Be careful! I went to Mr. Fix it and an Eastern man told me the fee was $155 plus tax. I told him I had just read reviews that it was under 100 and he said: - "That's for a smaller phone" (even though one recent Yelp review said it was a 6, which I mentioned to him). - "We're the only ones in the area who will do it for you and all others you'll have to mail your phone. You'll loose all your data." (There are FOUR other locations that fix glass and that's just in the mall). - I asked if he had a price list and pointed out that even Apple was less than $100 and he said "Then go to Apple then. You gotta a problem? Talk to my boss about it." He was very rude and tried to make it seem as though no one would fix my phone in the area but him. I want to point out I was extremely polite to each comment and just walked away. I researched other places in the mall and to save time for others, this is what they told me: 136- Simply Mac (but they had no tech guy until Black Friday) 155- Mr. Fix It 160- Kiosk 1 145- Kiosk Cell ASX (no tax if you pay cash). So I went with Cell ASX. The Asian woman who helped me was polite, friendly, and efficient. I asked for her card so I could write an awesome review--- the card said "Mr. Fix It!" Morale of the story? If you get high balled at the store front desk, I guess go to the kiosk, cause depending on which place you go--- prices-- and service, will vary! My wife went in to have the camera screen fixed, after a little haggling on the price the repair was done correctly and promptly. The problem however was that on receiving the phone back a program had been installed called lawnchair. When asked about it the technician said the "phone must have updated". This is not how the phone behaves after and update and there was no record of an update. I have not found any other programs or software yet but this is completely unacceptable and very worrisome If you have any concern for your personal data at all avoid this place. read more

BEWARE - We brought our computer to Mr. Fix it to see what was wrong. It would not start up and we suspected that the mother board was burnt out. Mr. Fix it said they would look into it and call us back. They NEVER called. A couple of months went by. We didn't hear from them and to be honest, we have been busy. We returned and asked about our computer. Mr. Fix it claimed that he fixed it and would be $ 235 for the repair. We asked why he didn't call before repairing it and he claimed that he tried. All in all, we were fine with repairs and figured the price would be reasonable. I informed him that I would like to see the computer power up and work first, before payment. He said that was fine and to return before Friday of next week and he will have it ready. We returned this afternoon. As soon as Mr. Fix It saw us, he said we are all set and asked "Cash or Credit?". I asked to see the computer. He said that it was in his warehouse and can have it here in 15 min, then said that it was fixed, so I can pay it. I told him that I am not paying anything until I see the computer and that it is functional. We went to get our dinner at the food court and returned. His associate was bringing in the computer as we returned. Mr. Fix It connected the cords and pressed the power button. NOTHING HAPPENED!!! No power. He tried different outlets and then tested the power cords. The cords were fine and putting out electricity. He continued to try to power up and not even a flicker. Mr. Fix It then asked me to pay $ 125 now and he will have it ready tomorrow. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ??? He claimed he fixed it. It's wasn't even touched. He tried to argue that he called us about it. He NEVER did. Then admitted that he did not and apologized. We told him that he never touched it and don't want it "fixed" now. Mr. Fix It asked for $ 65 since he had it in his shop for so long. Fine, we paid it. Here's a question though. If he did so much work on it, which cost $ 235, then why would he be willing to part with it for $ 65 ? Total Scam. There's no other way to explain it. He also previously told us that if we didn't pick up the computer by Friday, that he would have it discarded and recycled. So, you did "all that work" and you're going to throw it away ? Again, very shady experience. I recommend to stay clear of this store. He has two stores in the Crystal mall, both are his, so beware..... UPDATE - Mall management discussed the concern with Mr. Fix It, for which they agreed to refund the money that we paid. read more

I've given this place lots of my $$$ in such a small time that I'm a little sick over it. They've repaired my phone twice & the last time I seriously messed it up. Instead of driving to the nearest Apple store (about an hour) I went to Mr Fix It & had it repaired in a half hour for $120. I thought my phone was done for after it smashed on my kitchen floor but they brought it back to life. My wife & 17 year old daughter have both broken their phones multiple times. My wife's seemed to not work well after & the Apple store said it voided the warranty as we had it fixed here. I brought it back to Mr Fix It but they claimed it was the case causing the problem. We saved some money bringing our phones here but ultimately Apple won't honor the warranty if they know/suspect it was fixed by a 3rd party. Ultimately I'm happy that they do the job quickly but wish it wasn't so damn expensive & caused issues with Apple. I'd recommend anyone to go to Apple instead but Mr Fix It will do an acceptable job if you need an iPhone repair. read more

