Heads up! Mr Gyro Hero food truck in Seaside charges a hidden service fee. The total rings up as food items, and then a separate tax fee that I thought looked high, but it was not broken out. Then it asked for a tip which I added. I did get an email receipt with itemized charges. Service fee charges were part of the taxes. It just feels shady. I think you should let a customer know that you are including a service fee in their total. And, it's a food truck. No one waited on me at a table. And my burger was supposed to come with chips and they didn't give them to me. I had to go back and ask for some. read more

Mr. Gryo Hero is located in Seaside's Airstream Row on 30A in Seaside, Florida. While there were a variety of tasty options along Airstream Row, Mr. Gyro Hero was the perfect lunch option for us. You can't go wrong with their gyro which was generously stuffed to capacity. We also couldn't resist an order of the Baba Ghanoush (Grilled eggplant, grilled bell peppers, parsley, olive oil. Served with grilled pita bread). We should have added an extra order of pita bread since our kiddo swiped some which threw off our Baba Ghanoush-to-pita ratio.. Other items on the menu that looked good were the Stuffed Grape Leaves, Gyro Platter, Falafel Wrap & Greek Fries. Anyway, service was great. The person taking our order was very friendly and gave us a bit of info about the area since it was our first time in Seaside / Santa Rosa Beach. Our food came out promptly which was great considering it was during Spring Break & also during the lunch rush. Realized now that I didn't get my chips that apparently came with our gyros The area around Seaside amphitheater is relaxing and there are tables close by and seating to enjoy your meal. PARKING TIP: Parking can be tricky since SO MANY spots are reserved so we circled around quite a bit & eventually found the parking mecca along Smolian Circle (see my pix). Download the Passport Parking App and enter the zone number once you find your parking space. We wanted to try the food trucks and decided on this one bc they had the shortest line. Parking can be difficult but there is additional parking on the backside of the shops in the area. I ordered the lamb gyro that came with chips. It was average at best. Staff was fast and friendly. read more

Stopped here to try out the gyro. We saw food trucks and wanted to supporter. The service was stellar. We had gyros that were suppose to have lamb and beef on one and lamb and chicken on mine. I didn't see nor taste my chicken but it was ok other than that. Parking was hard to find. We returned today and we think we found parking on the back side. There are shops past the food trucks. There is a courtyard in between where random concerts are held. The ambiance is the food court. read more

Yummy! Reasonably priced gyros ( relative to location) served on a warmed pita ( you can get rice too) hit the spot on this uncharacteristically chilly day. Generous shaved portions of lamb and beef served with a slightly sweet tzatziki sauce and veggies served with a side of bagged chips. They have Tabasco brand Sriracha sauce for the heat and that is pretty good but I wish they had a next level option too. My better half had chicken which was just as tasty and toasty. Walking around Seaside and wanted to try their gyros. I had heard they were amazing. I ordered the gyro wrap that comes with chips for $12.50. The gyro came out quickly. I am sometimes iffy about food trucks, but many people I know highly recommended this place and I'm so glad they did! I got the gyro wrap and, though it was a little pricy, it filled me up and was so delicious. I'm from New Orleans so I'm constantly eating amazing food so I never know what to expect when I go on vacation. However, this was definitely some of the best gyro I've ever had. Authentic Greek cuisine. Taste . A few days back I went to what used to be the Five Daughters donut tuck and was upset to see something had replaced it. For those who have been around Seaside you know how good these donuts were great. I was intrigued to see it was a Greek spot - there's nothing like this on 30a and I'm a sucker for Mediterranean food. I came back a few nights later and decided to give the new spot a try. I'm not upset anymore. This place is good. I have had every food truck at Seaside (multiple times) and this is an excellent addition to the community. My dude at the register was on point. I always appreciate people who recommend based on actual flavor preference over recommending the most expensive items all the time. Gyro platter: the gyro meat was well seasoned and crisped up on the plancha, the rice was delicious, the hummus was creamy with a bit of texture, and the tabooleh was an awesome palate cleanser. The yogurt sauce and pita were also great. They also carry a Tabasco Sriracha hot sauce that goes really well with the gyro meat. I was surprised at how good it was. Kids chicken kebobs for my daughter: the guy on the grill took his time to make sure the chicken came out well. It was very well seasoned and very juicy while still maintaining a great caramelized exterior. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back. read more

I am not a food truck guy. It seems like me and food trucks don't get along. My only reasonable Choice while in seaside Florida was a food truck. I looked for a truck not so Much based of food choice but by wait time. The food was above average, my wife got chicken kebabs and I got a burger the portions were good. The service was terrible! I thought I was the only order they had and after waiting 10 minutes I walked up to the pick up window And watched them prepare an unknown number of orders that were not mine 22 minutes later I finally got my food. Typically when I eat greek food out the food is better than what I can make at home but despite this places reviews, the food was dry, pita tasted hard, and the rice also tasted hard. The service was also decent at best but pretty slow for a food truck. Maybe if the price wasnt equivalent to a MUCH better meal at a higher end establishment it would have been better. Understand you are busy, but you are offering a service in a heavy tourist area and you're charging premium prices (which you should), but you can not treat your customers like garbage. Gyro hero is a great little food truck in the Seaside town square. They seem to make everything fresh and menu is pretty simple. We had a gyro salad, chicken gyro and kids plate. I really like burgers. They have burgers here, and I thought I would give them a try. Pickles, which is another burger place near gyro here had overpriced burgers that were very small and not very flavorful. The burgers here, however were much cheaper, more flavorful and juicy, and they were way bigger. Great burgers, and the chicken was good too. I'm sure some would see abundant chicken as a good thing but with about two teaspoons worth of sauce it was just plain. The baklava had an off, rancid taste.
