Brought car to have windows tinted, they told me that bubbles would go away in a couple days. Call them a couple days later and they say wait a week. I call a week later and let them know there are huge fluid bubbles in the windows. They tell me wait another week and blast the heater on high and park the car in the sun. Two weeks later still a bunch of fluid trapped in the tint. Expensive lesson to not go here again. read more

I brought my car in to Mr Detail, requested for them to restore my headlights. When I got the car back the restoration had not been completed, and in some places they left heavy sanding grit marks on my headlights. They told me it was impossible to fix because the UV damage goes all the way through. I paid for the service anyways because I like people to get paid for their work when they make an honest effort, even when things don't work out as planned. The photos captioned "Mr. Detail's" show what the headlights looked like when Mr Detail was done with them. Later when I sold the car I find out they did not make an honest effort. The buyer, who was intent on flipping the car, restored the headlights himself. He said it was a simple restoration job. The other two photos show the headlights finally polished, proving that it was in fact possible and Mr Detail did not make any effort to finish the job and still charged me anyways. Be careful, they will skip a task and still charge you for it. If anything seems like it was not completed, you should not have to pay for it. Do not believe their excuses. read more

I'm so happy with how my car turned out! I forgot to take a before photo but it was a disaster before. The employee who detailed my car was super nice as well! He told me he might have to keep my car overnight which originally wasn't going to work for me and he said he'd try his best. He ended up contacting me pretty soon after saying he could have it done by 4 the same day. I ended up just saying I could wait until the next day and not to sweat it, but I was so appreciative that they were able to be flexible like that! The whole thing looks so awesome and the price was totally fair- I did a medium clean but there are even cheaper options if you don't need as deep of a clean. Overall I'm so happy with how my car looks and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking! read more

I had not washed my Jeep for a very long time and the exterior was very dirty. Inside there was an issue with dampness and mold was starting to appear. Last year I decided to upgrade to a polish and wax service and was amazed at the noticeable difference. My car always looked great according to my neighbors, but the polishing made it look like a car still on the dealer's showroom floor. I now wax my car once a year and Mr. Detail does it twice. Mr. Detail Ballard has great service. There is no hard sell. I go in, we talk about my objectives, the manager looks at my car, and we talk about the best option for me. It's a bit pricey, but the service was great and worth it. I made an appointment later in the day and was forewarned it would likely need to stay overnight, which wasn't a problem and helped manage my expectations. Chris was very friendly and upfront about needing to charge extra for the bug removal (after a cross-country road trip) prior to me leaving the car. He was also able to throw in a quick vacuum for $25 during a very busy day since I skipped on the interior detail services. The results of the exterior detail were top notch, and I think my car was cleaner after going here than when I bought it last year. Will definitely come back. read more

These guys used to do an extremely great job, but the last few months it seems like they're too busy to do any kind of quality job. I dropped my car off at 9am, was told it'd be ready at 4pm, and that I'd get a call. At 5pm I still hadn't gotten a call and my calls to them were unanswered. I showed up and was told the car was ready to go. The car was quite clean to begin with but I still ordered a mid interior and exterior detail to ensure it got the full treatment. While inspecting the car, it was obvious the full front, frunk, and cup holders had been completely missed. The staff member wiped down the frunk, but said I would need to schedule a follow up for them to address all the other issues they missed since he was the only one there. Living an hour away and with their schedule being booked several weeks out, that wasn't a helpful option. Pretty disappointed in what used to be my favorite detail shop. read more

My jackass neighbor decided to spray paint my car, as retribution for parking in front of his house all weekend. Yes, it was less than 72 hours, and I did come out several times each day to try to find a different spot (March Madness). Chris and his team worked me into their schedule, and got all the paint off right away. They also repaired the paint, and gave my rig a gorgeous shine! Just picked up my car from the Ballard location that had a mid-interior detail and light external cleaning, and it turned out great. My car has beige cloth seats and they get stained really easily and the stains appear to be completely gone after this service. We also have a black dog who's fur gets everywhere and shows up really easily against the beige interior and after driving home I only noticed maybe a couple hairs remaining, which I'm happy with. Lastly, the exterior wasn't too dirty to start with but after this light clean it looks brand new. Overall, super pleased with the service and pricing and will for sure be coming back. read more

I got it Mid Interior detail done yesterday ( April 23rd 2021). My car is clean to start with. it had dust build up and truck had some dirt (very minor) due to my road bike. Please see pictures to know what level or ridiculous service they provide. There was un touched and uncleaned surfaces everywhere. I talked to the person there and they said that is what we get with mid level cleaning. he was nice about it, but basically said this is what max detailing they can do with mid level, if I wanted more I should buy heavy detailing. I emailed the customer care but haven't received response. Wish they would at least have vacuumed the car properly if not anything ! And I was very annoyed with ridiculous response that "thats the max they can clean!" I normally don't post reviews but this experience and poor level of service just topped off any bad service experience ! Lets see if anyone responds to my email. I will update you! read more

Excellent service & quality work - truly. I was SOOOO impressed going to Mr. Detail. From the beginning, it was an amazing experience. After being back in my hometown for ~4 months, I came back to my poor car that was left in the snow and rain to find mold everywhere in my car. When I called to share that that was what I'd be bringing to them, they were so professional and expressed that this was very common. After arriving, Chris came out and took a look at my car and shared that it was going to require that they 'gut' the car. Chris was so great about guiding me through the process, especially considering I had never dealt with something like this before. He immediately shared that I should reach out to insurance and sent me over pictures of my car to send to them for my claim. Throughout the entire time, Chris kept me up to date on the process and was super flexible about pick up/drop off times. I picked my car up after less than a week and was so impressed with the results. To top it all off, a week later I reached out to Chris to ask for advice on getting rid of residual odor/smell and he immediately offered for me to come back in and have them run a few different deodorizer through my car. Picked it up a day later and everything looked beautiful! So, so impressed with the entire experience. I was really looking forward to getting my car detailed and I was told I could drop it off the night before my appointment (before they close at 6pm as they don't have a key drop box). I left work early so I could be there by 5:30 pm. When I arrived, the door was locked and nobody answered the phone. I left a message stating that I guess I have to cancel my appointment since nobody was there for me to give my keys to and my workday begins before they open in the morning. Nobody ever followed up with me, or offered an apology or a reschedule. I got an email the next morning stating that they canceled my appointment for me. I was going to easily spend a few hundred dollars here (mold damage - yay) but now I'd rather take my money somewhere else. Pretty disappointing. read more

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE!!! As a business owner I must say this guys has no shame whatsoever! I've called 3 weeks in advance to schedule appointment. When I called I was referred to the website for price list where I found 175$ for interior clean for my car. When called again to schedule I wanted to make sure that is the price but then I was told that is the price if I come in and if I want them to come to my location then it will be 250$. So I said "ok, I'll come to you for 175$" I arrived today on time just to realize there's no way to find this place. You end up driving in middle of downtown Seattle 9 am with all the traffic with no sign or anything that can tell where this business is. Remembering I had an email with the appointment info I opened it up to call for directions but there wasn't even a contact number in the email. Had to go to yelp messages to find the conversation then the business and calling all this while driving around 2 blocks in downtown. They don't even pick up till my 3rd call and after telling the guy on the phone how rude it is he just hang up on me and send me text with directions. Finally getting to the place met a nice guy working by himself. He did a decent job cleaning the card and then hand me with 247$ bill! If so why did I came to you and went through all this hassle??!!
