I'm a snowbird from Seattle and was looking for a place to get my hair cut while living down in Indio. I was having dinner at Victoria's cafe (great restaurant BTW) when the owner of Mr Cutz walked in and asked when I had last had my hair cut. I told him it had been a couple of months and that I was due, so he suggested that I checkout his barber shop. I made an appointment that week and had an excellent experience. The shop has a cool vibe. Everyone was super personable, even the patrons coming in. I felt totally at home and got a great haircut and eyebrow trim. I can now say that this will be my barber shop while my home is in Indio. I would highly recommend checking them out. read more

We had a family outing and took our 3 year old son to get his first haircut here along with his daddy. It was a great experience! Super cool and friendly. His hair was really long and had beautiful curls at the ends. Was worried about getting so much cut at once but he did so good! They put a movie on for the kids and even had a little certificate and saved the first hair locks. Little sister just had to get her "hair cut" too since big brother did. And she loved it! This place was amazing, if I lived here I would have a fave spot. I live back East but coming here made me utter the statement " these guys are better than my barber back home". I loved the ability to call them on the number listed and they actually answer the call. I called two places before them. When I called I wondered if they did Black hair, they said "yep, no problem". I came in, the music was bumping videos on the Telly and I sat down and got an amazing cut. I should have taken a pic, sorry, I owe you guys. While there I saw customers coming and going and they all seemed pleased. A guy brought the cutest lil guy, his son and imma tell you, that barber made that kid's hair sing. Exceptional work by you all. I even took a screen shot of the Yelp page and sent to my FB group that I was in town to meet up with for an anniversary to invite them all to get a cut if they needed it. Pros: People that know how to cut hair, great atmosphere and genuine barbers. Cons: It was hard to find it. I came in as a walk in and a first timer because I was working Coachella and I came at the right time that Alex took me immediately and he was fast and the price was reasonable ($20). It was hard to find and when I found it the front door wasn't open. So I go through the back and I felt like I was in a barbershop speakeasy lol. Pretty cool hidden gem and chill out spot. I used to get my hair cut at Mr. Cutz about 5 years ago. Jr. was the guy that always cut my hair, he does an amazing job. Better than any barber I've ever been to. One day I had texted him to set up an appointment for a cut, but he never responded. I even texted him the following day, but still nothing. I have no idea what happened. I always tipped him well. I had to find another barber. Such a disappointment because I really enjoyed going there. read more

Overall this is a great shop, the price is reasonable and the skill here is the best around. If you have a busy schedule they are punctual on their appointments and get you out in a timely manner. I have 2 young boys and being a single mother is hard knowing which barbershop to take my kids to. My kids are 9 and 13, they now want specific haircuts! and i did not know who was able to do them. We walked in Mr. Cutz and I am so glad Andy cut their hair. He did an amazing job and my kids couldn't be happier to go back to school with their new haircuts.
