This place is now the Cedar Haus. I give them credit for lightning it up, and definitely sprucing up the place. It's definitely a great local hangout and it's got a lot of character. However I hate to say, but I think they're trying too hard to make it something that it's not. We tried several options from the menu. As well as ordering a pizza that we asked for no green pepper, it took forever and came with green pepper. They were very kind and offered to make another one but considering we had already waited almost 35 minutes for our food, we decided to just deal with it. This place has craft cocktails, and a pretty extensive menu of drinks. Like I said I think they're trying too hard in a small town, they take more time making drinks than they do the food. 1. We arrived at 4:15PM and took a seat. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our order. We ordered 2 Dip sandwiches and 2 burgers. The order was missing items when we did receive it. 2. A second waitress stopped to take our order after 40 minutes after the first order was made by the first waitress and she appeared to be very confused. 3. We said is the food ready. The second watress replied, it will be out in 10 mins., it was not. It took an additional 15 mins to deliver it and the order was missing items that we clearly ordered. 4. We were told the order was late due to an extreme backup. Festival of lights parade is at 6pm each year and for some reason we are to except the excuse yet the festival of lights parade is done in Gladwin every year on time. 5. The order was wrong on 2 or the 4 dinner entries were missing fries and onion rings. 6. I asked to talk to the manager, and was told he was TO busy. No manager ever arrived nor did anyone come the the table to see if we needed anything other than beverage refills. 7. The orignal watress and second waitress were to busy and never asked how the meal was. We were just to except the fact the were busy. 8. We asked for the bill and the watress was very late in getting us the 2 separate bills. 9. The orignal watress said she had entered the order on time and it was not her fault, Yet the order was wrong and right on the bill we received. 10.Upon paying, no excuse or deduction was made for our dissatisfaction. POINT:Customer beware this event accures every year and although the business appears to be ready, they are not. You are left with disappointment and very poor customer service. Pizza is good. Service is friendly but usually need more when it's busy. Not the tidiest place but a relaxed atmosphere.

Good pizza however they forgot to make our bread and we had to wait another 20 minutes and got charged full price. But overall good food

Second time I've been in here (I live in indianapolis but grew up in Gladwin 45 years or so ago) and this is probably the 2nd best pizza I've ever had. Used to be one of my favorite places. But has seriously gone downhill! Got a pick up order, they forgot half my order so I had to wait for them to make it. My nachos had about 20 chips, fries were soggy and half cooked. The cook was right outside the back down smoking when I got there, like a step out the door behind the kitchen. Doubt he even washed his hands when he came in and made my fries; but was told "he does everything by the book so they are sure he washed his hands". Definitely will not be going back, which is sad as I used to go at least once a week. read more

My husband and I came in for dinner and asked the waitress what was good. She said the Rueben was great. It is advertised as a mile high corned beef. There was hardly any corned beef on the sandwich. I had a section of my sandwich with no corned beef! read more

My 4 nephews and I visited on a Monday evening. Three of them ordered burgers and they were obviously from frozen patties. One ordered the messy foot long Coney. They still scarfed down the food. I ordered the Philly hoagie. The green peppers and onions were still raw and uncooked. The meat was so dry I had to ask for mayonnaise. The bread itself was great...soft and very fresh. In the end I just ate the bread and the cheese. I was really disappointed In the food. Our waitress was ever nice and the service was great. read more

A small town bar, with big town gourmet pizza!! It was fantastic and since it's only 1/2 an hour from our cottage we will be back!!

Great food and great people! My favorites are the garlic cheese bread, pocket pizzas, olive burger, and the Munchie Mixer I.

Pull up to any folding table you wish and plop down. Surprised there weren't permanent tables but guess it beats a picnic table. Service was good, food was just okay. Nothing special. Pizza was ordered with extra cheese and barely had any. If you didn't order extra they must not put any cheese on at all? Run down hay barn decor needs to be updated, cleaned. Weird layout. Absolutely NO ATMOSPHERE whatsoever. No music playing and tv was off. Very cold inside like they forgot to pay their bill. Looks like it is a place for only lonely locals that don't know where else to go. No one friendly if they didn't recognize your face. Best advice...try somewhere ANYWHERE else! read more

Great value, delicious comfort food, and nice staff. When I travel to Michigan, this is the pizza my kids want and the other menu items are quite tasty. There are other options in town, but I haven't had them in years. Family friendly, and also the best bar in town with icy cold beer, full bar, and check out the entertainment. read more

We were basically told to take our business elsewhere. We came into the restaurant side which was filled with flies. We sat down ordered waters and then our drinks. The keg was being changed out so it would be awhile. We planned on pizza and we were told we'd have to wait at least fifty minutes. If that didn't tell us we weren't needed, the amount of flies did. read more

I've worked in a bar for years. I also have spent a lot of time in them thru out the years. Honestly, this is some of the worst service I've ever received. We didn't eat because we didn't get the chance. The bartender never returned to take our order, let alone fill our beers. Seriously, I'd suggest going to the bar across the street.
