Called them to unclog a kitchen drain. They used a cable and it was fixed in a reasonable amount of time -- charged me $450. THEN I asked them about a bathroom sink drain - they picked out a little hair and charged me $175!! I told the man if it was just a little hair I could do it. I later called the company and complained about the high price and the ridiculous charge for a 5 minute hair removal. The manager promised to refund me the $175.00. I just got my card statement and there is NO REFUND. This company is TOOOO EXPENSIVE and does not have good ethics. read more

Had a slow kitchen drain. Called them and they fixed it quick...so why only one star? Their pricing is not honest. At each call in the scheduling process I asked for a fee schedule. At each of the steps, I was told the next person would provide it. I was even specifically told I would know before anyone showed up. Mr rooter, doesn't stand by there work!! I am a truck driver, not a plumber and had them come out for a backup in our toilet! They pulled the toilet off got it unplugged and put everything back together! Well I thought they did it right, well I was wrong! They set the toilet down and never put the nuts on it to hold it in place , now the seal is broken and bad smells coming in to my house!! I guess I gotta fix what I paid to have done! We had been dealing with a strong odor coming from one of out bathrooms and suspected a ruptured toilet seal. Called Mr. Rooter in mid morning and they arrived early afternoon on the same day. Turned out we were correct, it was a bad seal. Replaced with a more substantial seal and calked around the base of the toilet. Also checked the septic system to make sure all was running well. I filed a claim with my warranty company that I had "leak under my sink" Mr Rooter accepted the job, and their dispatcher said "tomorrow between 8-5" so after waiting almost all day, I get a call about 2:00 that the technician was on the way. The technician admitted that water supply wasn't his field of expertise then to replace the one supply valve the quoted about $450! Which would have top be submitted to the warranty company for approval, they charged me a "show up fee". So I wait two days for word from my warranty company only to find out that Mr Rooter wasn't working with the Warranty Company! Why did they even take the job? Wasted about four days of my time. I REALLY appreciate that they are so responsive--even on the weekends. I called them one time for a BIG backup and they saved me. This last time I called them was also relatively urgent to come due to a back up in the floor drain from the washing machine and they were very responsive. From the first call to the time they departed the driveway it was a good experience. I previously owned a construction company and usually find much fault with all contractors. Scheduled yesterday for today and they called 30 minutes out and texted stating the technician was on the way with a picture of him, name, etc. Showed up on time, was clean and in a uniform. He listened and discussed the problem. Provided me a couple options and we discussed the pros/cons. Upon selecting an option I received a price and he went to work. Brought in a large mat to place in front of the cabinet/sink area, used shore covers and covers on the wheels of the equipment. Brought towels to catch water and debris. HOME OWNER AND BUSINESS BEWARE!!!Made a appointment for a valve move up and drain change from bathtub to tiled shower. A day before they call and say the appointment has to be changed"why make an appointment"?The "technician" not plumber shows up with a I pad to take hour long pictures of job. When the technician was finished with pictures he said it will be 1300. I should of told him no thank you but the tile installers we're waiting for the valve to be moved and drain installation. The technician didn't like my comment " bunch of theives" he went to his truck called his boss came back and said I spoke to my boss and he said that they were offended by comment and refused to do the job. To move the valve and replace drain took from 130 pm to 422pm. The times do not include the hour long pictures to I pad.Once finished the technician says If you buy our advantage plan for 199. SCAM I'll discount the amount. SCAM So I have the "advantage plan" with a company I would never let back on my property. If I had hired a journeyman plumber for an hour it would of been completed with way less cost. 366.66 an hour is outrageous read more

They were quick to show up and they were very nice but the plumber was installing a pressure reducing valve that had failed and in the process accidentally reversed the hot and cold intakes. At first he told me the handles on the sink were installed that way but I insisted they weren't and neither was EVERY OTHER sink/shower in the house. He fixed it and pretended that it was a "weird thing" that hot water was just suddenly coming out of the cold water faucet. While doing it the kitchen sink cold water valve failed and he replaced it which was nice but a $350 job became a $730 job because of the sink? That seems a little high for a sink valve replacement. I mentioned that eventually we were thinking of replacing the hot water tank and so he did a quote for that just for future reference. It came in at a little over $1900 to replace a hot water tank! That seemed WAY high for a 50 gallon electric tank replacement. Great workers but just way too over priced. read more

