BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE! Our upstairs laundry room overflowed…read moreand flooded in Feb 2025. Our original flooring had been discontinued and we'd worked with several companies to find a similar style. After weeks of searching, we reached out to Trent's Carpet Cleaning & Restoration. He found the exact flooring we wanted and said he could start right away. We also opted to have Trent's replace carpet in areas insurance didn't cover. He said the flooring would have a lifetime warranty and would not chip or scratch. He promptly took a $10,000 deposit, only to later tell us we couldn't get the flooring we picked. We ended up reluctantly agreeing to a different floor Trent suggested. From day 1, we had issues. He positions his company as a family business operating with integrity, but I would challenge that. Trent never visited the job once work began and did not manage the project. I had to act as liaison between him and his workers. The days and times they showed up were never consistent and rarely communicated. Throughout the process, Trent tried to cut corners -- despite insurance covering the cost. Workers would show up unannounced, and Trent would call expecting us to pick up and move everything for them. With 3 young kids (including a newborn), this is not realistic. Not to mention, insurance covered moving as an exact line item. Trent also tried to re-use broken shoe molding and quarter round instead of replacing -- again, items specifically covered by insurance. Several damaged pieces of flooring were installed and they were clearly frustrated when we asked for them to be replaced. We had to constantly inspect the work and confirm items were being addressed. By the time the job was "done", we just wanted them out of our house. When it came time to pay the balance, Trent collected nearly $5,000 in additional "overhead and profit." He came to pick up the check without doing a walk through, asking for feedback, or thanking us. Right away, the flooring started chipping from the smallest things -- a Norwex mop, a small plastic toy, etc. We emailed Trent on Nov 4, which he never responded to. Shortly after, we noticed water around the downstairs toilet. A plumber told us the wax ring was not replaced when the toilet was reinstalled after the floor work. Ironically, Trent had a plumber connect and disconnect our water softener, but didn't use one for the toilet. On Nov 21, I reached out again. After several follow ups, he finally came out Dec 9. Trent acknowledged the chipping and the water damage, though stated several times they always replace the wax ring. He said he'd file a warranty claim for the chipping but couldn't return until the New Year to replace the water damaged flooring. I followed up Jan 6, Jan 23, Feb 9, Feb 16, Feb 20, and Feb 23. Trent said he was waiting on the warranty decision before addressing the bathroom floors. Despite multiple follow ups, there was no decision. On Feb 23, Trent sent workers to do the repair with zero guidance and no replacement flooring. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed Trent had never filed a warranty claim. When I asked if I could file it myself, I was told it had to go through Trent -- who clearly does not take care of his customers. It is now Mar 30. Our water damaged floors have not been replaced, the $200 plumber bill has not been reimbursed, and nobody has contacted us about a warranty claim.

The floors were to be delivered to The village of West Clay in Carmel, Indiana, about 30 minutes away from the warehouse. When I visited the store, I asked all the questions: can I return unused, unopened boxes (yes), how much for your installers ($2.50 a sq ft), Was told delivery was free to my home. After further interactions & reading on the website, returned unopened product is subjected to a 25% restocking fee, installation only STARTS at $2.50 sq ft, delivery is free without installers, not free if you use their installers, and the best part curbside delivery only (meaning they drop the pallets at the end of your driveway on the curb/in the street. They will not put it in your driveway or garage like other flooring companies. Too many details left out by employees of this store intentionally, so we definitely will not be purchasing from this store. If you know all of that up front, & are willing to gamble for a low price, go for it, I'd rather pay 100% more for something as important as my homes floors, and know I have no headaches, and it is all done correctly. With all the misleading answers here, I'm sure there would be additional charges/issues I just haven't figured out the truth to yet (compared with their answers).

Whatever that's fine... I found it odd the salesman wanted to show me sooo many options via text and only brought 2 to my house to look at it in person. I really liked one of the options though so it worked out. Scheduling was easy, the team was at our house on time to install, and were done in a couple hours. That said, I'm pretty confident in my assessment that the floors that were installed were not what I picked out. What I picked was very light, grey, almost concrete looking. What was installed was very dark and a lot of brown tones... it's like it's the same style but the wrong color was ordered. I mentioned this to both the project manager and the salesman, neither acknowledge me. For that reason I wouldn't use them again and unlikely to recommend to my family and friends.

When we decided to go ahead with the project, the entire team came to my house, plumbing, electrician, etc. to assure that what the designer had presented was all doable. Our designer, Dani, was excellent at accommodating all our wishes and our project manager, Ryan, was very thorough and communicative. The actual project was mostly completed while we were out of town, but through their app and texts, we received pictures and questions every step of the way. At the end, every minor detail was attended to and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. I highly recommend this company for your remodeling project!
