Very nice store located at the Laguna Hills mall. We were calling around many locations and this location saved us approximately $75. on the nose ring that was a family members choice. Very nice, friendly staff, they're NOT overcharging as mentioned prior. It was the exact same nose ring being sold at another location for 250. Here it was like 110, a bargain. Additionally, it was nice having conversations with other patrons, about their piercings. Perhaps because it's at Mission Vale mall the store cover charge isn't as much, and so the customer is able to buy things at a better price! Once again, the jewelry that she picked out was 110. The other location was charging 250 for the same thing ! So that means that Mr. Inkwell saved us $140 !!! It was a nose, stud butterfly gold 14 K and we were shopping around for this other spots all the way from Garden Grove, Irvine etc to Mission Viejo! read more

This review is long over due. I got the other side of my nostril pierced on 12/6/25 and Angelica was my piercer. The studio itself is very clean and I love the jewelry options they provide. In addition, Mr. Inkwells is very reasonably priced. It was $50 for the piercing fee for the nostril. One studio I have gone to in the past now charges $90 for the piercing fee which is outrageous !!! Angelica was amazing! She was very professional, nice, walked me through every step, and very clear with the aftercare instructions. I appreciated how she had me double, triple check the marking in the mirror on the other side of my nostril to make sure I was happy ensuring the marking was even with the other side. My experience at Mr. Inkwells was awesome and I was super comfortable as soon as I walked in the studio. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in getting a piercing! read more

Went in last week for second ear piercings. Experience was great but their prices for jewelry is on the high side. Very high especially for 14k gold. They refused to use mine because apparently it's not their policy and their jewelry is "sanitized and etc". Well clearly it's poor quality because I'm having issues now and can't get a hold of anyone. I've called and emailed. Nobody calls back and nobody emails back. Their phone goes straight to Voicemail every time. Now I have to go to my Dr to have them look at it. For the price you pay, the least they could do is call back... very disappointing. read more

Brought my daughter here today for her 16th birthday. She asked to get her second lobe done. As my daughter was asked to lay back on the piercing bench, it and my daughter flew backwards onto the floor narrowly missing a glass case of jewelry. She wasn't hurt, however that was absolutely humiliating and really scary. The piercer said sorry and she wasn't sure what happened. That's it. That's all that was done. Oh, and she brought her water. That whole experience (besides the actual piercing which seems fine) was not good. We left with my kiddo in tears not from pain but from embarrassment. read more

I did a walk in because my belly button piercing I got at a different piercing shop had an irritation bump. Kera helped assess what could've been the issue and I got new jewelry, they removed the old one and replaced it with the new one for me and it took maybe 10 minutes total for the whole process walk-in to walk out. The shop was very clean and there were quite a few people in there. Staff was friendly and informative throughout the whole process. Kera invited me to come back in a couple weeks to check on the progress of the irritation bump, I'll definitely come back because they have a cute selection of jewelry too.
