Mr. C's is only convenient if you live or work in the Grosse Pointes or Harper Woods. I have never been to the location in Clinton Township. I bought a membership for several months but canceled it. I now go to a more modern automatic car wash. I mainly went to the location on Mack Avenue and a few times to the one in Harper Woods. If you have a membership you can go to any location. The lines at the Mack location were long. It took too much time to have workers jot down your membership ID and wait to pull in to have more workers spray your windshield with water and soap before entering the car wash I didn't like having workers wipe down my car. I'd rather go through an automatic car wash dryer. I think they were too rough and broke my rear windshield wiper. Even though Mr. C's offered to replace it, I don't think they knew how to install it properly. I still had to go to a dealership to have it properly replaced. You have to pay extra for a worker to clean the interior of your vehicle or wash your floor mats. I'd also rather do all of this myself at a car wash that offers free vacuums and mat cleaners. The car wash I go to now has a cheaper membership and offers free vacuums and air compressor to clean mats. read more

This is an expensive way to get a below average car wash with fast and friendly service. I don't mind the price (seems in line with the rest of GP), but it is simply a poor value for the service received. After learning that an interior/exterior wash is simply an exterior with the windows cleaned, I specifically asked for the dash and cup holders to be done. Outstanding customer service. I recently visited from out of town and took my wife's vehicle in for a wash. I forgot to put my wife's car in car wash mode and the rain sensing windshield wipers engaged. The manager was quick to engage and try to correct the issue. When he realized he couldn't, he routed me to the nearest Mercedes dealership for replacement windshield wipers. He told me to have the dealership call him and he would cover any expense for the replacement wipers! Then, 2 days later, my father took my mothers car in for a wash and thought he lost his phone @ the car wash. When he returned to the car wash the same manager went above and beyond again by pulling video footage to see if he could isolate when my father may have misplaced his phone. Terrible! The washing of the outside of my car was fine, it was what was NOT done on the inside that I have an issue with. It looked like nothing was wiped down. For the second time in a row (and believe me there wont be a third time) I had to ask for someone to wipe down my dashboard and entertainment screen. They had not been touched. And even after it was wiped down, not a word of thanks. No "have a nice day" or anything. I paid almost $40 for a third rate car wash, it will not happen again. read more

I was not aware that I left my I Phone on the top of my SUV before it went into the car wash. When I got home I turned on "find my phone" on my I Pad. It indicated the phone was still at the car wash. I went back to Mr. C's and spoke to Sam, the GM. Sam helped me look for the phone in the lobby and entrance of the car wash. No luck! Sam took my information and told me he would call me if it turned up. At 6:15 PM I got a call from Sam. He told me to call my I Phone and he heard the phone ringing but couldn't locate it. Sam asked if I would come down to the car wash and we could look for it. Sam put on boots and pulled up the grates covering the floor of the car wash floor. I dialed the number and he heard the ringing and found my phone. This was customer service that went way above the call of duty!! Sam Wright is a real asset to Mr. C's!. Mr C's is a well run family establishment. I've been mostly happy every visit. Only once did I feel they did a rush job but after making a call all was made better when I returned the day after to have it cleaned again. I love the oddities you find here. My former review was removed. Avoid at all costs. Managenent is rude and some of the workers steal from your vehicle. Carpets do not get fully vacuumed. Also, why am I paying 40.00 plus tip when they aren't even wiping out the door jambs? Have done business at this establishment for twenty plus years. I pointed out all the bugs on the front end to the woman writing up our work order- she didn't add it as she indicated it won't be a problem... But, they didn't get the bugs!! Today I paid 26.00 for the inside/outside on my car. When my hubs came home with the car sent him back to tell them no, I am not asking for a detail job I am asking for a clean car inside and out. The second time I saw the car I realized I am asking the impossible from these people. They obviously do have adequate equipment to do regular jobs such as vacuuming and wiping down of the vehicle. In the spirit of spreading human kindness, I wanted to give a shout out to the manager, Danny at Mr. C's Car Wash on Mack Ave. We went through the car wash this past Friday and only noticed today a piece of trim (that was already loose) missing off our car. My hubs called and asked if they found our chrome piece and they looked and thought maybe they had it. We went straight up there only to find out it wasn't the piece we were looking for...Danny asked for our number just in case it was found. So my husband and I retraced our steps since Friday, driving to every parking lot and street trying to find it. Nothing. We got a call a few hours later from Danny saying he went and looked at the video footage (didn't know there was such a thing?!?) and saw that the piece was on our car going IN TO the car wash and when our car came OUT of the 'blower area' section it was gone...so he went to that particular area and found our missing trim piece and called us! Yay!!! He went out of his way and when we went to give him money, he refused and said "no thank you, I'm just doing my job!" My hubs asked, "what can we do to thank you?" Save your money. Got the $12 wash. Saw a crew member power wash the right front wheel but they failed to get minor road dust off the other three wheels. Either do a great job or don't. Manager says we should've paid an extra six dollars to get the wheels clean. Then why attempt to power wash just one of them? I only came here because the location on harper was closed due to repairs. They did a HORRIBLE job drying my car. My side view mirrors weren't even blown out like the other location does. I only got an outside wash, yet the harper location spends a great deal of time drying my car utilizing 2 or 3 employees. I had an older man spend approximately 30 seconds drying my car. Not impressed at all. Even though I got the most expensive package my truck was delivered to me as if whoever cleaned it didn't care (see pictures). The outside and back seat were good. But the front was not paid attention to. I was already upset because the cashier over charged me for an item, and when I brought it up she made me get back in line! Seriously? They do great job and pay attention to details. We also had the special car detail here and we were happy with the job they did. I just got an exterior wash and it was fine. How can one mess that up? They were fast, too. I paid, sat down for a couple minutes and they were already calling me to my car. I don't recommend anyone to go here! I paid for the "Bill's wash" for $30. I was so upset that I told the attendant that my truck was still dirty she went and got a dirty towel and half wiped it! I am a regular at Mr. C's and I noticed the price's for your services have gone up, but the performance declining! I'm not one to complain but for the amount you charge, i shouldn't have to go over and clean my car when i get home. I just left the 26 mile Washington Twp MI. location and noticed most of my inside wasn't either cleaned well or even touched at all. The back seat, the floors left with loose dirt and the seats as well. The back of the driver and passenger seats still have the dirt marks on them. The mats not cleaned. Same with the 3rd row. The trunk wasn't vacuumed. My rims were left with gunk. I had to take a towel to them to clean them when I noticed the rest of my rims were bad and just got so upset. I paid $25 for an interior and exterior clean and I definitely didn't get my money's worth. This is unacceptable especially considering the price increase. I don't mind paying a little extra but when I expect a clean car and I actually get worse? I'm a very busy person with 3 kids and full time job, and all i want is a clean car and good service and not to just waste my money. I've attached some pics to prove it. I always go here and get the $15 dollar wash and they do a good job and are fast but they might miss a spot.

As the quality of the wash goes down, so should the price. I was thoroughly satisfied with the exterior wash the inside of the car was not to my liking. This is becoming "the usual." Half ass jobs bother me more than something completely ignored. For example, as I watched the new person being shown how to wipe a dashboard, my concern started to grow because I just couldn't fathom someone being shown that. BUT, the exemplary shine of that wash distracted me from paying close attention once I got in. The glass on the instrument panel was clean but dust surrounded it. SURROUNDED IT! And that person didn't even touch my radio console. It's not a touchscreen at all. That was my fault that I didn't go back but $24 is a lot of money to only get a wash and light vacuuming.
