Great little Greek restaurant. Pita was fresh, hummus excellent with kind of a smoky flavor. Fried calamari was a good appetizer. For the main meal, portions were enormous. Moussaka was done just right and I know how hard it is to get eggplant cooked up well. The petite rack of lamb was a highlight. Delicious mushroom demi glace, properly done Greek potatoes and broccoli. The lamb was so tender and came with six pieces. Enough to take home and have another meal. A glimpse into Greece! This place was super clean, bright, with plenty of tables. I loved the decor because it really fits the Greek vibe. I got the chicken souvlaki and it tasted very fresh. It was perfectly grilled and the pita was soft. My boyfriend got the gyro plate and he thought the gyro meat was crispy and thin. He also liked the fries and thought the tzatziki sauce was good. Visited Destin for President's Day weekend and tried Aegean Greek Restaurant. Located in a strip mall off highway 98, Aegean offers great cuisine in a very intimate setting. We arrived Saturday afternoon and was able to get a seat without waiting. Aegean is a very popular with locals and tourists so arrive early. Our server was quick to grab our drink order while we viewed the menu. Lots of traditional Greek cuisine with plenty of seafood dishes to appease your appetite. We went with traditional souvlaki dishes which came with a delicious side salad. We added a hummus with pita bread appetizer and was served warm and tasty. Service was great and very attentive. Prices were very reasonable but seating for larger groups nay want to call ahead to confirm Aegean can accommodate your party. Great experience and look forward to our next visit. read more

we came here after an appointment and it was recommended by the staff. we've been wanting to find a good greek restaurant in the area and this place is a hidden gem! we were seated quickly and we ordered the calamari for appetizer. super crispy, tender, and succulent calamari with a delicious marinara sauce. i'm glad they gave 3 lemon wedges cause i love to drown mine in lemon juice! we ordered the chicken souvlaki to share and the chicken was tender, well seasoned, and juicy. it was a good portion for us to share. the tzatziki sauce was delicious. it comes with a salad but we substituted it for fries which were crispy and fluffy on the inside. my only nit pick was the veggies in the rice. i personally don't like that in my rice but it was still good. and of course we got dessert and the tres leches cheesecake was light, creamy, and not too sweet. absolutely delicious. our server was prompt, professional, and kind. our experience was great overall and we'll be back to try more items on the menu! read more

Throughout our entire dinner the waitress was dismissive-leaving us to wait 15 minutes before our order was even placed. We went here tonight with a very large group. The food was wonderful, from the Greek egg rolls to the German chocolate cake! The resteraunt was impeccably clean, to the point that I didn't mind when my 1 year old was eating off the table. But the true star of the show was our waiter Ben. Ben is the hardest worker I have ever seen. He somehow made sure all 23 of us had everything that we needed while also making recommendations on what to eat and making conversation too. It's rare to see someone really enjoying their job, but it was clear that Ben really does. He took a great experience to the next level! read more

New location is nice. Much better than the previous location.Rice was a little undercooked and the waitress was busy so drink refills were slow. The Baklava had too much cinnamon and walnuts instead of pistachios like I'm used to and it was really really sweet. So I personally wouldn't order it again. read more

Like that the restaurant was themed with the restaurants food category. Hummus was very grainy. Definitely had far better. The chicken skewer was very burnt and I can't stand the burned taste. They now serve breakfast until 2:00. One of our group had chicken and waffles but I forgot to ask her how she liked them. I had the meatballs (Keftedes) lunch and it came rice, pitas and with a nice Greek salad. I would order it again. The lamb kabobs were tender and good. The Greek potatoes were excellent! However, the pastichio was not like last time! It was dry with a red sauce. RED sauce. It is supposed to be a thick bechamel and white. No red. It was like a poorly cooked lasagna. The Mousaka was delicious! The gyros were huge and very good. I know that we will be back but please - no red sauce in pasticho- ever. It was horrid. I would try again, but as of now I'm leaving my review at 3 stars for our visit. We dined last night at Aegean and had high hopes after reading the reviews, but I think it fell slightly short. Service : pretty much 1 waitress Lizzy who did a great job on what she could work with. She had two groups with about 10 people in each group and one was high maintenance. She did the best she could , but I felt like the kitchen could have been short staffed as well. Not ideal for spring break. Service 3 stars, but I don't blame our server. I think the restaurant should have staffed better. Food: The pita with hummus and taziki were good I ordered the shrimp Santorini and I thought it was ok. I knew going into it was frozen gulf shrimp. Would be a nice touch to have non frozen shrimp being this close to stores that sell fresh shrimp specially being so close to the gulf. Charge a little bit more and I think people would pay for it. The tenderloin souvlaki my friend would give it 3.5/4 stars. She said it was dry and maybe a little less oregano. My other friend had the gyro plate and she enjoyed her meal and said the greek potatoes were amazing. Ambiance: the restaurant could use a little sprucing up. We ate here on our trip to Destin. I ordered the salmon, well done, with veggies and rice. My guy ordered the grilled ribeye with potatoes and veggies. We both were ecstatic at how delicious our food was. My guy raved about how seasoned and tender his well done steak was, and even suggested on our next trip to the area that we eat here again. Really great food. Fresh. The ambiance is okay. Oddly, the sound system was really impressive for a restaurant and the music was appropriate for the place. I only mention it because it was a pleasant surprise that is rare these days. We've been traveling this week and it has been shocking how many really nice places are ruined by the type and volume of music played. We had breakfast at the Marriott Sawgrass to Rap music.