Living in an apartment, we are not able to find our own plumber and this is the company our complex uses. My son flushed a toy train down the toilet and it became lodged inside the toilet itself. The Plumber came quite quickly after the landlady contacted him and was pretty quick with fixing the toilet. He was friendly and professional while he worked and it only took him about an hour. That all checked out but the Price was shocking. I have never had to pay a plumber for anything before so it may have been average price, but I honestly was thinking it would cost about half of what it ended up being. Waaay too overpriced. Their overheads are worse than a hospital's. The plumber charges more than I do /hour and I went to school for a good 27 years. When a plumber (X) said I'm going to pick up a part from our store (0.3 miles from my house) and disappeared for 1.5 hours, I called the dispatcher, and she said "I can't have him waiting around until you talk to your wife and decide whether or not you want to do the fix - he's doing the next job". (Side note: I did not say that...). I was interrupted and shouted at by the dispatcher (Y) while trying to explain that I signed the tablet and agreed to pay the ridiculously high quoted price - the guy just disappeared on me and is apparently (according to her) on the next job. Reason prevailed for a brief moment and she agreed to send X back in. End of the day, after spending the whole day waiting and getting 2 visits from X (and a quote/price estimate for the wrong fix), my shower faucet was still leaking. I ended up fixing it myself (opted not to do that in the beginning for safety, well I'm not a plumber after all... that said, and after witnessing X in action, I'm not sure I would've trusted his work over mine, particularly since he wanted to change a cartilage in a shower that needs a valve rebuild). Very upsetting experience overall, wasted day/nerves and I ended up doing the work myself instead of spending the time with my baby boy. Oh and by the way: no protective shoe covering or face mask (X does not believe in dirt or Covid). WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM EVER. If I could give negative stars, I would. This has been the worst customer service experience my husband and I can think of. If you choose to use this company, make sure the person who comes to your house is a licensed plumber (they sent an apprentice to our house unsupervised, which is illegal in the state of Washington). My husband called Sunday mid-day about a frozen and broken pipe outside in our pump house. No one was available Sunday (not a huge surprise), so Monday between 12-2 was our apt time. When the guy showed up at 2:00 on the dot, my husband took him outside to look at the problem. The employee told me husband he's usually their "drain guy" and this pipe problem was "a little out of my territory". Long story short, after 2 trips to Richland (we live in west Pasco) and the second trip was because he grabbed the wrong sized fittings, even though my husband told him he needed a 1 3/4", he didn't believe him and grabbed a 1", the employee was only able to work on the pipe for maybe 45 minutes total before he ended up calling it a night at 6pm. (The work he had installed was leaking and he said he needed to come back in the morning with his supervisor to finish the job). After he left, my husband went out and looked at what he had installed, which wasn't up to code (My husband is a construction electrician and is familiar with this sort of stuff). The next day we were told they would be back between 12-2. At 1pm they called and said they would be an hour late. At 3:30 they called and said it would be another 1 1/2 hours before someone came out. At that point my husband asked to speak with the manager. The manager called him back at 5pm. The manager admitted the original guy who came out to fix the pipe was an apprentice, which, according to Washington state law are not allowed to work unsupervised. At this point the manager said he would come out and fix the pipe himself, my husband told him if he could come out and fix it for free, he would appreciate it. The manager told him he would still have to the charge him a "discounted service fee", which at this point my husband told him not to bother coming out. Their original quote the first day was $850 to fix everything. So for $12 and an hours labor and some research online, my husband was able to fix it himself with a buddy and finally restore water back to our house after not having water for 4 days, and dealing with Mr. Rooter for 2 days. Also, my husband plans on reporting them to Labor and Industries for working an apprentice without supervision. read more
