So I call the tow company MR.C Towing they straight lied and said the Manager/property owner called to tow my car which is a lie. I asked the manager she said she didnt call i was just there to help real quick. So they lied about who called and said they have a contract with the building but wouldn't answer who called because if the contract specifically says who can call to tow a car in private property then they F UP! Terrible business. I was new to the area and parked next door to my gym at a retail store parking lot around 10pm. The retail store was not open. I live 4 minutes from this gym, and I was in the gym for 40 minutes and my car was towed. I called and to find out the tow yard is 35 minutes + away. Also, there were 2 other vehicles in the same lot as I was before I parked there. Neither of the two cars present before mine were towed. It's obvious I was targeted because I actually have a nice vehicle. I called before my car even arrived at the tow yard to find out that I would be charged $410 to pick up at that time, or $330 if I wait to pick up after 8am. This is without a doubt a predatory tow company . Vehicle code 22953 states that if a property has free parking open to the public than a vehicle can be towed after it has been improperly parked for one hour !!! My car was towed within 20 minutes ! The shopping center lot it was towed from had an incorrect sign in the front entrance with no number on it and language stating that cars may be towed . Of course mr cs sign was strategically placed in the back end of the shopping center Hands down the most worst , most scum ridden tow company in LA . They are a scam!!! They are not professional at all. I had my car towed to their lot and had to pay way too much over 300$ just to tow my car and have it sitting in their lot for just two hours. I have the receipts that show even the times it got towed to when I took it. Then when I asked why is the price too high he threatens to keep the car and make me pay more if I don't pay...I didn't even say I wasn't going to pay I simply asked a question. After I received the receipt I realized he added extra charges to up the price. This company, towed our car, out of our gated community during a pandemic even though the parking pass was in plain sight. They left the warning notice at 3:10am then towed the car 15 minutes later. They "claimed" that the car had been in the same spot over a week, but they are "suppose" to patrol inside our community nightly. We had to produce time stamped receipts to prove that our car was moved multiple time on various days. We did fight this injustice and were reimbursed 2 months later. When I went to the tow yard and pointed this out to them, the driver at the window changed his story several times and then finally said "I don't know, I only do police impound tows". Someone was parked in my spot and as directed by management the whole 2.5 years of living here I called Mr.C's. I spoke with a very RUDE and unhelpful girl named Bonnie who repeatedly told me that I cannot speak with a supervisor and also I have to call my management office (which is closed) in order to deal with a car in my parking spot. The protocol is to ask my name apartmen address and space number then send out a truck however Bonnie's rude ass must not be properly trained for her job as a dispatcher and proceeded to be rude saying call back after 9am or wait until my management office opens up & hang up the phone. Makes no sense because for one it's 24hrs and at 8:30am i should be able to speak to somebody else who can help. So today at 11:50 my daughters car got towed by Manuel Medina who works for Mr.C's towing. My daughter had parked across the street on an empty parking lot and was there for about 15 minutes because on my street there is no parking available. She had just came to drop off some stuff I needed due to a family emergency and when I walked her out literally at 12:00 her car was gone. A nice neighbor told us it has literally just been towed by this company so we immediately got in my car and drove to the place. We got there and her car wasn't even there yet. My daughter has been out of a job due to covid and multiple family members have been affected by covid and money is definitely tight. This place charged us $340.00 for towing fees, Labor fee's, storage fee's and gate fee's when in fact my daughters car was not even there when we got there. Her car was towed at 11:50 and we where at that place by 12:15 latest. The tow truck driver damaged wiring harness: front bumper harness/and repair connector with 4 pins. when my daughter picked up her car the steering was locked/stuck the tow truck driver helped her &drove it. My suv was towed from inside of a gated apartment complex.