My daughter took an iPhone X with a cracked phone here. He charged 100 down, $260 more when done, and said a new screen ( not an apple but as good, a real apple screen would cost 550) would be in in a few days and he would call us. After a week my wife went in and asked. He said it wasn't in yet. He would call. Don't call him. After 3 weeks my wife went to the Crystal Mall management. They lit a fire under him and the phone's screen was replaced the next day. The final payment was$260 for a total of $360..My daughter is unhappy with the replacement and said the cracked screen was better. We are going back today to see if any thing can be done. Nothing could be done. He said originally a Samsung screen would be used. But now said a Chinese aftermarket screen was used. That official iPhone parts were not sold to third party repairers. He said there was a one year replacement warranty if there was a real problem. But the phone looked fine to him. (But then, he was comparing it to a iPhone 7). My experience with Mr. Fix it was good overall. I had dropped my phone and cracked the screen on my iphone 6. I called around for quotes and based on reviews and price, decided to bring my phone here. When, I brought my phone here, the worker quoted me HIGHER than what I was told over the phone. When I brought this up, he ended up agreeing to charge the phone price. The screen looked like new when I picked it up. I realized afterward that I could not hear other people and people could not hear me when I received and made phone calls. My phone calls were working before bringing it to Mr. Fix it! I was pretty annoyed at the time that I had to bring it back, but they fixed it no problem under 30 minutes and free of charge. These were minor drawbacks, but I would most likely go back. read more

I've used Mr Fix-It twice now. Once to replace the battery in my iPhone and then to try and fix my iPhone after it was submerged. In both cases the service was fast and expertly performed. In the case of the submerged iPhone he spent a considerable amount of time diagnosing if it could be fixed, but finally determined it was beyond saving. I expected to pay for his time as any repaired business would demand, but imagine my surprise when he said "no charge "! I recommend Mr Fix-It to anyone needing work done on their phones or iPads. Had an iPhone screen fixed while I waited - pretty good job so I brought my iPad with cracked screen. Was told it would take a week for a new screen to come in. After 3 weeks and no reply, I called and was told it would take another couple weeks. 6 weeks later and still no word so I came in and found nothing had been done. I, of course (after 3 months) didn't have the work slip on me and even though they had the original, they would not refund the money ($100) I had left as a deposit and no reason why no work was done and I was never contacted. Destroyed my IPhone 7 screen. They were able to replace it and put a new glass screen protector on in less than an hour. Reasonably priced, only slightly more expensive this where I would have usually gone. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have two locations within the mall, one by JCPenny and one by Bed, Bath, & Beyond, both on the top floor. The one next to Bed Bath and Beyond also has a large variety of cases but they are off brand and knock offs of brand name cases. read more

I had broken my screen on my Asus Tablet. I went her to get it fixed and he told me it was going to be 85 bucks, which seems right for the work and part. After I got my Tablet back I looked at it closely and saw little squares on the touch screen, which I never seen before, so I asked is this for the touch screen sensors? He said, duh yeah all of them have it. Plus when I looked at the edge you could see where they forced it open ( in the photos). When i told them about it they ignored me and didn't want to face it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Brought my phone in to replace cracked screen. Screen was fixed but my battery, which worked perfectly fine, will not hold a charge at all. They were incredibly rude and he kept telling me that the cracked screen replacement had nothing to do with my battery. My battery was in perfect working order until until he completely took my phone apart and now it won't hold a charge at all. Coincidence... I THINK NOT! I went down to the ATT store to ask some questions while Mr. Fix It was working on my phone and even the people at ATT said that he was the worst and should not have gotten it fixed there and did recommend other companies to go to. I only left about 30 minutes ago so I am hoping this works out. At first I thought it was a bit shady because I asked him if he could fix my phone and before he even told me yes or the price he started trying to fix it ( My screen cracked on my iphone 6). He lectured me that I should not go for the cheaper kiosks because they use old parts and Mr Fix it uses new parts. The cheapest kiosk was 95$ and Mr. Fix it was 110. I was able to get him down to 100 by asking for a student or triple a discount and so it was definitely worth it to go to an actual store rather than a kiosk for 5$ more. It only took 20 minutes. He also put a free glass screen protector on my phone so as long as my phone holds up I will be very pleased. I know the real mac store does it for 116 so this was a good deal. I got my Samsung s6's glass screen repaired here. Samsung quoted me 160 dollars to fix and Mr fix it did it for $120. It was quick and cheap(er). My only problem is with the quality of the screen replacement. The screen replacement smudges very easily, has small bubbles underneath (likely depress they didn't wipe off before putting the screen in), and the tab and back display has a dotted line look when lit up. For a $120 repair they should at least use a quality screen replacement not a knock off and at least wipe the other side before installing it. Very shoddy work and screen. Wish I had spent the money and sent it into Samsung. read more

