Stopped in for a burrito and the customer service was superb. The staff was very friendly and even spoke Hmong to us. Service was quick and the burrito was delicious! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Update: we've returned at least four times since the original review and I just wanted to say that it's been great every time. Mr. Large has been more calm than in the first review, by the way. We caught him on a really high energy night on or first visit. Still fun and funny: keep it up!

Tonight I decided to go again,I was hungry for Burgers and Curds,I got the Gladiator and Cheese Curds and my scrawny ass culd not finish it! It all came out fresh and fast to go! The owner is great,love the humor he's got reminds me of the restaurant "Dicks Last Resort" in a way,but no throwing crap just the humor in his verbal communication ,I'm sure there's been quite a few "karens" who come in who don't know him and cause a big scene but hey us regulars keep coming back and LOVE the food and can take the heat this guy gets food out faster then the Chipotle in town! And I appreciate that he knows his customers! Oh also it's clean,fresh,fast and freaking delicious! So if u can take the heat of Sarcastic Humor and LOVE to eat you gotta come check this place out!

My boyfriend brought me here yesterday evening because he said it was similar to chipotle since there isn't one here in Forest Lake, first impressions should be pretty important when out to eat and as I walked in a noticed the owner who in my opinion was high/on drugs and made me feel pretty uncomfortable by making rude comments about the way I looked, which doesn't shock me from what I've heard about what goes on in the back of this place. Now the food was not great I got a steak bowl and the steak had no flavor it was very bland and boring. I can surely say I will not be going back. As we left & took our food home I told my boyfriend I never wanted to go back I felt scared and uncomfortable the entire time.

Hand down the best Philly I've ever had. I was nervous to try it since I'm pretty particular about my cheesesteaks but it was better than I was hoping it could be. Burritos were great but I don't recommend the steak. Steak was chewy and way overdone. The chicken was great. The kids had a burger and they loved it. Fries were fresh and crispy but our favorite part was the tator tots. We will be back read more

Burrito was delicious, a lot of food for your money. My friend had a hamburger and said that he would return. The restaurant was spotless and very comfortable. Before rating a restaurant I take into account the ambience. The owners are the ones making your food and they will tell you how their day is going. After we sat, the owner came to our table with a large portion of gyro for us to sample. You just don't see that kind of pride anymore and that is why I rated this location higher then normal. I'm not sure why others rated so low? If you have ever eaten at a small curbside restaurant in New York, you'll know the comparison. PS, DAM GOOD GYRO! read more

Hands down this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The owner is amazing and not only does he gives his employees jobs, but he works with them in the kitchen as well. Not only that but the food here is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Absolutely fantastic service! Food came quick. Awesome gyros! Fabulous tater tots. Could not ask for a better restaurant to have in my town. What an amazing place to go to. I most definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food. Trust me, you will not leave hungry. read more

The burgers are made a day or two in advance, kept in broth, so they can't be "Made to Order". I actually saw gyro meat being used as a door stop for the cooler. I do not plan on ever eating here again. read more

New to town and was craving a burger. Looked up what was close by and this place looked pretty decent. The fries and cheese curds were ok but wow the burger was really really bad. Extremely over done. Maybe will go back to try a burrito one day but I absolutely will never ever have their burger again read more

This post is Disturbing.I'm a Retired / Disabled. Marine corps Veteran .I went in to. Mr large burrito w my 15 Daughter.I had my USMC. Black. Zipppered Hoodie on w the USMC in Red ..So I walk up Ordered our food & handed the Debt card to the owner for payment..and the owner was behind the counter with a huge smile and bulging eyes..who then asked" Hey you were in the marine core right? I answered" yes"...the owner then asked me sarcastically ."well tell me something" I replied " ok".. He then asked me what does the (Marine Corps )do when somebody who's really a fat ass like yourself shows up to bootcamp....I was stunned I replied. We have a standard but sometimes these privates are required to be in a weight loss platoon...the owner Laughted out loud & said " your so full of shit! ..Do you realize how crazy you sound ! Your totally crazy.He( the owner) continued to say ..your crazy...furthermore..I will say ! I have to start this out by saying that I have lived in Forest Lake for a little over a year and a half and continues to make the drive to Chipotle. I gave in the other day and headed over to Mr. Large and was quite surprised by the outcome. The food was filled with flavor, every bite you could taste all the different ingredients. I have worked in the food industry for over 20 years and it is hard to find a good quality, great tasting, fill you up kind of burrito. I was very impressed. The hot sauce is one that has a great flavor and the right amount of heat for almost everyone. I will definitely be returning here and no longer making the drive to chipotle. I would recommend this to anyone I know and invite the other burrito eaters to drive and give this place a shot you won't be disappointed. Great Job Mr. Large. read more

I couldn't resist another trip to Mr. Large Burrito. My kids kept pestering me all week to take them. So we went on Saturday night at 7pm. The restaurant was fairly quiet. We ordered our food and it came up within a reasonable time. My daughters each had hamburgers and fries. I had the best burrito I've ever tasted. The total bill was $21. I felt bad for the guy behind the counter because he looked like he could use more help during the busy times. He told me that he was looking to hire two new people to work the kitchen. But he was fun to watch when he made five tacos and one burrito at the same time. read more

We LOVE this place!!! Everything we've had here is fantastic. The way it is setup is similar to Chipotle, however, Mr. Large Burrito and Mr. Large Burger is 100 times better. Additionally, the owner and his wife are wonderful people. VERY nice and great to joke around with. This is a great place with great food. I especially enjoy the steak fries. If you want comfort food, this is the place to go and the prices are extremely affordable and economic. If you're in the mood for great food and great prices, go here! The portions are massive too. Wow! I had the best experience here- very clean, great menu options, and good food!! The staff is super friendly too. I ordered the gyro which was delicious and while I was eating my dad hadn't gotten anything so I gave him a bite and then one of the workers came out and have him a (pretty big) container with gyro meat and the tzatziki sauce. This place is great. They have fresh ingredients. They remind me of Chipotle, but better. You can get a salad, tacos, burrito or bowl, but they more choices. They also have something for the whole family. They 3 different kinds of fries, burgers, gyros, grilled cheese, corn dogs chicken fingers and so much more. Food is fast, service is friendly. We drive by often on our way to visit family, decided to stop in and SO GLAD we did. This will definitely be our food stop each time we go through town. My family stopped in for a supper!! We stopped in on recommendation of my son and his football coach!! It was a great decision! The burritos were enormous and delicious!!! The owner is very welcoming and attentive to your satisfaction. There is a lot of passion and effort that is easily noticed from the time you have walked up to order to when you have finished enjoying your meal. Really like this place. Until Forest Lake gets a Chipotle, this is the place to go. Options for your burrito are endless. You get in and out quickly. The service leaves a little to be desired. Delicious, I believe the owner is using his buisness for money laundering to cover up his illegal drug empire. I'm not so sure why I get these vibes but I just to. If any FBI agent is reading this please look into a investigation, other than that their food is pretty good read more

Great food. I like this place. I was in once and didn't know that I left my CC in my office. Owner told me I was good to go and get him later (which I did after I grabbed my card!). People don't really do that anymore. Also, love the chipotle sauce too! read more
