Wow, saw Mark's food reviews video of this place last week and decided we had to check it out. We were not disappointed at all. I got the shredded beef burrito with the special hot sauce.... excellent. My wife got the mushroom swiss and fries and ate every last bite of it. I would always drive past this place thinking there's no way you can get a good burrito for six bucks. A buddy told me this is his favorite place to eat in Forest Lake and I should definitely go and try it. Boy do I feel like an idiot. Turns out not only is it amazingly good but they are $6 bucks. Burritos were very bland. Ingredients on the line did not look fresh...I opted to skip the lettuce all together because it was brown and dry looking. The bathroom was a disaster.... Toilet did not flush, no paper towels. I will not be returning to say the least. read more

Every time I get something here it's great. Not sure about some of these other reviews because every time I go through Forest Lake I try to stop here for the food. Decided to give this burrito joint a shot over the other Mexican restaurants nearby, and I'm not the first to say it was a great call. One of the best burritos I've had. Not only that but the customer service was exceptional, mike aka billy hooked my buddies and me up with some free drinks and a couple good laughs. OK THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My boyfriend and I just left not even 10 mins ago. We are incredibly stoked on this place. I'm from California so I'm very picky about Mexican food. What I like in my Mexican food is keeping it classic yet not plain, and amping it up with unique items (like green olives and tater tots) and delicious sauces and salsas. I was very impressed. What's even better is that my boyfriend and I have bad stomach issues, and our stomachs don't hurt at all after eating here. My husband and I ordered our meals at the same time, his order came up first. He had almost finished eating his meal and I still did not have mine, so I went up to the counter to ask how much longer it would be. He obviously had forgotten to make my meal, and instead of saying "I'm sorry" I received an "oh". He made my meal as I watched, but he must have also forgotten that I ordered mild sauce for my chips and salsa because I was given hot sauce, so I ate my chips without any sauce. Wow. I am trying the gyro right now. Best gyro meat hands down. Carmelized exterior, juicy throughout. After trying this it is going to be hard to move on next visit and try anything else, but the brisket looks and smells like I will have to, and large doesn't begin to describe the burritos. I was at a volleyball tournament at the middle school and needed lunch and this place was nearby. Decided to try it out and I'm glad I did! I went with the chicken bowl with most of the toppings and it was sensational! I think what really made it was the fresh cilantro. Loved having that option. This place is our families "go to" place. They have AMAZING Food!!! We stop in almost every other weekend! We have had the burritos, salads, burgers, gyros, and a few other things here and there. ALL AMAZING!!! Super friendly staff and GREAT customer service! He has gone out of his way every time make my husbands burrito "spicier" and to accommodate the "silly extra" things we ask for in our meals. Fast and delicious food right on HWY 61. My wife and I had gyros, I had the mr. large and she had the chicken. Really generous portions, probably could have made another gyro with the contents of my gyro. Great service! Very funny guy taking orders!! He created a positive experience as soon as we got there. Good for picky kids: my 4 year old will not eat burritos or burgers but they have a pretty good selection for kids meals for $5. (Grilled cheese, mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets and strips). Gyros are great as well. Ice cream selection or cheesecake for dessert. Only reason I took a star off is because the mini corn dogs were a little over cooked. Candy, prize, tattoo machines, claw machine that we actually won a stuffed animal out of! Fun for all the kids and my husband and me. Will be back. read more

If you love grease this is the place for you! Burgers, bacon anything cooked in grease is absolutely covered in it. Leaves you with a soggy bun. The burrito side isn't much better. But you get what you pay for. And the $5 is only for a few things on the menu, stripped down without any sides. The sides cost extra and you pay plenty for them. $1.50 for chips? Very good for a quick burger or burrito. The cook (I'll get his name next time I go in) was very responsive to my special requests, and the gyros meat was some of the best I've had! He slices it off the spit and then slaps it on the fryer and chops it up. Turned out very hot and moist, with a nice spiceiness. I was definitely surprised by the quality of the gyros, and will definitely go back next time! And yes, it is open, despite what you see on Yelp or other websites. read more

Wow, went here for a burrito but then I saw they had a Philly on the menu so I risked it for the biscuit. The Philly was AWESOME, bun soft and chewy. The meat was seasoned had pepper on it with a perfect kick, onions, chipotle mayo. I have been searching the cities high and low for a great philly, literally drove 45 min away trying to find a great one but always disappointed. Most of the time i drown it with ketchup to add some flavor but this one no way too good for that. After i was done i went up and complimented the chef (he is a character) this guy asked details about of the sandwich on how I liked it and told me he gets emotional when he cooks.
