I use the staples in New London Ct. for Amazon returns. The staff at the return counter lately are incredibly unprofessional and lack basic customer courtesy. No simple return greeting and absolutely nothing when i asked if i was allset. Next time (and there will be a next time) i will be addressing this with the store manager after directly with the staples employee. What has happened to basic common courtesy?? read more

Had to return an Amazon product and used their - drop it off at Staples system. I had previously been to Staples to do a UPS drop off and their area to do sobwas in the back. So as I walled in carrying my box I was headed to the back when a nice store associate asked if Iv was doing an Amazon return. He motioned for me to go to the front cashier area. So I was grateful for his help as Ib would have gone to the wrong area. So I waited in the checkout line and the cashier took my box. So here is why its a 3 star review. Without saying anything, no getting or what she was doing, sheb opened my box and took out my item. Scanning it and scanning other things then placing it into a larger box, which looked like other returns. She pushed my original box to me and I assumed I needed to take that. She went to the printer, grabbed the receipt and handed it to me. So not sure if she was tired of the mundane job or feeling tired or what, but her customer service style just seemed bad. Sure would have been nice to know what she was doing and how it effects me. 3 stars were for the first associate who was truly helpful. read more

Went to print paper work from my phone I have never had a problem until today I asked the lady behind the counter for help I was told to follow the instructions I do this once a year there was a sweetheart of a lady who took the time to help me I'm 66 years old not technically with I phone but a big thank you to the lady for the help I don't know what happened to staples I will be finding some were else so disappointed read more

A Staples is a Staples is a Staples. Except when it's not your local store. I was visiting family for the weekend and had to stop in Staples to replenish ink for the people I was staying with (somehow the stuff I printed seemed to use the last of the ink... all 4 pages I printed). Going in to the store, it was laid out nicely and relatively clean. I did some browsing and was tempted to pick up some of the clearance items but talked myself out of it - was it really worth a tape dispenser in a funny shape for under $7? How would I get it packed in my suitcase? I picked up the ink and the cashier said that the store was having a deal on HP products - buy one, get one 30% off. So I bought two inks to help out with my family's printing needs and I don't feel bad about it. It saved me from getting things I didn't need, but I know the ink helps out my family. I rarely give a negative review. I had such a bad experience with customer service from this tech manager that I must. I went in last summer with a computer virus on my HP laptop that I purchased there a couple of years prior. My virus protection had run out so the manager sold me a new one. He said they would call me in a few days to pick it up after the repair. They did not call. I stopped in after almost 2 weeks and picked it up. When I got to the office I realized it was broken. It must have been dropped. The laptop is difficult to close and the back pops open. I went back to New London Staples and was told by the manager that I had dropped it myself. Very poor service calling the customer a liar. He was rude and I was insulted and didn't go back. Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. So, this morning I have a virus that won't let me use my laptop and still several pop ups from last time that they didn't remove when they broke it. I still have the protection package so I went in. There was a nice young man helping me when the same manager came over and wouldn't leave me alone. I told him that he needs a customer service class. I took my laptop and went to Norwich Staples. Norwich Staples has my laptop and I'm confident that they will remove the virus and the pop up problem. I will review Norwich Staples later after the experience is done but we will probably do all of our business there from now on. Customer service and honesty are very important to us while doing business. Norwich Staples seems to have that. It will be worth the drive. read more
