The quoted estimate was $1500 for the pads, brake calipers, drums, brake rotors, hardware kits, fluid, and labor. I had seen my car on a lift before taking it to Advantage Auto, and after inspecting the wheels, I knew the brake job was going to be involved (which is part of the reason I didn't want to do it myself). Jason loaned me a car for the day, which I greatly appreciated. AA worked from 9:00 till around 5:30 (they had delays in receiving parts from across town), and got me out of there the same day. My final price of $1300 was lower than the estimated $1500, as they didn't charge me for all the replacement parts. The brakes have been working as needed over the last month. Was it a lot of money? I took my 2014 Impala in for an oil change and filter and lube, they charged me $60, and I was pleased. Then I took my 2012 Challenger in 30 minutes later, and they roll the labor for the change and lube and filter into the cost of oil quarts which comes to around $12.50 per quart, which i find acceptable, then of course the oil filter which is a little extra. I also requested some new wind shield wiper blades, and they charged me $30 for those and $40 labor to put them on, which I find a little steep, so for an oil change/lube and new wiper blades it cost me $150, so I think that was a tad steep, and the reason the employee say that was the price was because their computer wasn't working or something like that, and they was ballparking it, so I spend $210 total for two oil changes and a pair of wiper blades, it is too bad I will have to keep looking, because I need coolant flushes on both cars soon, and I will not be returning there.