I would really give this business no stars. My daughter brought her phone there for a cracked screen and after several hundred dollars and lots of tears the phone never worked the same at all but had a new screen. He constantly had excuses as to how "she must have done something else to it". When asked for a receipt on the parts replaced he would not give one, only this card that goes to a weird website, and a register receipt with no explanation on it. My co-worker had the same experience just recently and her i phone was brought in for a cracked screen, screen replaced, and now she can't receive any calls and her camera doesn't work. I had my laptop in to fix a broken hinge. The who took the assignment not only did a horrible job and was coming up all kinds of excuses in the book to save his face. I ended up with an unaligned display and a damaged computer. Earlier this year I took a iPhone 6 there to have the battery replaced. They replaced the battery for $40, and it worked great for a few weeks, then the issue came back again. I took it back to them, and this time they changed my $60 to replace the battery again. Once again it worked great for a couple of weeks, then it stopped working again. I ran out of patience with Mr. Fix it, so I took it to Apple. Apple told me the battery was not installation correctly, that the battery was still in the plastic wrap, causing the battery to over heat and expand, causing the screen to pop off the phone, also many the screws were missing including the two external screws by the charging port. read more

"No repair is perfect" said the Mr. Fix it employee. I brought my Galaxy 4 Note to these guys for a broken screen repair. I was concerned about any imperfections after the repair and was assured it would be like new when done so I sprung for the $125 job and went shopping for 2 hours. When I returned for the phone just before closing, the screen was on and it looked ok. Upon getting home I again looked at the phone with the screen off and a huge "bubble" was visible under the new glass. I returned the next day and they said the frame was bent (should have been checked before the repair) and they would try to fix it but had no replacement frames. When I came back the screen looked OK and I was told that if the "bubble" returned they would replace the frame for free. The phone looked OK but the bubble returned by the time I got home however overnight it went away. The next thing I noticed was a white hair under the screen and looking closer I saw multiple small white fibers under the glass as well as a faint 3/4" scratch. When I discovered my ear bud jack no longer worked properly I again returned and was told "they didn't touch the jack....I guess it just a coincidence that it worked until I brought the phone to them . SO I pointed out the hair under the screen along with the other contamination and they said "no repair was perfect" (but they said it would be "like new" before taking my money... so I asked for it to be properly cleaned along with the free frame replacement. I was told they would replace it for free and clean under the glass but the part would cost me $30...and they could fix the jack for another $40. I left in disgust, composing this review in my head on the way out. Attention to detail is not something you will find with these guys and I would advise taking your broken phone elsewhere. read more

Please save your money and a future headache with these guys. They lie about everything they say. I went there to get my iPad Air screen replaced and I asked if they used quality parts? They said they did and even showed me the screen they would put on, I wanted to make sure it was the quality one with copper, not the silver. So they showed it to me and I believed that's the one they would use. However when I get home to play my online game the screen wasn't working properly. I literally could not control the in game vehicle because it would stop without my thumb coming off the screen. It was really bad and the home button wasn't even flush with the screen, yet it was when I left the store. So went back and they said show us, I did and they of course disagreed. I asked for my money back and they suddenly offered another screen. So I said ok, watched them take the screen off and low and behold the screen wasn't the quality one they showed me initially, it was the cheapest crap screen you could get. The second one didn't work either and I said give me the money back il go some where else. These guys are not pros, and yet the son jay couldn't stop telling me how good he was at fixing these devices. Big mistake on my part, wish I had read these reviews first, never would of went there. The only good review in here I bet is from them or a friend of there's, that's the kind of people they are. I hope they get sued like the other store did in the mall. The worst part is they bent one of the pins on the inside of the iPad and now it's a paper weight. as some people said before, dont even bother. i would give it 0 stars but you obviously cant do that. they made me pay $225 for a few small cracks on my screen and after i left the mall, thankful my phone was fixed, it began to completely glitch. the bottom right of my screen would never work and when i would use my keyboard, the letters would glitch all over the place. I brought it back, thinking that maybe the screen was loose, but turns out the guy broke some sort of plate in my phone and wouldnt fix it! he said it was my fault and that i would have to be charged AGAIN to have this fixed. smh. never going back, dont waste your time or money! read more
