I was inconsistent with a terribly inefficient swing that was honestly harder on my body than it needed to be. I have one lesson left out of a 15 lesson pack and I've dropped to a 13.8 handicap now and have shot a handful of rounds of 84 recently (and can feel that elusive 79 just out of reach). My mechanics have improved tremendously which also makes my back and body feel so much better after a round and it cannot be overstated how valuable that is. I play 36 regularly with no real issues now! I started with Ian who was perfect for what I needed at the time but when he moved on the customer service here was incredible to get me set up with a new instructor in Ty Klippenstein. Ty has pushed me to the next level, I love the way he explains things, he can explain the science behind the swing and ball flight and also bring it back to basics for you. It works for me at least. If you're going to actually utilize the practice sessions on top of the lessons GOLFTEC really is a great value and if you're in the Valley I can't recommend Ty enough.

Customer service matters, especially in a specialty store where people come to learn and get advice. I'm actually someone who prefers supporting local businesses and avoiding shopping online from places like Amazon whenever possible, because I understand how it impacts local stores. But experiences like this make it really difficult to justify that choice. I hope this is something that can be improved, because right now, it's hard to feel motivated to shop here.

A quick browse to see what else they had in stock for clubs and sorts. There's a good selection, the other employees were friendly asking if we need anything. Layout of store was kind of everything all together. Even though they had things in their department, it still felt like it was all together. I've been working with Coach James Jordan -- JJ -- for about six months now. My main reason for…read morereaching out was pretty simple: I wanted to enjoy golf again. My swing had gotten flat and inconsistent, and as I've gotten older, it was becoming less sustainable and was even starting to cause some pain. JJ and I started with a half-day workshop focused on the fundamentals. Instead of trying to force me into a generic swing, he helped me understand how my swing should work for my body and built a baseline from there. I won't lie -- it's been a process. Some of the changes were dramatically different from what I had done for years, and I didn't grasp everything immediately. JJ has already helped my game after just two hours working together immensely. He not only has taught me how to make the right adjustments to my swing but is the first golf coach I have worked with that taught me how to properly practice and work on my game. The space is modern and tech-forward, with everything digitally set up. There's no receptionist, but the troubleshooting is quick if you need help. When you book a session, you get a code for entry. As soon as you walk in, it has a trendy, chill vibe. There's a lobby area with chairs, drinks for purchase (sodas/sports drinks), and a TV to pass the time. The venue has four bays (three open and one private), each with a small bar table and stools for seating. There's also a bathroom towards the back labeled the 19th hole. They provide free sets of clubs to use (for all skill levels, both men and women), though most people bring their own. Setting up on the computer is easy, and the technology behind the simulators is seriously impressive, with motion-sensing lidar cameras that track your shots pretty accurately. You get your own player profile, and you can set the skill level-- beginner for me! Each bay also has a TV, so you can play music or watch something while you play. Even though I didn't end up playing all 18 holes, there wasn't a moment where I wasn't entertained - I'd say great if you want to get your partner into your hobby, ha. There's different tiered memberships that you can join and we also saw that there was a league, which I thought was a pretty cool concept. Nadia is the one receptionist who seems to care about this facility and her customers. This gym being an all womens gym is a great concept, and makes for a very comfortable workout. The ambience is amazing, the dim lighting is wonderful. The equipment is up to date and very clean. Sauna and lymphatic roller are the main reasons why I am keeping this membership, thus far. Here are my big complaints with this facility. I am not sure why I am paying $100 a month, for a/c that has been out in this building since I started. I thought this would have been fixed by now. They have 2 portable units that are not cutting it. It is so hot in there, it has to be at least 80-85 degrees. There are supposed to be three showers, when only one has been working, since again starting this gym. One shower!! The steam room is not really a steam room, I don't know what is happening in there, it just smells musty, and steam?, not a true steam room. Also, a daily wellness shot (drink) is included in the membership, since joining I have only got two! Every time I ask for one they have seemed to run out. I get it by the end of the day they could run out, but by 9am! Makes no sense. Also hours could be better. Opening at 8am on the weekends is pretty late. It's nice to go early in the morning and get your workout done with. Last, I have written to the company several times with my complaints, especially being a new member. I was very nice as well. I have received one response back saying the mall is the issue with the a/c, and the showers are fixed. The showers are not fixed, there is one out of three. That is not fixed. And this a/c issue is ridiculous. This is a high price membership for what is being offered. Something has to change or you will be losing a lot of business and for such a great gym/trainers. Don't let it go to waste!
