She explained the programming process to me and advised me it would be between 20 and 30 minutes. That half hour went by quickly because she was so friendly and helpful. I can tell she enjoys her career. While I was there, someone came in asking a question. She called the owner and he answered right away. I can tell that this company offers great customer service. While I was waiting, I remembered I needed a spare key to a lock box. She was honest in telling me that she didn't have the exact key but that she would try to duplicate it. This pandemic has changed a lot of things in our lives. Little things that you did not notice now is very important. I find myself gardening more, however my gardening tools needed sharpening. Where to go close to home? So I go to Yelp and find this place. Right near home and must have driven by it hundreds of times unnoticed until now. So first visit I drop off two pairs of clippers and while I am there why not get hubby a key for the front door. I only put that off seven years. Lol. When I go to pick up the clippers I drop off six kitchen knives. My life now revolves around cooking and gardening on my free time so it is good to have my tools in tip top shape. My husband needs to make a copy of his Freightliner semi truck key and a guy offered him 2 options: one is a plastic key for $10 and other is a metal one for $85. The other locksmiths when I called regarding a copy of a key told me their price average between $50-$100. This place offered 2 options: cheap and expensive. Its nice to have options. Great customer service but this was highway robbery I was quoted $140 then it went up to 240 then 280 in the end it was 316.35 not including tip for the service. I actually didn't end up using their service, but I really appreciate that they were honest with me and gave me advice! The story is that I had called a few places that couldn't make the key for my car. After a few tries, finally a different company they told me they could. I scheduled them but kept trying other shops. I ended up calling Mr. Sharpies and spoke with Tommy; he told me they could make my key for half of what I was quoted. The only thing is that I'd have to go to them, and they're a little far for me (especially without access to my car, haha). Either way, Tommy let me know that I was getting overcharged and to look for another place. I asked for a referral and he didn't even have one for that far away, but I was able to find another place that was charging me a fair amount thanks to him letting me know what I should be looking for. It's rare for businesses in this area to be honest and helpful like that even if it doesn't end up in a sale, so thank you again! read more

I inquired about a lock for my chainlink fence and he offered to come by to see it and give me an estimate for what would work best for my yard. He also sharpens knifes! I called Mr. Sharpies Locksmith after reading a review about it being an honest business. Even though the person did not used their services due to distance, the customer received proper guidance. I called the business in reference to getting a quote for a defective Magna Latch installed on a gate that leads to the pool area. Mr. Sharpie explained their service cost and said the technician will call yo coordinate appointment. Dave called and was able to come to the house immediately. When Dave arrived, he notified me Magna locks are guaranteed for life. He stated he will try to repair it but I could call the company and receive a new one if the repair was not successful. David was able to place the pin back in its place and put the lock back together. Before I hired Mr. Sharpie's Locksmith, I called approximately 3 different services; I received quotes raging from $300 to $350. I am very thankful for the honest, professional, friendly, and prompt service of Mr Sharpie. The service cost me $100. Dave is a very polite, soft spoken, and knowledgeable young man. I was very satisfied and I ended up setting an appointment for a new lock installation at a different property. I highly recommend Mr. Sharpie's Locksmith. Two weeks to respond to my review. New business owner says he believes that their prices are "reasonable and fair." I totally disagree, and apparently so do others who also complain of the massive price gouging here under this new ownership of a long trusted establishment - one customer calls it "highway robbery." My vehicle is a 30 year old 1993 Volvo and I asked for 4 keys to be cut. Simple easy key cut. No fobs, no batteries, no electronics, these keys are from a time of simplicity and there is NOTHING complicated or special about them. You charged me 2.5 TIMES the amount your competitor Lee's Locksmith charged for the EXACT same key just days later. Lee's charged me $16 for the 4 keys. You charged me $40!!! That's $24 MORE than Lee's for the exact same 4 keys. OUTRAGEOUS! You'd never accept that kind of "highway robbery" if you were the customer. I don't know what planet or world you live in that makes you think your prices are "fair and resonable." I would have never know how badly you had robbed me had I not needed 4 more of the same keys and stopped in at Lee's a couple days later. "FAIR and REASONABLE" is found at Lee's Locksmith! Lee's has been around and owned by the same good people for decades and they know better than to scam the residents they serve. You've just recently taken ownership of Mr. Sharpies and it is NOT the same business. I feel foolish having stepped foot inside your business and for having been taken advantage of like that. Business and reputation takes care of itself. You fooled me once, but never again. Keep the $24 you overcharged me. Mr. Sharpies saved me the other day. I arrived at my house after a 3.5 hour drive from Orlando, it was 9 PM. My key broke off in the lock and I had no way to get into my house. I was with my friend, and he said he'd look up locksmiths. I said zero chance anyone is open and available at 9 PM on a Sunday. He found Mr. Sharpies and said it was open 24 hours.
