If it was the year 2000, I'd gladly recommend this car wash. However, each year that has passed, the service and quality of the wash has declined. They don't vacuum the interior very thoroughly. They "wipe" the dash, but nothing really looks "clean" when they're done with it. I know it's not a detail, but they give half effort to even wipe surfaces. I'd rather just take the 30-60 minutes out of my day to wash my car myself. read more

I shouldn't have to clean my car after spending $40.00 to have my interior cleaned. What a crappy job. I paid extra to have my mats cleaned and they only looked wet. Not clean. Another Sunday to get errands done and it would not start off right without a Mr. C's car wash. The line was not long at all we were there at opening 10 AM and we were spread through very quickly. The staff is kind and respectful of the vehicles. There are security monitors and supervisors also. Everyone seems to communicate well. Wish I could rate this place higher as our family has been using this location for years as east-siders. As a full-service auto wash one would think "they can drive all types of vehicles" think again, if you have 3 pedals, you'll be stuck standing outside while your vehicle is detailed. Maybe consider knocking a couple of bucks off of the service if I have to drive my car because your employees cannot. Unacceptable as an automotive business, in the motor city no less. read more

My first review on this was flagged/removed, because apparently I didn't give enough information to prove that it was my personal experience. On Saturday, January 22nd, I visited this location, and while I was waiting to pay, my vehicle was nearly struck by another car in the adjacent lane who had pulled too far into the garage without stopping. The employee helping me went over to that vehicle and spoke with the driver, then came back to me and said "sorry about that, he's been drinking". Incredulous, I asked if anything was going to be done and was told "no, he's fine now". I couldn't believe such a reckless attitude towards a drunk driver. I couldn't go anywhere but forwards, so while I was in the carwash, I called 911 and reported the drunk driver, who was still in front of me. The cops said they'd send someone immediately, but by the time I exited the car wash, the employees were already letting this guy pull away in his car. It would not have been hard to 'detain' him, they simply needed to not open the garage door and he would've been stuck there. I called 911 again to say that the guy was getting away - he was back on the street by this time, driving erratically. I ended up following him into the parking lot of the nearby Kroger and gave the police a vehicle description and license plate number (he had parked). I hope they caught up with him. In case there is still any ambiguity ***this was my personal experience as a customer of the business***. I was told by an employee that the driver was intoxicated, the driver's actions in front of me were those of an intoxicated driver, and I also witnessed the employees shrugging off the incident. I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I've been coming here for years for a regular wash and inside vacuum when necessary. However, as of late my truck has become additional transportation for a growing landscaping business (long story) so it is literally covered in grass. The worst part about this place is the lack of conflict resolution portrayed by the "GM". When calmly confronted about the poor quality car wash that left scratches he immediately raised his voice and began shouting. Even this wash was subpar. The workers are either not trained properly or they just don't care about doing their job. The staff is friendly and very proactive! For the amount of detail work they do on vehicles (both outside and inside), they are able to maintain quality work in proficient time. I paid $32 for "Bill's Best" wash selection, and I was quite happy with the end result! Of the Mr. C's care wash locations, this is the better one that I would prefer and recommend. read more

I called the Mr. C's Car Wash on Harper at 8:30 this morning. The manager told me that they were opening until 9:00 am because of the rain this morning. I explained . I had to be at work by nine and I had been offering at an event all weekend so there was mud on my jeep. And I was concerned about it getting on my scrubs when I got in and out of my vehicle. He let me come in right away even though they were going to open late and did an amazing job on my vehicle. I believe that you pay for what you get. I pay over $30 for Bill's Best (and always leave between $10-20 bucks for a tip) which include the works. Once my car is finished, I shouldn't have to point out things the workers missed either because they were in a hurry because it may have been busy or just being negligent. For example, spraying all the windows inside of the vehicle, but not wiping the smallest window in the back; which typically isn't noticed until arriving home, half wiping the backseats with residue from the spray, or not thoroughly cleaning the car mats; which is an additional cost for this service. So, they've turned me into an inspector prior to leaving with my vehicle. I must say, that they've always been very polite when I point something out that had been missed and need to be corrected. read more

I used to love living near Mr. C's. Now I avoid them Like the plague. (a) The staff has been incredibly rude in the last 6 months or so. They seem to have hired a lot of inner city people that have no clue what customer service is. They yell at you to hurry up, roll their eyes when you ask a question and 3 times now I've asked about getting my carpet shampooed and they say they don't do that! I thought Mr C 's being in the Pointes, justified their higher prices with the fact they had great customer service. STOP HIRING RUDE THUGS FROM DETROIT!! One would think I have kids or I am hauling animals in my golden chariot. Nope just the usual yet somehow my car managed to get trashed over the past year. My husband because hes so sweet got me a gift card to have my chariot detailed. AWESOME!! I called Mr. C's and they set up my appointment for the next day. I dropped my car of bright and early and a few hours later my chariot was ready to fly. Heres the best part. It started to rain. I didn't have a ride there to get there before they closed early due to the weather. OH GREAT. Now what am I going to do! Have no fear! Danny and Michael not only made sure my car looked and smelled amazing they BROUGHT my car to me! WHAT!! Yes Thats right! They brought me my car! I mean how nice is that. What service!! I explained to them on the phone I was stranded until after 5 and they made sure I had my car right away. When my golden chariot rolled up in my driveway even though wet from the rain I could tell he had a new sparkle and the interior! Holy smokes! They clean well usually. Only thing I hate is that they don't always use the blower to get he water out of your rear view mirrors. Ya get home and you've got dried water stains all over the side of ya car. I didn't pay 23.99 (or whatever, it was expensive) for dried water stains. I know this for certain because another car was applied with an enhanced wax spray and never saw my car getting the same treatment. The car that did receive the treatment arrived at least 10 minutes before mine and my car came out first. Overall, took about 5 minutes to wash my car. Inside of car looked like it was barely touched except for mats, which were washed. Overall, underwhelming (and incomplete) service considering the hefty price. read more

Paid $149.00 for a detail which was suppose to include a inside shampoo of the seats. Well my seats were never shampooed they were sprayed and wiped with a cloth. Seat belts were not cleaned, I was told that they only wipe the buckle, I found one of my grandbabies barrettes in the back seat and was asked where did you find that??? My car was already clean I mainly wanted a fresh smell and a complete and thorough vacuum because of the animal fur, they had to re-vacuum while I waited. I have had 2 bad experiences in a row I took my wife's car through about a month ago and when I got home the front rims still had heavy brake dust on them that easily wiped off it was like it never went through the car wash and this last week I took my truck there because some pop got spilled on the dash and the car needed to be washed where the pop had spilled it wasn't touched and I still had many spots on the outside of the car that had areas with dirt still on it I ended up taking it to the quarter car wash and washing it a second time. read more
