We had super friendly service. Took our order quickly, and it was served about 5 minutes later. The bbq nachos is about $17, and I thought that was high till I got my order. It was packed to the too. Good amount of bbq. We got onions and peppers on it. There are different sauces you can get, and we tried 3 of them and thought they were all very good. Everyone has their own like and dislikes of sauces, but like I said, all were very good to me. Two of us did not finish the order. Brisket was so dry. They told me they take off all fat and ends. Basically all flavor is gone. You need sauce. I believe it'd be great if they left all the flavor on it. Mac n cheese was pretty decent. Baked beans are spicy and vinegar tasting. All the bbq sauces have too much vinegar. They all taste like it. If I go back I'll see what the ribs look like and maybe try them. I also realized after leaving that I was charged $5 more than the price on the sign. Not sure why. Bbq was ok - we live in Kansas City and have high expectations, but this place is VERY proud of their bbq and the prices show it. We've never paid this much even at home. We got two 2-meat plates (they come with 2 sides and toast), a children's meal (drink not included), and 2 soft drinks...our bill was $123. I almost choked! The pork was good, the brisket was a bit dry, the sauces were alright, the baked beans were fine (I don't like green bell peppers in my beans, but if you do, you'll probably like them), the coleslaw was unique but pretty good. The staff was kind, but there's no real "service" - you order at a window and they call your number when it's ready. Portions were decent but still insanely overpriced. Yes, I realize it's a touristy area, but the night before we left we ate at another restaurant where we got an appetizer, 2 entrees, a children's menu, a beer, and a dessert *with full service* and the bill was only $1.50 more than this place was. Typical prices for the area and very convenient for us out-of-towner BBQ aficionados looking for an assortment of BBQ before a big game. Informative note that I'm not docking for: no mix-n-matching on each set of sliders. I get it, it's an economical thing. Side of the day was a chowder, but instead I opted to help fill out Kat's meat indecision. Food came out after 5 minutes or so on plain room temp buns with a limp pickle wedge on the side. Lots of tables out front, gladly shaded and accessorized with squirt bottles of their signature condiments. I skipped sampling the Tiki Dust since clearly enough of it already had been used on the meats. Dry and disappointing. I close my eyes and try to pretend I'm eating the Firefighter tri-tip sandwich of many fairs past. I personally preferred the brisket over the pork by a slim margin. I turned to each sauce in hopes of a miracle, and Hang Ten won by a landslide. Wipeout's nuances were lost in the vinegar, Pipeline's mustard base was unappetizing to this mustard enthusiast, and Hot Lava was not even spicy enough to tickle a Scoville addict's toe. I really wanted to like this! It smelled great and the brisket was good! However, I ordered the BBQ nachos. The chips and cheese were the quality of nachos you get at the movie theater. Yes, they plopped some tasty brisket on top, but the value was so below what was charged. What i paid was even more than their menu price too! They added 15% service charge (the receipt called it a gratuity) automatically to my order of one item. That is messed up! I don't live here, nor probably most everyone else that comes here, so they don't care it seems. I am sad about this review. I was really hoping for better food for $20. read more

BBQ food from an Airstream Trailer? Cool... ...in concept. Here's why the nostalgia fades for me. They have gotten so popular now that there's a second Airstream trailer just for the food prep and assembly. I can see two smokers right behind it indicating that the food is authentic. We ordered the bucket of ribs $12.95, that disappointingly did not come in a bucket nor were the ribs that memorable. It was dry rubbed, the meat was cold, even a little touch, rendering the ribs almost flavorless. There's a sauce station with 4 BBQ sauces to choose from (sweet, mustard, vinegar-based, and hot), but not even one version of the sauce could save these ribs. Pull Pork Sandwich fared better, and for a dollar less at $11.95, it came with more food with choices of two sides. We chose the baked beans and side of the day, for which today was Chicken Tortilla Soup. The pulled pork were tucked in between slices of toasted, buttery Texas bread. Unlike it's counterpart, it was packed with juicy BBQ sauce and tender. The baked beans should be made into a sandwich on it's own. With pieces of pork, swimming in a peppery, sweet brown sugar base it was very much enjoyed. The soup was a creamier version of the Chicken Tortilla broth soups I'm accustomed to, but I have no complaints. It was delicious, boasting in tender chunks of chicken, black beans, topped with 3 round tortilla chips. The food truck shares the strip with other Airsteam trailers right on the main street of Seaside, on 30A. I think it's become more of a tourist trap and the authenticity has been lost because of it. But they're pet friendly, with a recycled water station right off the street for your doggos. So go support them :oD read more

I can appreciate they don't serve the bbq on a goofy bready roll like so many amateur bbq spots do. Thin Texas toast serves as a vessel to consume the Q. sides are fantastic. Some of the best baked beans you'll find. They are accentuated with jalapeños to make them spicier and the Cole slaw has pineapple while being low on the mayonnaise (possibly not at all). Considering how busy the area of seaside gets at night I would say this place does a decently good job at getting people there food at an efficient time! They give you your number on a flip flop which I thought was a cute and creative idea and they have some great sauces to pick from ranging from spicy bbq to mild all tangy and sweet goes great with the food! Most of the food here is outrageously expensive and we looked around for a bit and for the amount we got and the price for about $10 seemed to be the best bargain. Everything from the look of the vintage silver trailer to the DELISH Portabella sandwich ($6.95) that included Jalapeno aioli and garlic on Texas Toast. I did the smart thing and called in my $100+ order on a spring break night. When we got to Seaside there was no where to park so I had my wife circle the block...coming into this town going W on 30A took about 20mins to make the last half mile, be warned if you're driving, ride a bike instead! Since I called ahead I could jump straight to the head of the ridiculously long line. Since we had a ton of BBQ and sides, I asked for a few tubs of each of their bbq sauces since everyone has different tastes. What I got was a few small ramekins in a box. Let's start with the bad. Poor handling of sauces. The corn on the cob is $2, what they don't tell you is that it's half a piece of corn. I've had corn everywhere from Maine to Ohio, Florida to California, I've never paid that much for such a small, poor tasting piece of corn. Seriously? I'm a good tipper, when I picked up my order, I noticed that 10% gratuity was already added in...hmmm....nobody told me that up front? I'm not apposed to paying that for takeout and typically tip more, IF I'm informed up front. We had several racks of ribs, some of them were more tender, some of them were tough and gritty. The cuts weren't that great and they weren't consistent at all. My kids got the cheese nacho kids meal...horrible. Chips were soggy and wet and came from a bag you'd buy at Sam's Club to sell at a little league game. Cheese was the same. The good, they actually smoke their bbq, it has a great crust, and the sauces aren't bad. I enjoyed our pound of pulled pork much better than the ribs. The pink cole slaw surprised me, it was better than I expected, but not great. The beans were awesome, at least to me, but to my wife they were a bit spicy. If I went back I'd just get the pulled pork as the ribs weren't consistent and overall they needed a few more hours in the smoker. The ribs were just as impressively cooked/ smoked as the sandwich meat. It's very easy to tell they put their passion and love into this food, and handmade every part.
