He…read morewas able to absolutely entertain the entire group of fifteen or so 4-6 year olds for more than an hour (longer than he had anticipated) and I can't tell you how much laughter and shrieks of delight we heard. Most importantly to us, he was able to get our fairly shy daughter comfortable and up in front of the group of her friends to join in his act and, even better, she had a great time doing it. He also stayed after the show to make balloon animals for all of the kids in attendance which was a big hit. It was all around a great show and Alex was fantastic at working with the kids. So fiance and I were at a very good friends party for our friends son who just turned 18. Yeah, you're a man now Chris happy B-day. My friend, she always have some sort of entertainment for her great party's one time it was a belly dancer! What to do? They are older adults there, young twenty somethings, teenagers and little kiddies, so why not something that everybody can get into..... magic. Get the right person and they will become the life of the party. Enter Barry Taylor he is the owner/operator of Barry's Magic shop in Rockville and he does parties. Corporate, B-days whatever for up to about a hundred people. As soon as he arrived he stood out wearing a bright lemon coloured sport coat and a very colourful shirt so you knew something was going to be different cause not only his clothes really stood out but also his personality stood out just as brightly. At parties people always separate themselves into small groups huddling, standing or seated talking amongst themselves. Barry was able to glide from group to group without skipping a beat between all groups. The little kiddies first, doing tricks that amazed them such as the vanishing handkerchief's and foam ball tricks. He then gravitated over to me and fiance with coins and cards. Making the coins jump from his hands to her and left her tying to figure out how he did his hands is trickier than the eye tricks. Very personable on a one to one level making everybody feel at ease. Later on into the party Barry had setup a little staging area inside and performed a fast pace and extremely entertaining magic show that involved everybody and made things appear like doves and disappear like cards, canes and all sorts of small objects. All the time while zipping out one liners and even singing to Huey Lewis type songs. Magic and jokes for small group is what he does best so if you have a private party or corporate function and looking for something that's entertaining and safe fun, (as opposed to naughty fun, like some comedians that i know would tell nothing but dirty jokes) so he is good for all ages I give him high recommendations and let him entertain, you will have a blast. He had us rolling with laughter. I been to Vegas I seen shows there and for your own private Vegas little show, this is as good as it gets.

He was very flexible in working with us to get the perfect spot at the club for the show and waiting a few extra minutes for all of the kids to get their ice cream. He even happily accommodated what we thought would be 50 kids that turned into 71! Then the show began! The kids were mesmerized- absolutely enthralled!
