times to finally get her last name. I was so angry I decided to call seacca and the county .I also got feedback after the fact from other customers multiple dogs Have been stolen from this establishment and it was pretty weird and disgusting that I was the first customer to arrive as they opened the door and there were 3 little puppies left ovEr night in kennels with yellow water in their water bowls. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! been bringing my dog here for a groom for about 2years. An incident happen with my finance and a coworker due to them having confusion about when my dog needed to be picked up. WE WORK! and couldn't get him so he had to be in day care. ANYWAYS made a appointment over the phone gave them my info and they gave me a confirmation. Day of appointment they tell me they can take my dog due to the last innocent that had happen!? Why would they make an appointment over the phone make me drive to the appointment? Why wasn't it mentioned over the phone? Not to mention I live in Dimond bar! And work in Whittier so, I had to drive back home then back! Also, how is there never a manager on duty? when an issue comes up and you need to speak to someone higher than a girl that doesn't know how to even talk to a person without looking down. I asked for a manager and there was no one to speak to. There were 3 girls on the floor and no one seemed to help me out nor even care about my situation I have referred so many family and friends and this is really disappointing to me. Potential Bulldog Owners, please do your homework before purchasing one and educate yourself on the breed before you decide to own one, financially they might not be the right fit for you. First, Mr Bulldog, does not have a huge selection of Bulldogs to sell at one time, so the pet store name is a bit misleading. Each time I have walked in, there are maybe 2 to 4 Bulldogs in the store, the rest are usually smaller breed dogs like Yorkshires and Cockapoos. We purchased 1 of our Bulldogs from here over 2 years ago (See photos I uploaded) and we are very happy with the little fat guy. Great temperament, personality and good around people. He grew up to be a great looking Bulldog with big head, big paws and smelly farts. I think where this pet store lacks is in the education given to potential Bulldogs owners. Obviously, Pet Stores want to sell dogs, make their money and get them out the door, but you shouldn't do that with Bulldogs. They are naturally born with genetic defects that can effect your Bulldogs health and this store should educate its customers to avoid future problems. I say this because, the day I was purchasing our Bulldog, a lady was in there complaining about the health of her recently purchased Bulldog and its breathing, which is a common problem for Bulldogs, but the Owner was not fully educating her on these issues, had a communication problem with her, end up getting frustrated, had an argument and eventually offered to just take the Bully back. Like I said, It is much more than just having Bulldogs for sale. If you purchase a Bulldog and they have health problems, you need to see a Bulldog Specialist (Here are two recommended Vets: Dr Kraemer-Grand Pet Care in Santa Ana & Dr Butchko in Riverside-Yelp Them). Trust me most local Vets or Vets at Petco are just general Vets and not fully educated on Bulldog related issues and may misdiagnose your Bully. I have owned 3 Bulldogs, each of the Bulldogs have had a problem that needed corrective surgeries for their health benefits. Here are a list of problems you might run into with a Bulldog: Elongated Soft Palate, Pinched Nares (nostrils), Entropan (where the eyelids grow inside instead of out), digestive problems requiring special diets, skin allergies and Bullys are very sensitive to heat and prone to heat stroke-YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP YOUR BULLY INDOORS WITH AIR CONDITIONING DURING THE SUMMER. The majority of the corrective surgeries cost between $800-1200. So take that into consideration when buying a Bulldog. Whether it is a private sale or a purchase from a Pet Store, you can expect to pay $1,500 to $2,600 for a Bulldog Puppy. Prices really depend on the Bully's breed line, markings, skin color and general features. I truly think anything more than $2,600 is on the high side and Mr Bulldog can be on the high with some of his Bullys. read more

First off, the ratings extending 5 stars to this business sound rather suspicious. Almost too good, rather a review that either an employee or someone with a vested interest may have written. Secondly, my two-star rating is not so much in regards to the service as it reflects the concealed ill-health that some of their bulldogs suffer from. While visiting I personally saw several bulldogs that had various types of surgeries (cherry-eye; hernia). Possibly, this may or may not be disclosed to the potential buyer, however the prices attached to these poor dogs did not reflect it. Within the first two years after purchasing my bulldog from this pet shop, my bulldog's vet bills easily reached $6,000.00. After three years, I've reached a total of $8,000.00. Keep in mind, this does not include the $2,400.00 that I paid for her. Suffers(ed) from allergies, entropian, ectopic cilia, megaesophagus, head tremors and an inverted tail. Lastly, I can't shake the possibility that some of these bulldogs are products of inbreeding and/or over-breeding. This may or may not be the case; however, do your homework. Bulldogs are the most expensive breed of dog to maintain. read more

So mean here and very rude. I came here looking for an English bull dog for my dad and the man working at the time was of no use. I asked him if he had any white Bulldogs and he said "no." Without even looking at me and went back to reading his paper. So I asked how much is he selling the dogs for and he said 3,000 (again without even looking) so I left and took business elsewhere When you walk in, there are dogs with PARVOVIRUS INFECTION (parvo) and they're labeled and discounted :c It was hot that day to and they had the lights out and a fan blowing in the doorway. A week before christmas I had brought my dogs here for pet grooming, a cocker spaniel, a shitzu, and a chihuahua, and and my cocker spaniel and chihuahua ended up getting Parvo from this place. The vet we brought them to had confirmed that it was this place because there is a one week incubation period to where it becomes active in the dogs body and it was exactly one week after their groomings. We ended up paying an arm and a leg to keep our dogs alive and thankfully they made it. We called mr. Bulldog to inform them of our situation and they never returned our calls. I do not recommend this place to anyone because of its unsanitary environment, after all who knows what other diseases and scams they have going on in this place. UPDATE: my baby passed away this evening, right before her six month birthday. HORRIBLE. My beautiful five month old English bulldog was a gift for my fiancé. We learned at her very first vet appointment she has a stage five heart murmur. Six being the most life threatening. The breeder knew her mother suffered from severe health problems and bred her anyway. My dog has a life expectancy of two years, potentially four if she makes it out of the heart surgery recommended, with a 50% success rate. Me. Bulldog has not followed through on their word, reimbursed the promised cost and a half of my puppy and is unresponsive when pressed with the disappointing and disturbing truth that is their business. I've been needing to write on this review. Initially bought my dog here and the grooming was great in the beginning. They do a swell job, but my family and I began to notice our doggie would shake when we would take him in. We had no idea why he was doing that? Turns out, he developed a bad cough, took him to the vet and come to find out through X-ray that his cough developed because of being pulled by the leash. So, the vet asked if we walk him with a leash attached to the collar. Which we do not walk him with a leash attached to his collar, because we have a harness for him. He was being abused by the people who groomed him and we had no Idea. Our poor doggie had really bad kennel cough for weeks. But he recovered and I suggest for everyone to take your dogs to be groomed elsewhere. It's your choice, but if you love your dog, think about their well-being. read more
